I was in the service with Ray Brown. We had a band we worked together in, and played in Myrtle Beach every night in the summertime. We usually had 5 or 6 singers, and 6 to 8 musicians on the stage at one time. Ray was one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with. Love to get hold of him. After leaving service, I never heard from him again, until 1967, when I caught up with him in Ft. Walton Florida.

It was a real pleasure, to hear their "Girl Talk" arrangement....always thought, it was a well written tune. The female dancers, were sexy and I was thinking of all the men in Japan, that were happy to enjoy a little Western seduction.......!!!

@kaunasprince The horn play is Ken Albers. The other, left to right are : Ray Brown, Ross Barbour, Bob Flanagan. Ken passed away a few years ago, and Bob just passed away this year.

I saw group 4 Four Freshmen in Ventura
California at a nice hotel in '77.
The adding of Ray Brown on keyboards
had it benefits. A fuller backing including
"string" section sounds which gave it
a studio sound. Plus the big band on the second song with the Japanese girl singer and the Japanese vocal group really fills everything out so nicely. I love all the vintage Freshmen videos recently. It's been
years since I've seen this Freshmen era.
