The Continental was a little step back in looks (too "aerodynamic"-esque).

But the Mulsanne here is the best of both previous cars.

...and it gets to keep the the older and WAY torquier V8 engine!

Its not a 6.7 litre engine, its a 6.75 litre engine. Thats the engine size bentleys and Roll Royces have been using for YEARS. And actually they say 6 3/4 litre engine, as marked on the Engine. Did you even lift the bonnet?

I like the Arnage, but I think the Mulsanne front end is attractive as well with it's large single headlamps. It looks clean, broad and upright, and classically elegant. Like a modern day redux on an old car, which is basically what it is. Quad lamps, like those of the Continental would have been too busy, and not as distinctive to the Mulsanne... From pictures though, the rear belt line doesn't seem to be in complete unison with the roof.

Rolls Royce and Bentley used to owned by the same company. They're cut from the same cloth so to speak, thus, it wouldn't be surprising if a Bentley shared some design characteristics with a Rolls. With that said, I don't see a single hint of Maybach styling in this car. To bring up Maybach in a sentence with Rolls Royce and Bentley is an insult to the latter two thoroughbred luxury brands.

I think this is one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Its so perfect in proportions. Details are just amazing, silhouette from the side is absolutely gorgeous. Its very elegant and quite aggressive at the same time. Hands down the most beautiful luxury sedan today. I honestly dont know how some people dont like it...where is your taste?

Solid car. However, the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe and the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V are both better in my opinion. They are faster, more powerful, and most of all...American-made. Amazing that this car uses a Rolls~Royce engine first used in the Silver Cloud II in 1969 - hence the pushrods! It began as a 6239cc V8 and was also used in the Bentley S3. This is a tribute to the British RR engineers and is a far better motor than the W12 used in other Bentleys. The car continues the tradition set by Rolls~Royce who called the Bentley "The Silent Sports Car!"
