Like cornrlshs said I've been using the USB port on the top for years 2 supply my colorado on the bike. (bought it from ebay) Problem is, it has rattled itself loose so badly that I can't even use it to upload waypoints on my laptop. I opened it but can't see how I can remove the usb hub without removing the circuit board...any ideas?

Look on the top of your Colorado, there is a USB port... It just needs a special usb power cable, so it not goes into "create GPX file" mode
Costs about 5-10 USD...
Search for "Colorado 300 power cable on google!"

Just put the Colorado in "Garmin Spanner Mode" and the unit gets it's power from the USB port or carplug with USB connector!
