There are a lot of talk about when Evanescence was formed, I've seen many different years and I don't know wich one it is. If you trust Swedish wikipedia - you should not do that! - they were formed in 1994. But WT released their first album before them. I don't see many similarities between the two of them, they are not even in the same category... I think both are great.

yeah download is in england its held at donington the ancesteral home of metal festivals but download is no longer as good as when it started as back then it was a metal fest now its a majority indie and trend fest with only a few metal bands allowed to play

But "Evanescence" are one year older than "Within Temptation" Evanescence was formed in 1995 and Within Temptation was formed in 1996.
