I start everyday with this tune, it gets me in the GOOD mood right away. The best tempo around! Thanks again for posting this composition played of course by Acker Bilk.
@naoisemarie In another post someone said that Mr. Acker Bilk 82 was playing in september of this year. I would assume somewhere near his home town in UK.
Pensford. Applause Mr. Acker Bilk. Keep it up! Sir David, New York USA
I worked in a record shop when this came out, all the regular singles were 6/8d, but this wonderful number & Chris Barber's "Revival " were a bit more; both stunning performances.
Aint nobody in the world plays this like Sapper Bilk! I first heard him play this at some festival in the open in 1961 somewhere in southern England I cannot remember, but Acker was drinking cider from a 1/2 gallon Goonie, wow...
It was the Beaulie Jazz but I recal it as 1959 festival in the gardens of Lord Montague Estate I were there walked acroos Salisbury Plain to to get their
Thats more like it...proper trad jazz with the greatest clarinetist of all time. Remids me of dancing at the Chinese Jazz Club (with Uncle Bonny) in Bristol back in the 60s......and Acker makes a lovel cup of tea too.
Great to hear this track by Acker and his band - a Sidney Bechet tune, I think. I bought this single - a double-sider with 'Stara and Stripes forever' - great stuff.
I also bought this as a single, but it got lost in a move. It has taken me 35 years to track it down. I also love Stars and Stripes Forever which I also have uploaded.
Gotta love Creole Jazz!

I've seen a Video (Film) of this tune on a French TV Music channel. I used to have it on tape, but that's sadly been lost.
The interesting thing about the video was that it was shown "Mirror Image". It would be nice to see the film on YouTube.

No, this is not a Sidney Bechet tune, but it is the composition of Claude Luter.
The fantastic clarinet plaing of Mr. Acker Bilk made this number famouos.
