SASR and Commando are SF, so are clearance divers, Airfield Defence Guards ARE NOT SF! at all, in any way shape or form. Also TAG East and West are teams run by 2CDO and SASR respectively. Apart from that good job :)
Funny enough adg's are considered special forces i don't think they are classified sf but there training consists of over 30 weapon classifications and are trained with some sf for training probably sasr
im in the middle of recruitment stage of the army hoping to get in as a rifleman i train hard every night 5 kms a night and work out 3 times per week i think the idea of joining straight up as a commando is tantilising but i dont want to fail anything ever so i will give it time and prepare mentally and physically for a while before i try for it

Yes, way! My hubby is ex-SAS and I am ex US Navy. I am very appreciative of those who serve. When I lived in Oz for awhile, I enjoyed visiting the RSL - I was made to feel very welcome. In a lonely place, I always had friends. I won't forget that.
ADG's do pretty tough training more than the average soldier. Plenty Physical work and small teams like SF.
They also patrol away from any camp for up to around 5 days at a time. They are responsible for the protection of Air bases and are the first contact with enemy forces at least 5 to 10km's from the actual air base.
They specialise in more weapons and systems than the average soldier too.
For ground based units (Not water) they are between SF and regular army. Long history too.
yeah adg are great but like you said within 5 - 10kms from an air base... regular army Infantry and SF reserve or regs can be out a hell of a lot further than ADGs they are air force tho therefor they are lame hahaha jokes they're good too but army kicks air force ass

ADG's do pretty tough training more than the average soldier. Plenty Physical work and small teams like SF.
They also patrol away from any camp for up to around 5 days at a time. They are responsible for the protection of Air bases and are the first contact with enemy forces at least 5 to 10km's from the actual air base.
They specialise in more weapons and systems than the average soldier too.
For ground based units (Not water) they are between SF and regular army. Long history too.

the Stery is NOT lighter.....NOT easier to reload and the SS109 round does far more damage than the M4 round. The Steyr round is not compatible with the M4 round. Fraser you are wrong on every comment.
Oh. The Steyr WAS a good assualt rifle, before ADI got hold of it and put so much fruit on, it has become an ungainly heavy piece of crap.
