I used to be a size 14, 2 years ago I switched my lifestyle to organic and living "green" and I am now a size 1-2! I don't exercise all that much, because of a disability, but I eat right and don't let any crap into my body! I went to visit my mom for a few months and she eats crap and I can totally tell the difference! It's scary how foods really make all the difference. I think the excuse of "cost more" is crap! Grow your own! It costs pennies! Anyone can do it, even in cold weather, apts, etc!
ok gotta say some guys just never grow up...get over it, like you never seen a set of boobs! but about the vid.i know they are spray'n crap on our fruits and vegs.but is it really make'n us fat? i cant believe that if you eat fruit and veg (non organic) your not gonna lose weight?? i lost 50 pounds by well number one danceing my ass off lol but i was eat'n baby carrots, ranch, and ham sandwiches on white bread with mustard! oh and those package noodles! yeah i lost weight! 50 pounds! moderation!
I can't take anything as truth especially about health from someone that wasn't happy enough with their own chest and had to get it cut open to make the boobs more whorey.
Sorry. It's true. If you're not happy with a perfectly good set, something wrong there...
Organic and Natural foods can only help your body. Studies have concluded that eating real-nutritious-foods and not processed or "Fractionated Foods" fosters a healthy body for instance. Woman in Japan have less than 1% chance of getting breast cancer while women in the U.S. chances are in the 40%'s... Thanks for these videos! It is a shame that they do not teach "nutrition" in medical schools in the U.S. :/...The disgruntled reality...
ok what i dont get is.. even if you're eating thinsations or whatever, yes theres more than likely going to be different chemicals; however, it says nowhere on the box "eat it every day" its just a less calorie alternative to other foods, not a meal replacement. If vegetables can lower the chemicals, as long as you eat vegetables and take thinsations in moderation, which you should be doing with anything, it should be fine. Why is moderation bad?
You have to cook everything from fresh. I am in the UK & now only buy Organic (online from UK farmers, yes some has to be brought in the country as the weather here sucks but mainly from ones that are very close to us.) It does not cost any more in real terms, just have to be a bit creative with your cooking as most of it is also seasonal, so more stews and soups - perfect for winter now. We are in general eating less & have less household waste at the end of the week. I can only recommend it!
the first thing that really struck me was when the interviewee said "when you eat non- organic foods or processed foods" at 55 seconds, does she include conventional agricultural methods as processed? has some intuitive tautologies like eating stuff that our bodies are used to ie, we evolved eating veggies without pesticides but, without pesticides, genetic modification, or other enhancers, the planet would not have enough food to feed itself. sounds like propaganda to me.
It is always good to check things out ! learn what the different ´´ingredients´´ mean and what effect it has on your body. But honestly ,..... these kinda things are really the least of our problems! For what is truelly going on in the world is almost beyond comprehension. Just go find the TRUTH with a sincere heart and undoubtly you will uncover the LIE all arround us.
If you are what you eat, did this woman eat a fucking moron? On a serious note though, inactivity is the reason why there are so many fat people in the US. A sedentary lifestyle does not lend itself well to using energy, and if that energy isn't burned through exercise, then it is stored as fat. I would also like to see sources on the cited scientific studies.
Food is certainly just a piece of this puzzle.... Gee... 50 years ago noone had a keyboard either... and typing burnt a lot more calories on an old fashioned type writer....
I do agree with these statements though... I'm a diabetic and I know it was Corn Syrup that helped me into this... you know what... I think Corn Syrup came from outer space
i went on a completely organic diet for a month just to see if it was true to lose weight....and i lost 15 pounds during that month eating whatever i wanted as long as it was organic
Excellent summary! These videos are very informative and helpful. Thank you for encouraging us all to eat oranic, lose weight, get active and be in loving relationships. All the Best to you!
What she's saying here is undeniable. It's an obvious Reality check. Americans have gotten fatter and fatter as more and more processed "low fat" and "diet" foods have hit the market. Not just diet foods but more and more processed foods in general are doing it to us. Read the labels on the foods at your supermarket. Full of complete junk. We need to stop eating garbarge and go back to whole foods. I have.
I remember my science teacher talking about how High Fructose Corn Syrup is recognized as sugar in the body, so is this true? He had bad things to say about the other chemicals, so I'm guessing that whole list isn't entirely bad...
Sarah, I do not understand you. I just saw the "photoshop" video and you were sending a different message. How do we fix the problem if you contradict yourself so much? (not saying that watching your videos will fix my problems) just saying
I personally do not care about losing weight, I just want to be healthy. But these added materials are EXTREMELY dangerous and controversial. So even if you don't care about weight loss, AVOID THEM.
we quit high fructose corn syrup, life is so much better. we cook from scratch now. blood pressure is normal again, veins are easy to draw blood from again, energy is more normal no swings. hfcs is evil.
I completely agree with you. myself and many of my friends have been going through many stomach problems. One of my friends, who is a Veterinarian, doctors removed her gallbladder because she has chronic inflammation? I believe that it is the processed foods that is causing the inflammation and conventional Dr's do not know what to do but remove body parts? what is going on?
! Have you thought about intellectus diet (do a google search for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my sister lost tons of weight with it.
Eating close to the Earth...the act of eating unprocessed foods in their natuarl states is best. Our grandparents did it and lived good healthy lives. They also didn't have a soft drink in their hands everytime they stepped out the door, or stopped to get gas. Poeple are so obessed with eating today, they can't even shop or watch a movie without putting something in their mouths. It's digusting!
I didn't know about this, but 4 years ago I watched a documentary by Garry Null. I changed my diet overnight from processed to ONLY ORGANIC AND FRESH. For my amusement I began losing 1 KG per week without any diet (actually eating awful a lot of fresh vegetables) and chicken. I reached my proper bodyweight within 1.5-2 months. Proper food is a key for good health, no medication, NO VACCINES!!!
"The leftovers that your body can't digest end up stored inside your body", THAT IS FACTUALLY UNTRUE. Your body stores excess calories as fat, and while these fat cells can be tainted by various ailments, your body will never just store chemicals. If "your body can't digest something", what that means is that your body doesn't know what to do with it and it just passes straight through. It may cause intestinal issues, but it won't ever leave the digestive system except to exit your body.
@wanderingivie That is total falsehood. there are many things chemicals that are stored in your body in fat tissue. THC is one such chemical. Sounds like you might have been smoking some of that when you wrote this post. Your body ndoesn't store calories. A calorie or kCal is a unit of measure stating how much energy is required to burn 1 gm of that substance.
"Your body doesn't store calories." Wow. There is no reasoning with you. That's what fat is, dumbass. Specifically, one pound of human fat contains about 3500 calories. Also, I JUST SAID that stored "fat cells can be tainted". That was the point of the article. Way to read.
And no, I've never smoked marijuana. Nice logical fallacies. Take a nutrition class, please.
@wanderingivie You don't understand what a calorie is. A calorie is a unit of measure like pounbs (lb) or inches (in). You don't consume pounds, you consume food which causes you to gain weight measured in lbs or kgs. You don't store calories...you store fat. The CALORIC VALUE of a food or substance (candy is not a food) is the unit value assigned by nutrionist, scientists (FDA), etc.
"There are many ingredients in these little 100calorie packs that your body can't use for energy," THAT'S THE POINT. Calories ARE energy, they are the basic fuel that makes your body go. The problem is that the average American is consuming WAY too many, which your body then has to store, and if too many accumulate (obesity) then they are harmful.
This really didn't sound scientifically accurate. "Your body has to spend more energy to process the foods and chemicals." That's true, but ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOUR BODY SPEND MORE ENERGY MEANS YOU GAIN LESS WEIGHT. "These 100calorie packs... let people think that they're more nutritious". No they don't. Calories ARE nutrients, anything that has lower calories has lower nutrition, which is a good thing for the vast majority who overconsume calories.
@wanderingivie Everything in your posts are incorrect. Your body has to spend more energy to burn up the food but since you aren't doing anything to burn it up...the food gets converted to fat, NOT LOST. The fact that there are 100 calories per pack doesn't make people think they are more nutrious...at least intelligent people. All they do is tell people that if you eat just his ONE bag (not the whole box) you will only be consuming 100 calories worth of food.
Me: "...anything that has lower calories has lower nutrition, which is a good thing for... [those] who overconsume calories."
You: "The fact that there are 100 calories per pack doesn't make [intelligent] people think they are more nutritious. All they do is tell people that ... you will only be consuming 100 calories."
We're saying the same thing, why are you arguing with me?
@wanderingivie Most people don't even have a clue how much work you have to do to burn 100 calories. RUNNING 1 mile will burn approximately 100 calories depending on how fast or slow you run it. Walking the same distance only burns half as much (50 kCal) because you are not working as hard.
@wanderingivie The average male should only comsume 1500 to 1700 kCal per day (that is provided he is not working out) and the average female should only have 1300 to 1500 kCal per day. That's only 500kCal per meal or the equivalence to 2 doughnuts. Most people comsume more than a whole days worth of food in just one meal. that is what makes them so fat. Soft drinks are the worst. Half a meals worth of EMPTY CALOIRES (= no nutrional value) in just one 20oz bottle of pop.
Where are you getting these facts from? We calculated the kCal daily needs for our entire class, and they ranged from 1100 to over 2000. Granted, this was for college students, but the fact remains that there are many people (mostly men, but not exclusively) whose health would suffer from only getting 1700 kCal a day. (Also, I kept a log of all food, drinks, AND their caloric content for two weeks. I KNOW how many calories a soft drink has. 120-180 per can, btw. Thanks though.)
So true! After readin an expose last wk on GMO's, I switched to a completely organic diet. I didn't change anything else. I'm eating as I always have & do the same exercise routine I've been doing for years & the weight has started dropping off! I've struggled to get down to my goal weight for yrs and was close, but could never bridge that 5 - 10 lb gap. I was looking on the web to see if anyone else had discovered that eating all organic makes you lose wt. Bravo 4 getting the word out!
I just don't understand why people don't use common sense, and simple logic, to realize that a 100 calorie pack of "non-fat" cookies is first of all BS, and second that they will not lose weight by eating cookies. This level of instant gratification through shortcuts, laziness, and delusional thinking is quite alarming.
You cannot soley blame weight gain on one thing alone, but I do agree that eating organic is definetly better for you, and it is also better for the environment because you are promoting the farms that produce these organic foods, and they, in turn are helping animals and insects such as bees(my family owns and maintains 3 beehives ourselves) who help to pollinate your plants, and produce honey.
Lots of interesting posts. Research shows that organic fruits and veggies are best but I eat commercial produce as well. I do want to avoid the GMO's.Most food toxins you will find in our packaged foods. The chemicals that are listed on the ingredients labels on the products are taxing on our bodies and it is best to avoid them. With packaged foods, I avoid high fructose corn syrup and buy items with only a few ingredients listed, ones I know what they are like beans, water and salt.
All these chemicals they sneak into foods seem designed to harm us. It seems like in the past few years there have been more and more commercials for prescription medications. You can think I'm crazy and conspiratorial ,but what's to say there's not groups of people somewhere purposely corrupting our food to directly benefit the pharmaceutical companies financially? But if you say this it's almost become cliche, like it's a big joke. Almost as if this how to better cover this connection. Silly.
@jkurse555 I'm a pharmacist and I can tell you with certainty that most of the health issues we have today are due to lack of a good healthy diet (85%) and regualr exercise (15%). Our pets are having the same health issues (depression, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc) and their problems are caused by the food we feed them too. Cats and dogs are carnivores not herbivores. Yet the food we feed them is plant matter.
@jkurse555 I don't think it's a conspiracy as much as just plan greed. I see it in the pharmaceutical industry, politics etc. Just follow the money trail. I can see why so many people throughout the world hate capitalism. Capitalism isn't the problem though its the GREED of people both consumer as well as the businessman.
If your great-grandma wouldn't recognize what you're eating as food, your body most likely won't either. I think moderation and eating foods as close to the natural state is the best. As Mark Bittman says, you can't go wrong eating foods that only have 1 ingredient (ie: apples, oranges, legumes....)
Organic food might have MORE bad stuff in them because farmer could push the limits and use stuff that's bad, but we don't know it and when we eat it we turn into zombies ( just trying to mix things up)
@Simsgonewild333 That's just plain silly ! EVERYONE knows you have to be BITTEN by a zombie to become one....or is that a Werewolf??? Sorry, I may have my vertebrates mixed up.
Organic foods better than synthetic processed foods? I recently learned that monsantos is taking small farmers to courst and suing them. The small farmers end up losing their right to farm which knocks out the competition with Corporate farming. Monsantos is attempting to force small farmers (that produce healthier foods) to plants their hybrid diseased seeds. They've even attacked the pure soy bean getting it pulled off the famer's market shelves. Leaving them with only Monsantos seeds..
You can get just as fat from organic food as any other. Or do 100 calories from organically produced bread count less than 100 calories in conventional bread?
Mixing this up with the dangers of fertilizers etc. is just ludicrous.
... and that is produce which it's seeds haven't been genetically modified for growth and nutritional efficiency, no synthetic fertilizers, no pesticides. because of these rules commercial organic farms have to sell their product at a higher price because of the risk of produce loss because of the fact that they grow everything in huge numbers in order to feed an entire nation. small farms which provide produce to the local area sell at a lesser price.
high fructose corn syrup isn't a synthetic chemical lol and your body processes it just like regular processed cain sugar (regardless if the sugar cain was gown organically). I'm not saying organic is bad, on the contrary. but people get confused. one thing is the nutritional facts about a food product and the other thing is the quality and method of production of that product."organic" really is only what americans call what other countries and small farmers already are growing...
@shechshire Fructose and and sucrose are digested differently in the body. Fructose is processed through the liver, and a diet high in high fructose corn syrup can tax the liver. Livers of lab rats that consume high quantities of HFCS look cirrhotic. Basically if you eat such a diet your liver be similar to that of an alcoholic. The corn used for HFCS can't even be eaten by humans until it's processed into the syrup. I hope this info helps you to make healthy choices :)
Well my opinion on all this is I really like to learn how better to treat our bodies. For so long we are to diet foods are best, although not only these preservatives and chemicals damage your weight issues they have a big affect on our health as well. I have fibromyalgia and since vie took some of these products that contain aspartame , processed foods and other chemicals I feel alot better, not even using pain killers anymore,so I think I will try the organic way, thanks for great info!!
You guys are idiots. Werent you listening. Toxins slow down metabolism therefore slowing down calorie burn. This in accumulation will make you fat. You want to make your metabolism work at a faster pace.
"blaming the obesity epidemic on inactivity and poor diet has yet to solve any problems"? have you ever seen 'the biggest loser'? it looks like proper diet and excersize help those people. i didn't even know it was possible to lose that much weight in such a short time. the reason people are still so fucking fat is laziness and refusal to change. organic food is not going to make you skinnier and ANY diet measured against the standard american diet is going to look good b/c the s.a.d. is so bad
@TheHuntress144 you said it yourself " Eating right and exercise help those people" Eating organic is the healthiest way to eat and with a combination of regular exercise will contribute largely to how your body functions and loses weight if u want to do that. But hey if u don't believe her or me test it out yourself, that usually works best =) GL
Your body cannot process these chemicals and can stored in the fat, leeching as your body constantly pulls and stores energy from your fat. If there is no abstaining from foods that contain these chemicals, your physical state will constantly be under duress of inorganic compounds that reformulate in your body through digestion, causing a lot of health issues like cancer, diabetes, etc. Aspartame, for example, turns into methyl alcohol, a poison. Be serious ppl, this is real.
The issue they're trying to address here is not caloric value of food, more the chemical content of foodstuffs that are marketed as 'healthy' or are downright bad but loaded with synthetic nutrients and minerals.
Take aspartame for example, it tastes sweet yet has no caloric value. Your pancreas responds to the sweetness by pumping more insulin and since there is no real energy there to be digested and used by the body, what energy is there that isn't immediately used is stored as fat.
Shop the perimeter of the store and you will be fine. Do not buy into the aisle foods they are there for sheer profit only, and made buy companies that do not care about your health or You at all. :(
processed food is bad for you PERIOD, aspertame and high fructose corn syrup cause MAJOR health problems eating things with less than 4 or less natural ingredients is the only way to go
@jackvincent90 ASPARTAME is made of up of 10% methanol (wood alcohol, AKA poison) which the body CANNOT metabolize which then causes it to turn into FORMALDEHYDE, which the body CANNOT rid itself of.... this probably has as much to do with obesity as any other culprit n our society like MSG and OTHER toxins the food industry hides in our food to sell us more of it. They know how to make people fat and then they make BILLIONS selling us diet aids.... they make money on both ends.
There`s a flaw here in what they are saying, If your body is using energy to get energy a from a false or somewhat difficult source, Then if you got the balance right by eating the right mix of processed foods then perhaps you would lose weight?
How does having your body use more energy to digest food lead to weight gain? Your body get it's energy from burning calories, if it takes more energy to do something that will lead more calories burned and possible weight loss. This is why eating raw vegetables is good for dieting, they contain few calories and your body needs to work harder to extract those calories
its just like with everything in life. you can eat fattie foods but in resonable amounts. as long as you move your ass out of the couch and to the basketball court you should be fine. why should you eat nothing but healthy when non-healthy food is much better? just work out and know your limits with food. its that simple.
First answer: NO. The second statement is utter rubbish. Food you can't use is excreted. Try eating glass and see what comes out the other end. Anything calorific and organic (made of carbon) will be processed. There are no toxins unless you ea something inorganic, such as mercury or arsenic.
wouldnt your body just poop out the crap it cant use? and high fructose corn syrup is basically the same as normal sugar (it just has 5 more calories) so it's a bad example...
it seems like only fat people eat this crap, and they are getting fatter.... All that fat free /sugar free diet crap is filled with replacemet CHEMICALS that clog our bodies with crap.... so once its in there... how do you get rid of it???
Vegan, it's the only way to fly. break out your pocketbook tho, the shit's uber expensive. It's worth it. Give it a shot. The more people buy organic the more they make and the cheaper it gets. Do it now. If you want to read up on why first I recommend a book called Skinny Bitch and Skinny Bastard (pick the right one for your gender please). you can also check out goveg.com - ignore the PETA crap, screw the animals, do it for you. Train yourself to think that Fat Free=Chemical Shitstorm.
Search SENOMYX. This biotech company genetically engineers "additives" to make the toxic chemicals taste good and also make them addictive! They have essentially reverse engineered the taste recepters in the mouth. Welcome to the Matrix!
Why are you so political bout foods in usa? you shoud just stop eating fast food and stop watchin those stupid aerobics video, only one way to stay fit, real exercises and vegetables and diary and chicken.
“Here is an article on how poor the quality standards are for Whole Foods Markets. They claim to be on top of the ingredients found in their products, but here is an example of how they continue to sell a product that is harmfull to the environment and not organic at all.”
Yes I think we're all getting this. What most are still missing though imho is the vitamin angle, the fact that even the organic food we get today has a much lower content of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients than even 25 years ago. I eat organic and I supplement and ... I lost 130lbs of weight over two years by just not eating the crap. Avoid what you can, avoid soy, canola, salflower, high fructose corn syrup (now aka "corn sugar") and above all avoid aspartame(!)
I really hope for the sake of humanity (or the United States in which I live in) we abandon all these processed foods. What this video says is a very good hypothesis. In my opinion, I find this to be the truth and will take this to heart, Thank you.
I agree almost 00% with what was said in this video. . I'm just not completely sold on organic produce yet. Organic...or at least hormone and antibiotic free meat and dairy, and wild (not farm raised) seafood I do think is 100% better and more healthy for our bodies. Organic produce still sort of seems like a marketing scam to me though.
Fucking america is right on the verge of going tits up and these hairlipped knucklefuckers are worried about eating healthy? Get the fuck out. Prioritize, you shit weasels.
@Necroticpus Fucking America is on the verge of going tits up because the hairlipped knucklefuckers are being fed crap that is engineered to make them sick and stupid. If more start to eat right maybe they'll get their brains back and start standing up for themselves. If there is only one important thing for you to do every day then it is to eat right and safeguard your health and abilities.
You dont need to do exercise to lose weight TRUST ME I started eating less and eating healthy and in2 months i lost 10kg. You don't even need to do exercise, just change what you eat and TRUST ME you will lose shit load of weight.
i bit into a cucumber the other day (after washing )and tasted some kind of disgusting/chemical/pesticide like flavor. watch out. i'm going to eat are dandelions and chicory next spring. start catching fish naturally in a spring fed lake.go berry picking in summer...larger fruit (apple/peach) picking in early fall with of course the falling of nuts in latefall. That's how indians survived for thousands of years and left no foot print. fuck this country and there profit above all mindset.
The chemicals in the processed foods goes into the fat and then when you try to drop pounds your body burns off the fats that contain the chemicals, thus putting them back into your system. This causes your body to crave them again. The more junk you eat leads to more that you will want later. Eating raw whole foods helps by not putting the chemicals into your body in the first place. This is basic nutrition that most college students learn. If you can afford organic, go to farmers markets.
I'd like to know what studies you are referring to, because I've done very extensive research from peer reviewed journals and academic medical publications that state very clearly that what you're claiming is false. Example, Many people jump at things like MSG, when did you know that MSG is naturally found in tomatoes, soy products and seaweed? A lot of these "studies" are not done or supported by medical doctors, so please check all your facts before blaming obesity on anyone but yourselves.
The saying is true you are what you eat and if you are eatin crap then guess what!!!!! Read and know what you are eating it is very simple don"t let everyone else force crap on you! You have control of your choices!
If you want to lose weight you want your body to use energy inefficiently, if our body used glycolysis we would need to eat 5x the calories, because it makes far less atp's than aerobic respiration. You say studies, why dont you source some of them from medical publications, such as pubmed, I can say studies say it is found in 90% of men studied that lying makes his penis smaller, but im not right. I dont think you are making this video to help people but to advertise organic foods.
@yenyoo I agree. This video seems to be an add and not really helping people. People need to think about what they put in their bodies, not just buy organic all the time.
Wow, great points, but don't forget about meat. If you eat meat, you're eating the chemical-laden junk that the animal ate. I say eat organic as much as possible, but also eat a total plant based diet. Be a vegetarian. 8-)
does she know about that thing that happened a long time ago when locusts nearly killed us because we didnt have pesticides to keep them away (the 30s i think). Pesticides used to be really dangerous, but the stuff they use now isnt as bad
There was a baby crying in the background of the interview with the dirty blonde haired woman. That really bugged me! Stop the interview and do what's best for your baby, lady! As for the issue at hand: Great vid! All the extra chemicals in our food cause our body to be ill and disease-ridden. Let's focus on being healthy, not being thin. So, instead of buying the 100 calorie pack crap, buy some fruit to eat. You will have more energy AND be thinner!
I agree those foods are bad, but going organic isn't always the right way. Organic has chemicals on it too. So my suggestion, as a lover of nutrition, is to wash the veggies and fruits for a good minute to get them off even organic. If you really want to lose weight eat natural foos carbs and exercise or at least walk more and take the long way. I have French diet and it helps me maintain weight beautifully. so Bon appetite (p.s. I love food :))
@rgray3319753 We talking about digestive energy not burning calories... when the body is too busy digesting bad foods and trying to detox itself of toxins it leaves behind other functions that are needed for general health and natural weight loss. The more it takes to digest foods the faster you will feel hungry again and the hunger will feel more intense... its all about hormones, do your research... go to mercola.com ..... diet.com ain't shit.
:/ Inactivity has a lot to do with it but that 'using more energy' argument makes no sense what-so-ever that would make you lose weight -.- the problem is the body cant process those chemicals and such. The simple fact is NATURAL foods break down easier in the body with enzymes that are made to break the stuff down if you add in oily, greasy, fatty, etc, your body cant break them down readily so they get stored. Im guessing it doesnt alter the makeup of the current fat as much as gets stored dif
now don't get me wrong. i'm not saying that consuming the chemicals is good for you in anyway and will definately kill you. I'm just saying you can't blame obesity on pesticides. that's just stupid.
wow...i turned the video off as soon as they said that overeating and lack of exercise don't cause obesity. those are the only things that do cause obesity. and they say PESTICIDES cause obesity????? this video's a fuckin joke. EAT LESS AND EXERCISE. it's really really simple to lose weight.
Breakdown: Look at the ingredients of ANY food product, ANY. If you can't
eat or consume any of the ingredients singly, that entire product IS TRASH!
AMERICA'S GOAL IS SELF-TERMINATION, THERE'S NO MONEY IN LONG-LIFE EXISTENCE. AMERICA'S FRONT, IS CARING. AMERICA IS ALL ABOUT TREATING THE SYMPTOM, NOT CURING IT, HENCE THE FDA, THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY AND OTHERS. CANCER, AIDS, HEPATITIS, AND MANY OTHERS ARE CURABLE, NOT JUST TREATABLE, BUT CURABLE!!
@zev007 more energy spent prepossessing food chemicals that can not be possessed into energy that can be used and slows down the body activity (cause your tired) making the body store the chemicals after it processes them = FAT production if your half as smart as the average high school student you could put 1+1 together to get the answer that you say is 900% bs is 900% right
All foods are made of chemicals, including so called organic foods. Actually all solid matter is made of chemicals.
Lots of foods that people regularly consume are loaded with natural toxins that our body reacts negatively to. For example, most people are allergic to grains. They get sick when they eat them but they don't know why. Unfortunately the grain producing industry has "convinced" FDA (via strategic campaign donations) to push more grains on us.
@zev007 LOL! Think of it like a car, running on gasoline, except the gasoline is extremely thick and much harder for the engine to combust. Does the car run faster? Derp.
Actually, these people are trying to educate the general public on healthier habits - Many folks don't really want to hear it. As the saying goes...you can lead a horse to water.....you know the rest
@auggiedoggy USDA, all food products must meet the same standards for consumption. Non-organic and organ produce is produced by the same processes by the same farmers. This is some new age yuppie bullshit.
@colonforsecs : In Canada you have to be certified and you have to adhere to strict standards that a regular farmer would not. I can't see the USA being that different. Nothing is 100% toxin free these days but certified organic farms are the safest bet. At least here in Canada they are.
I used to be a size 14, 2 years ago I switched my lifestyle to organic and living "green" and I am now a size 1-2!

I eat supermarket vegetables, beans, potatoes and grains but eliminates all fat/oils and meats from my diet resulted in losing weight.
This is only my case but fat was the one preventing me from losing excess weight.
Also I don’t have to worry about my cholesterol level whatsoever is the extra benefit.

I have.

Proper food is a key for good health, no medication, NO VACCINES!!!
PeaceAndGloryMB 6 months ago 2
"The leftovers that your body can't digest end up stored inside your body", THAT IS FACTUALLY UNTRUE. Your body stores excess calories as fat, and while these fat cells can be tainted by various ailments, your body will never just store chemicals. If "your body can't digest something", what that means is that your body doesn't know what to do with it and it just passes straight through. It may cause intestinal issues, but it won't ever leave the digestive system except to exit your body.
wanderingivie 7 months ago
@wanderingivie That is total falsehood. there are many things chemicals that are stored in your body in fat tissue. THC is one such chemical. Sounds like you might have been smoking some of that when you wrote this post. Your body ndoesn't store calories. A calorie or kCal is a unit of measure stating how much energy is required to burn 1 gm of that substance.
giantslayer57 6 months ago
@giantslayer57
Take a nutrition class, please.
wanderingivie 6 months ago
@wanderingivie You don't understand what a calorie is. A calorie is a unit of measure like pounbs (lb) or inches (in). You don't consume pounds, you consume food which causes you to gain weight measured in lbs or kgs. You don't store calories...you store fat. The CALORIC VALUE of a food or substance (candy is not a food) is the unit value assigned by nutrionist, scientists (FDA), etc.
giantslayer57 6 months ago
"There are many ingredients in these little 100calorie packs that your body can't use for energy," THAT'S THE POINT. Calories ARE energy, they are the basic fuel that makes your body go. The problem is that the average American is consuming WAY too many, which your body then has to store, and if too many accumulate (obesity) then they are harmful.
wanderingivie 7 months ago
This really didn't sound scientifically accurate. "Your body has to spend more energy to process the foods and chemicals." That's true, but ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOUR BODY SPEND MORE ENERGY MEANS YOU GAIN LESS WEIGHT. "These 100calorie packs... let people think that they're more nutritious". No they don't. Calories ARE nutrients, anything that has lower calories has lower nutrition, which is a good thing for the vast majority who overconsume calories.
wanderingivie 7 months ago
@wanderingivie Everything in your posts are incorrect. Your body has to spend more energy to burn up the food but since you aren't doing anything to burn it up...the food gets converted to fat, NOT LOST. The fact that there are 100 calories per pack doesn't make people think they are more nutrious...at least intelligent people. All they do is tell people that if you eat just his ONE bag (not the whole box) you will only be consuming 100 calories worth of food.
giantslayer57 6 months ago
@giantslayer57
We're saying the same thing, why are you arguing with me?
wanderingivie 6 months ago
@wanderingivie Most people don't even have a clue how much work you have to do to burn 100 calories. RUNNING 1 mile will burn approximately 100 calories depending on how fast or slow you run it. Walking the same distance only burns half as much (50 kCal) because you are not working as hard.
giantslayer57 6 months ago
@wanderingivie The average male should only comsume 1500 to 1700 kCal per day (that is provided he is not working out) and the average female should only have 1300 to 1500 kCal per day. That's only 500kCal per meal or the equivalence to 2 doughnuts. Most people comsume more than a whole days worth of food in just one meal. that is what makes them so fat. Soft drinks are the worst. Half a meals worth of EMPTY CALOIRES (= no nutrional value) in just one 20oz bottle of pop.
giantslayer57 6 months ago
@giantslayer57

With packaged foods, I avoid high fructose corn syrup and buy items with only a few ingredients listed, ones I know what they are like beans, water and salt.
myhealthytribe 7 months ago
All these chemicals they sneak into foods seem designed to harm us. It seems like in the past few years there have been more and more commercials for prescription medications. You can think I'm crazy and conspiratorial ,but what's to say there's not groups of people somewhere purposely corrupting our food to directly benefit the pharmaceutical companies financially? But if you say this it's almost become cliche, like it's a big joke. Almost as if this how to better cover this connection. Silly.
jkurse555 7 months ago
@jkurse555 I'm a pharmacist and I can tell you with certainty that most of the health issues we have today are due to lack of a good healthy diet (85%) and regualr exercise (15%). Our pets are having the same health issues (depression, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc) and their problems are caused by the food we feed them too. Cats and dogs are carnivores not herbivores. Yet the food we feed them is plant matter.
giantslayer57 6 months ago
@jkurse555 I don't think it's a conspiracy as much as just plan greed. I see it in the pharmaceutical industry, politics etc. Just follow the money trail. I can see why so many people throughout the world hate capitalism. Capitalism isn't the problem though its the GREED of people both consumer as well as the businessman.
giantslayer57 6 months ago
If your great-grandma wouldn't recognize what you're eating as food, your body most likely won't either. I think moderation and eating foods as close to the natural state is the best. As Mark Bittman says, you can't go wrong eating foods that only have 1 ingredient (ie: apples, oranges, legumes....)

Evilcyber 8 months ago
eating organic food does make you feel fresh and more alert than gobbling cheese down your throat
ifingmutate 9 months ago
... and that is produce which it's seeds haven't been genetically modified for growth and nutritional efficiency, no synthetic fertilizers, no pesticides. because of these rules commercial organic farms have to sell their product at a higher price because of the risk of produce loss because of the fact that they grow everything in huge numbers in order to feed an entire nation. small farms which provide produce to the local area sell at a lesser price.
shechshire 9 months ago
high fructose corn syrup isn't a synthetic chemical lol and your body processes it just like regular processed cain sugar (regardless if the sugar cain was gown organically). I'm not saying organic is bad, on the contrary. but people get confused. one thing is the nutritional facts about a food product and the other thing is the quality and method of production of that product."organic" really is only what americans call what other countries and small farmers already are growing...
shechshire 9 months ago
@shechshire Fructose and and sucrose are digested differently in the body. Fructose is processed through the liver, and a diet high in high fructose corn syrup can tax the liver. Livers of lab rats that consume high quantities of HFCS look cirrhotic. Basically if you eat such a diet your liver be similar to that of an alcoholic. The corn used for HFCS can't even be eaten by humans until it's processed into the syrup. I hope this info helps you to make healthy choices :)
Oecologeae 7 months ago
@Oecologeae right, they have thier diferences as far as how the body absorbs but, regardless it's not "synthetic"

"blaming the obesity epidemic on inactivity and poor diet has yet to solve any problems"? have you ever seen 'the biggest loser'? it looks like proper diet and excersize help those people. i didn't even know it was possible to lose that much weight in such a short time. the reason people are still so fucking fat is laziness and refusal to change. organic food is not going to make you skinnier and ANY diet measured against the standard american diet is going to look good b/c the s.a.d. is so bad
TheHuntress144 10 months ago
@TheHuntress144 you said it yourself " Eating right and exercise help those people" Eating organic is the healthiest way to eat and with a combination of regular exercise will contribute largely to how your body functions and loses weight if u want to do that. Drumerpunk1 9 months ago
MrMasima123 10 months ago
The issue they're trying to address here is not caloric value of food, more the chemical content of foodstuffs that are marketed as 'healthy' or are downright bad but loaded with synthetic nutrients and minerals.
Take aspartame for example, it tastes sweet yet has no caloric value. Your pancreas responds to the sweetness by pumping more insulin and since there is no real energy there to be digested and used by the body, what energy is there that isn't immediately used is stored as fat.

jackvincent90 6 months ago
@jackvincent90 ASPARTAME is made of up of 10% methanol (wood alcohol, AKA poison) which the body CANNOT metabolize which then causes it to turn into FORMALDEHYDE, which the body CANNOT rid itself of.... this probably has as much to do with obesity as any other culprit n our society like MSG and OTHER toxins the food industry hides in our food to sell us more of it. They know how to make people fat and then they make BILLIONS selling us diet aids.... they make money on both ends.
ThePowerWithinMe 4 months ago
There`s a flaw here in what they are saying, If your body is using energy to get energy a from a false or somewhat difficult source, Then if you got the balance right by eating the right mix of processed foods then perhaps you would lose weight?
xmoroseguyx 11 months ago
How does having your body use more energy to digest food lead to weight gain? Your body get it's energy from burning calories, if it takes more energy to do something that will lead more calories burned and possible weight loss. This is why eating raw vegetables is good for dieting, they contain few calories and your body needs to work harder to extract those calories

i bit into a cucumber the other day (after washing )and tasted some kind of disgusting/chemical/pesticide like flavor. watch out. i'm going to eat are dandelions and chicory next spring. start catching fish naturally in a spring fed lake.go berry picking in summer...larger fruit (apple/peach) picking in early fall with of course the falling of nuts in latefall. That's how indians survived for thousands of years and left no foot print. fuck this country and there profit above all mindset.

There's a huge fucking difference between "Eating right" and "Eating organic".
The opposite to organic food is NOT processed food. Don't worry about eating unorganic vegetables/fruit. It's not going to hurt you, I promise.
Saying that you have to keep a holistic/organic diet to get maximum results is jibberish.
Just the fact that you compare chips and organic fruit shows that you don't know what you're talking about. It's like comparing HIIT and sleep.

You have control of your choices!
mntbiker036 1 year ago
If you want to lose weight you want your body to use energy inefficiently, if our body used glycolysis we would need to eat 5x the calories, because it makes far less atp's than aerobic respiration. You say studies, why dont you source some of them from medical publications, such as pubmed, I can say studies say it is found in 90% of men studied that lying makes his penis smaller, but im not right. I dont think you are making this video to help people but to advertise organic foods.
yenyoo 1 year ago
@yenyoo I agree. This video seems to be an add and not really helping people. People need to think about what they put in their bodies, not just buy organic all the time.

You can't wash the pesticide and other crap off by running it over hot water???
aaron4801 1 year ago

You are so right. In the last month just by doubling the amount of organic versus non organic food I have dropped 35 lbs.

I love food :))

if ur body uses more energy to burn up these bad foods wouldnt u lose more weight eating them
rgray3319753 1 year ago
@rgray3319753 We talking about digestive energy not burning calories... when the body is too busy digesting bad foods and trying to detox itself of toxins it leaves behind other functions that are needed for general health and natural weight loss. The more it takes to digest foods the faster you will feel hungry again and the hunger will feel more intense... its all about hormones, do your research... go to mercola.com ..... diet.com ain't shit.
dbloodline 1 year ago

I'm just saying you can't blame obesity on pesticides. that's just stupid.
risingphoenix737 1 year ago
wow...i turned the video off as soon as they said that overeating and lack of exercise don't cause obesity. those are the only things that do cause obesity. and they say PESTICIDES cause obesity????? this video's a fuckin joke. EAT LESS AND EXERCISE. it's really really simple to lose weight.
risingphoenix737 1 year ago
ESOTERICALADEPT 1 year ago
@zev007 more energy spent prepossessing food chemicals that can not be possessed into energy that can be used and slows down the body activity (cause your tired) making the body store the chemicals after it processes them = FAT production if your half as smart as the average high school student you could put 1+1 together to get the answer that you say is 900% bs is 900% right
tugrot 1 year ago
All foods are made of chemicals, including so called organic foods. Actually all solid matter is made of chemicals.
Lots of foods that people regularly consume are loaded with natural toxins that our body reacts negatively to. For example, most people are allergic to grains. They get sick when they eat them but they don't know why. Unfortunately the grain producing industry has "convinced" FDA (via strategic campaign donations) to push more grains on us.
XCritonX 1 year ago
if it takes more energy to process those foods, should you lose MORE weight. this video is 900% bullshit.

@zev007 LOL! Think of it like a car, running on gasoline, except the gasoline is extremely thick and much harder for the engine to combust. Does the car run faster? Derp.

The funniest part about organic food, is it's produced by the SAME process as every other food, it's just marketed differently.
American food isn't "Toxic" and people are being goaded like cattle.
colonforsecs 1 year ago
@colonforsecs : The same process? WRONG! If it does then it isn't coming from a certified organic farm. Where on earth do you get your information?
auggiedoggy 1 year ago
@auggiedoggy USDA, all food products must meet the same standards for consumption. Non-organic and organ produce is produced by the same processes by the same farmers. This is some new age yuppie bullshit.
colonforsecs 1 year ago 3
@colonforsecs : In Canada you have to be certified and you have to adhere to strict standards that a regular farmer would not. I can't see the USA being that different. Nothing is 100% toxin free these days but certified organic farms are the safest bet. At least here in Canada they are.
