  • that's just a prototype they will be renumber to 6091-96 and 5381-86 they will be renumber to 6081-86

  • My first impression of the Toronto Rocket is that there are a few superfluous characteristics. For example, it waits 4 seconds before opening the door. Same goes for after it closes the door, it waits 5 seconds before leaving the station. Also it seems redundant that the automated voice has to say "Please stand clear of doors" when closing because everybody knows that.

  • @sciencegenius123 yeah, and thats what the door chimes are for anyway

  • Nice these trains are epic, happy to see them articulated to that you can walk through the next train instead, which leads more space and also useful for emergency exit runs

  • Are they in service?

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks - Not yet.

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks They are now :D

  • They do use Bombardier's propulsion system, right?

  • @alchemistmuffin I believe they are built entirely by Bombardier. The motors are Bombardier's Mitrac motor.

  • It sounds like it has the same traction motors like the one found in NYC on their new cars

  • The electronic horn sounds like the ones used on the BART cab cars in the San Francisco Bay Area.

  • They are really nice looking but I hate how they sound (They sound so boring) :( I was hoping they would sound a bit more like the T1s. I wonder why the chimes are so quiet and out of sync with the lights?

  • They're celebrity now, but it's kind of hard to believe the rockets will be essentially mundane within the next year or so and seeing/riding an H6 will be a special event.......

  • One thing that's a shame though, is that due to the full-length driver cabs at both ends of the TR trains, passengers may not (or get a limited view) see the front of the train unless if they're outdoors.

  • The horns on these new TR trains sounds similar to the T1 cars.

  • So finally after 5 years of waiting, the first TR train will enter passenger service in June 2011.

  • i remember frst seeing it by suprise at davisville, really nice job on the exterior

  • It's about time they improve the transit system.....

My friends who traveled here were disappointed.
