I saw this live in Finland. Horrible moments. I thought Heikki was dead couse i didn't see him moving. Few minutes later i saw he was ok. i said: Thank god he is ok.
@raikkonenislikeagod the only problem was that tyre protection bofore the wall, because the car cut it into two halfes and crashed under the tyres, so it could have cut off his head in anyway if he would have been unlucky. The crash itself wasn't that hard so he could have died.
A testament to how safe modern F1 cars are, just a couple of decades ago this impact could have decapitated him

@Busido4 Yes it resembles but the cause is different. Schumi one was a brake failure and Kovalainen pops a tire...

he really was lucky.I think alot of people tought he was dead,a few years ago he probaply would have died..just goes to show how safe these cars are
