I love the "I Am" documentary Film... but I believe that there is a Political Party that is the "Party of Greed, the "Party of NOT helping the poor, sick, hungry, the elderly, the 'least of these,'" and a political party that has complete disdain for the environment, air & water, nature, the planet.... Am I alone in thinking this???

Bacterial colonies engage in biological warfare with each other, native species are wiped out by invasive species, males kill the offspring of rivals, etc. Democracy is also a joke. Animals don't vote and people just think they do. If I choose what you vote on and select all of your choices, I've essentially told you what to do.

Message portrayed by the film or not, it's still a movie, and the makers still deserve to be paid out, as do the cast and crew. You can say only 4 or 5 people worked on it, but the end product would have been worked on by 100's. But your right, they are trying to make a career for themselves but they dont deserve to be paid so that the movie can put out a stronger message.
@dazlemwithlovelight I don't think they're making much profit from this, they're probably just barely covering the costs of producing the film. Whether that's contradicting the content of this film, I'm not so sure. We are interconnected, and so we should be supporting and encouraging each other, rather than (in a way) trying to take advantage of one-side of a story. If you want to see more of these films, you'll need to help maintain it financially especially in these times.

I saw this movie last night. It is inspiring. It also includes a good deal of discussion with leading scientists from the Institute of HeartMath about the nature of the heart's role in our bodies and how we are all connected in ways we might not imagine.
I am at my best and most happy when I am helping others. I feel the desire to comfort a person I see in distress or talk to someone walking by me. I felt this world is too cruel for me. It is in our DNA, mirror neurons interconnect all human beings. We are living contrary to what biology intended. Darwin mentioned survival of the fittest twice and love ninety five times. Darwin said reconciliation, sympathy, empathy and other basic motivations is what draws human society together. Lets be one!

@Huboons Well when you;re presented with the phrase alone, I agree, that crosses into naivety. But I think you're reading more into the film than is actually presented. The means of achieving a society wherein we use our resources more logically and efficiently are not mentioned, just that it should happen. It's true that some believe it ideal to redistribute our wealth (for example money, but wealth is lots of other things) or have a state-managed system, but neither of these are mentioned.

I just saw a screening the other night. This film is ACCESSIBLE, FUNNY, PROFOUND- a CLEAR, GUIDING LIGHT directing our way "Home" to the heart. A sweet marriage between spirituality and science, light and shadow, yin and yang, every authentic part of me was satisfied by watching this movie. WONDERFUL!!! I saw the film at the Savannah Film Festival and was BLOWN AWAY! I had already seen similar films like What the Bleep Do We Know?! and Spirit Space, and this was in a related vein. VERY well done. Plus, this is the first film documentary I've seen that acknowledges the ancient wisdom of indigenous cultures and tells how we can use that wisdom today. I may be wrong and please correct me, but this could be made "FREE", to reach the widest number of peeps? I know that it will "BRING IN DOLLARS" with a price tag, it just seems to contradict the message of the film for me. Maybe ask for donations instead of putting a price that many cannot pay. Message portrayed by the film or not, it's still a movie, and the makers still deserve to be paid out, as do the cast and crew. You can say only 4 or 5 people worked on it, but the end product would have been worked on by 100's. But your right, they are trying to make a career for themselves but they dont deserve to be paid so that the movie can put out a stronger message.

@dazlemwithlovelight I don't think they're making much profit from this, they're probably just barely covering the costs of producing the film. Whether that's contradicting the content of this film, I'm not so sure. We are interconnected, and so we should be supporting and encouraging each other, rather than (in a way) trying to take advantage of one-side of a story. If you want to see more of these films, you'll need to help maintain it financially especially in these times.

The means of achieving a society wherein we use our resources more logically and efficiently are not mentioned, just that it should happen. It's true that some believe it ideal to redistribute our wealth (for example money, but wealth is lots of other things) or have a state-managed system, but neither of these are mentioned.

@Huboons The prima facie -literally "on its first encounter, or at first sight"- conclusion (which, when the movie is viewed, IS rebutted) that there is an aim to use ineffective (though this is only what your tone implies) collectivist aim at redistributing wealth inherent in the film is an emotional one, as the fear of deprivation, scarcity, oppression, etc. result in the illusions of "mine", and "I" , etc. These ideas don't consider the objective reality that we mentioned before.

My aim arriving at the most relevant frame of reference in respect to effective social operation on a closed-system. This includes the assessment that an organism cannot be extricated from it's environment, and the "self" is -scientifically, not philosophically- only relevant within a limited frame of reference.

I just saw a screening the other night. This film is ACCESSIBLE, FUNNY, PROFOUND- a CLEAR, GUIDING LIGHT directing our way "Home" to the heart. A sweet marriage between spirituality and science, light and shadow, yin and yang, every authentic part of me was satisfied by watching this movie. WONDERFUL!!! I saw the film at the Savannah Film Festival and was BLOWN AWAY! I had already seen similar films like What the Bleep Do We Know?! and Spirit Space, and this was in a related vein. VERY well done. Plus, this is the first film documentary I've seen that acknowledges the ancient wisdom of indigenous cultures and tells how we can use that wisdom today. HIGHLY recommended for everyone of all races, cultures, and creeds! Thanks Tom!
