  • watch?v=16DfxUqKu8A&feature=related

  • ill be doing an anime discussion on this soon check my channel out sometime

  • guan yu is the best ever

  • I love how the characters are based on how they look in the old Destiny of an Emperor game; Lu Bu is basically the exception (in DoaE he looked like Samson, with long blond hair and no beard)

  • What the heck? Why is it that the Chinese and Japanese get awesome, kickass shows like these, while us stupid Americans get stuck with Spongebob Squarepants? It's not fair! :(

  • Lubu

  • WOW! I never knew so many people liked the ROTTK and DW Series!

  • Love Guan Yu for being a man of his beard!

  • i love this sooooooooooooo much but i wish that they would make a proper tv serises or even some films that are either animay or real people

like if you agree dis-like if you dont and say why

  • @MrGecko500 there is a show with real people, its called 'Three Kingdoms'

  • cool combat

  • Dynasty Warriors is the BEST

  • I thought the Japanese hated the Chinese??

  • @TheAgentBlonde007 Other way around. Chinese hate Japanese for Nanking and other atrocities. Japan keeps denying that Nanking ever happened. You see the problem right?

  • @Salaisor oh..yeah I don't blame them!

  • @TheAgentBlonde007 well but it doesn't mean that they hate Chinese history and legends ;)...the Japanese r amazing (even as an ethnically Chinese person)

  • The bible quotes Jesus. Jesus never spoke English, so how does it do it? Is the bible magic? Or is it just an english language version of the story? Some might pick the first but I tend to the latter. This is the Japanese language version of the story. If you dont like it, I'm sure you can find a Russian version, or a Thai version, or a Basque version if you really want one.

  • awww I used to adore this when I was little brings back memories!!

  • this shit is fucking dumb, first zhang fei looks like the monkey king, second it's in japanese, and three kingdoms is in china.

either way, this thing is an epic fail

  • @poppoppop802 it's in Japanese cause it's a cartoon from Japanese TV!! Dumb arse!!

  • @GottaBeSaid dude, three kingdoms takes place in china, and they don't speak fucking japanese, it's like associating real men with cissy japanese fuckers

  • @poppoppop802 Huh? You miss the point! The show was on JAPANESE TV so it's in the language the VIEWER can understand! Same as watching a show in your country about a foreign country in YOUR language. No one says it takes place in Japan!! Have you watched it in English or read the book in English? That doesn't mean it takes place in England, dumb arse!

  • i think that the rebels had a good right to rebel because their taxs are to high so that means that they cant get food so that means that they will starve so yer GO REBELS =)

  • where is the live action Romance of the Three Kingdoms series?! I can't find it!!

  • @maniamaster2 Hey, i found a torrent for it today, downloading with 150+kbs, not that fast but atlest it's the real deal, msg me if you want it! :)

  • like if you watching this in 2011

  • @kyttylolable No, I'm watching this in 2012 ;)

  • @kyttylolable It's 2012 for me... should I dislike this then?

  • So you just killed a mother and child what honor is that????? :'(

  • @ayeeRebelpartiie yer a bit harsh but thats the way you have to be to show people that your not happy with them

  • Dynasty Warriors went downhill after DW5 for me...

  • why does he call Liu Bei a kid he was like 25 or 26 when the yellow turban rebellion started.

  • did the people who made this ever play the series or watch the movie? cause its very wrong........ Guan Yu is pretty good but Zhang Fei and Liu Bei they messed up cuz Lui Bei was an heir to Liu Shsng i think?

  • @HotHeadVegeta it's made by the japanese.

  • where is Zhang Fei's moustache..

  • I love the dynasty warrior games, and the RTK series....but this is odd

  • wasn't there more than three kingdoms?

  • @ninjagust112 sort of, there were a number of territories controlled by various warlords, generals and imperial inspectors. The story covers the period from 184 AD to roughly 280 AD The title refers to the period from roughly 220AD to 280AD when there were only three kingdoms left.

  • @ninjagust112 yes but this is way before then and what Zhuge Liang called his Three Kingdom's Strategy

  • It is funny how the Japanese like to call these three kingdom animes (there is quite a few of them!) by the name of 三国志(Records of the three kingdoms), while it is obvious the whole story line if from 三国志演義 (Romance of the three kingdoms).

The Record is an actual historical document, while the Romance is a fiction.

  • nani?

  • Dinasty warriors 7 is fucking eppiiicccccccccccc

  • Kind of ironic to see Zhang Fei use those lines since he was executed due to abusing his soldiers on command...

  • @SolBadguyXX zhang fei was assasinated during his sleep.. so murdered.

  • Dynasty Warriors 7 c'min up

  • @youneveri im going to buy it today :D

  • I think this is for kid...

  • I wonder how accurate the costume design in these Japanese adaptations of Sangokushi really are. Wasn't Zhang Fei supposed to be an ugly man ? in this he just looks like a standard 80s anime hero with a couple of scars on his face.

  • @sarcasmagasm In fact, no, there is no mention about him being "ugly" neither "handsome" and he was about 17-20 years old when he met Liu Bei and Guan Yu and fought against the yellow turbans, so his characterization is perfectly fine: he looks like a drunky, hairy young man xD

  • @CarmenMCS I was thinking more of traditional depictions of him in traditional Chinese paintings, where he is depicted as having a rather frightening, intimating appearance. They kind of do something similar in depictions of him in the Romance of the three Kingdoms Video Game series and the dynasty warriors video game series.

  • liu bei a farmer?? O.O

  • no dynasty warrior is based on this story

  • is this based of dnasty worriors?

  • @tomboypanda This is based off of the chinese literary classic "Romance of the three kingdoms" which in turn is based off actual historical events.

  • It is in japanese. -_- Mandarin would have been so much cooler. ^^

  • it's been like a decade since i saw this anime last time, and now for the love of GOD finally i FOUND it.

  • death to the yellow turbans! D:<

  • could do without the cheesy Voltron-style opening. I thought the theme music for the original nes game was perfect.

  • @rabidrabbitshuggers

The opening for this is pretty manly.

  • Anyone know where you can find the opening theme but in instrumental version? Better yet - a chinese instrumental version like you hear in the Lubu + Diao Chan chapter?

  • grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! i hate huang bu.(yellow turbans) and dong zhuo

  • Stupid japans.

  • loved the games, its a great story :D

  • Romance of the Three Kingdoms really changed my life. I love it. I'm obsessed with it. And I'm proud of it.

  • A.D. 184...war was beginning...(im sure its been said before, but whatever)

  • omg i love this game series and novel i never knew it had a show!

  • this video brings me fine memory i even used to be scared of the dragon on the opening theme

  • this is all based on a very old chinese historical novel called three kingdoms or in some translations the romance of the three kingdoms. its probly my favorite book ever wrote and also one of the most popular/printed books in all asia. by Luo Guanzhong, they say its about 70 percent historical and 30 percent fiction. a VERY good book, pick it up today!

  • man there used to be like a full series of all the episodes here on youtube. what happen to them?

  • as far as i know zhang fei is fat???

  • how many episodes?????

  • I am a soldier of Shu!

  • I miss Yokoyama-sensei...

  • 4:31 I can already tell by the name that these guys are going to get their asses kicked. Were it Yi Ji I'd have said differently, and now, I've just noticed something. I've been playing the strategy game for too long.

  • wow....Dynasty Warriors had a Good Story to pick from.

  • if u love the movie then start playing Heroes of Three Kingdoms Online ..

Its a Great Game Then Look For MugenShoryu

  • Funny :B just like in ROTK and DW you fight the yellow Turbans first :3

  • I watched this anime in arabic when i was young .

    I totally prefer Cao Cao

  • @queenofswords89

    he's a tyrant

  • did you get here because of dynasty warriors?

  • i own the comic book series and i believe it is the same drawing. however in the comic, there is a lot violence (decapitation lots of blood and so on) however the comic is black and white

  • the dragon from dragon ball z 0_o

  • I don't get it X.X is Durarara is the modern version of RotK?

  • This is absurd. I dont understand how people could misunderstand the significance of 'Romance of three Kingdoms'. Most artworks and films and animations focus on the power seeking heroism and conquests and military wits of the Three kingdoms period, but they shouldnt use the 'RoTK' as their basis. Instead they should have used 'the Record of the Three Kingdoms' which is a history record for stuff like that. Military mind and war might is NOT at all what 'RoTK' is about.

  • @jimmyjamesWang, RoTK is literarily the anti-thesis of Machiavellianism. The general political views of the Classical Chinese ruling class has been for large degree identical to Machiavellianism, which requires the perfect King to be void of human weaknesses. The founder of the Han Dynasty, Liu Bang is very very similar to Julius Caesar in personality and political view. They both use similar tactics and is ruthless when it comes to achieving their goals and eliminating adversary.

  • @jimmyjamesWang, But Liu Bei, who is the last hope of the Han Emperial Family is a total human, humble, honest, sympathetic, and emotional, and will sacrafice anything for his oath brothers, even it if it means to throw away the future of his dynasty. That was much much too modern compare to its time. This is much different from "Fengshen Yanyi (封神演義)" or the history of Xia and Shang dynasties which glorifies the ruling class, by imposing the Kindness on the successful.

  • @jimmyjamesWang, RoTK is Romanticism without distorting the realistic. It does not lie about the principles of conquest and ruling. It shows the truth that feellings, emotional attachment, human bonds DOES interfere with and hinder the sanity that is required of strategic and political decision making process. But at same time, it glorifies the human factor, it glorifies the human heart over the plolitical machinary. It created the ideal 'King' who chooses his humanity over power and success.

  • @jimmyjamesWang I just would like to chime in and say that I whole-heartedly agree with you and that what you just said was one of the few intelligent interpretations of the book series (which I assume you have read).

  • haha...look at Liu Bei...so different..

  • wtf is this japanese music for chinese history...??!?!

  • @DynastyWarriors4Ever yea...it's a shame. We don't have an animation for 三國 .

  • @DynastyWarriors4Ever, dude, wtf is wrong with you? Back then much of East Asia hasnt really develops the sense of nationality yet. Back than it was more like Agriculture Civilization aginast Nomatic Barbarians. Frankly, as much as me and you would hate to say, Wa and Chosen are still considered as at least half-civilized. So back than, they are still kinda on our side. Yamatai was to Wei kinda like what Nanman was to Shu.

  • 5:29 You DID destroy his shop though.

  • curse you yellow turbans DX

  • And they're meant to be the voice of the people.

  • lol some voice X.x

  • @themajormotokok Zhang Jiao's campaign was one of the hardest, but one of my favorites!

  • @Jtomo1987 The hardest campaigns were the yellow scarves Liu Xuande's campaign against Sun jian, Red Cliffs Dong Zhuos Ma chaos Conquest for the riverlands there are a couple more but the hardest one was Red Clliffs

  • @Jtomo1987 but you have to admit its was fun he is a interesting character to use

  • @themajormotokok What happened after Wei unified China and became Jin?

  • @themajormotokok I think so, but... You have to know, if it wasn't for the Han officers corrupting, things like this won't happen.

  • does anyone know where to download a dvd version of that anime with eng sub?

  • ANYONE KNOWS ANY OTHER MOVIES/ANIME or VIDEOS with Dynasty Warriors characters and story?

  • @ZhouThien Red Cliff

  • I think the Chinese-made ROTK series (not animated) is more realistic in the portrayal of the Yellow Turbans as desperate, hungry rebels instead of evil, cold-blooded murderers.

  • 신정환 닮았다 ㅋㅋ

  • the timing is a little off

  • i still love the book, can never get the real book, only online version =[

  • @SirDeLacy hey how do you read online version?

  • awesome too bad they cant be talking in english

  • Well it's not supposed to

  • 三国志....I read this again and again in childhood.

  • the picture is slow but the music is fastter

  • VENI VIDI VICI!!! PAX ROMANA!!!

  • I remember all these characters from Dynasty Warriors 5. Guan Yu was the first character I chose.

Hard to believe all these guys were real... I'm definately subscribing!

  • Not quite real, as they appear. Romance of the Three Kingdoms was written around the 14th Century and it is a historical novel. Think of it as the Illiad but more historically accurate. It has over 800,000 words and a thousand characters divided into 120 chaptes. Although it is not perfect, it is a close representation of the turbulent times at the end of the Han Dynasty. The Dynasty Warriors games are all based on this amazin novel, which is considered one of the four great works of Chinese lit

  • I've heard of the novel. I'll have to look for an English translation somewhere.

  • Yes it is. The first I played as was Zhao Yuun but my friends favorite was Guan Yu, all three brothers made the oath in the peach garden.

  • Pardon me, I was typing fast. Zhao Yun*.

Although Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, and Guan Yu weren't blood brother's they were close enough.

  • Brings back memories ...

  • Weird remark, nothing is real in history... :|

    Based upon what?

    K

  • I forgot what i wrote here xd

  • what do you mean?

  • Zhang Fei is cute, never expect to look so good when he's clean shaven. Liu Bei is charming too. Guan Yu (sigh) just as long-bearded as ever.

  • cool they should make a new version here in america and the reason the yellow turbans killed was because they had to for food and supplies and in the end they ended up being no more than bandits

  • Oh man, I wish I still had this game. I should buy it again.

  • @KoopdaVillain602 ya i played lots of different versions, whatever ones made it to NA, i loved em, i miss em

  • fuck can they skip the intro!!!i hate japs but love the cartoons =') and by the way cao cao really died of sickness at age 46

  • he didnt die that young... i remember he died a year or 2 before Liu Bei died.... and he and Liu Bei were around the same age.... Liu Bei died around 64

  • they're chinese but they're speaking japanese weird. lol

i still hate you Cao Cao! The yellow turban wanting to conquer to build chaos.

  • This is a production by purely by Japanese. It's amazing that foreigners are so well-versed in Chinese hisotry. This cartoon provides very nitty gritty detail of era of Romance of Three Kingdoms. I watched this in Chinese Version many years ago. Acknowledgement at the end of each episode reveals the Japanese names of the cartoonists, screen-writers, song-writers, musicians, etc.

  • haha, dragon ball ripoff at the start.

  • i think this was before dragon ball

  • do they use fury here same as the game

  • The fury and musou things are fictional while the story behind these episodes is more or less completely factual.

  • why did the yellow turbens kill all those people

  • i don know but i heard from someone tat is because the yellow turbens has too many ppl so they need to kill to get enough money n food

  • go on wikipedia and type in yellow turban rebellion it's mostly about peasant revolts and the problems within the current power the han dynasty

  • sound is kinda off, but still good

  • how come Zhang Fei has the face of the monkey Son Go Ku in the Movie "the journey to the West" lol

  • watch it in arabic version its much better than this version>>>)صقور الأرض)

  • true but they wont understand it ... i love it in Arabic its so funny and exciting

  • there's an anime on romance of the three kingdom????When did this come out???

  • dated back in the late 90s.

  • Oh..lol, that's a long time ago.

  • Is this based off the manga that was the basis for "Destiny of an Emperor" for the NES? The characters look kind of similar.

  • It is based off the classic Chinese novel "Romance of the three kingdoms" written by Luo Guanzhong.

  • 天啊,这个动画把三国的历史改动了好多.几乎认不出来了.

  • what does that mean man??

  • he said that this anime has changed the three kingdoms history so much that is it almost unrecognisable

  • oh cool i prefer the real tv version of the three kingdoms, but i couldnt find the rest of on here. There was nothing on here after the 6th episode or something. So ive had to resort to watching a cartoon of it.

  • No version will be the same, no matter how similar =P.

It's still kind of cool to watch.

  • ehi guys much time ago i found a website where i could download all the episodes of this ROTK....but at the moment i don't remeber it....did someone know it?

  • it'd be funny if the books, games, and shows had Luo Guanzhong in the background of random scenes, or he could be kicking some soldier butts while writing down what's happening lol

  • sound is all messed up but still thank you

  • Thanks for the upload I just finished Sainkuko Monogatraia 1 and 2 and WITH HUNTER ROBIN, ERGO PROXY very good animes, if you know about any othe good anime like this one please let me know but about schoolers. Thanks

  • Who is Zhuge Liang's ficticious sister? And who is Kouran?

  • yes man u rockkk u put it on english sub

  • timing is rather slow. But the video is enjoyable none-the-less.

  • hey guys, when i was young i used to watch an old cartoon similar to this one, in fact almost the same but there is a fat guy and i think it was a movie cartoon, not a series. there's alot of killings in it and no superpowers. and i remember the main character falling in love with some chick. is there another anime cartoon like this one or am i fuckd up..

  • Lol it could be Dragon Ball Z or somthing like that D: I used to watch that too XD

  • you may have been thinking of a movie called "Great Conquest"...it was only on vhs and it was narrated by pat morita...they only made 1 part of the movie tho....it ended with zhuge liang leaving some family behind to find his place(he was an early teen in tha movie)...ring any bells?

  • Is it just me or is it true that this is actually japanese?

  • Nope. Chinese.

  • Its Japanese, noob.

  • No, dumbass, it's Chinese. It is a CHINESE novel written by Luo Guanzhong, a CHINESE writer near CHINA'S end of the 3 kindoms era.

  • the anime is in japanese. It is an obvious fact it is a one of the four great classics of chinese literature, and it is also obvious this anime is in japanese.
