  • SHORT AND FAT just like hobbits

  • Who's Albert the Ingall children were 4 girls no boys where'd he come from? I thought the speak would be worse but it was really bad

  • @52wbending52 Albert was adopted by the Ingalls family

  • @52wbending52 When they lived in Winoka for a short time(when Walnut Grove went belly up) they met Albert who ran away from an abusive boys' home. He was stealing to survive and was caught by Charles. Later on when the Ingalls moved back to Walnut grove to start over, Albert came with them

  • Who's Albert the Ingall children were 4 girls no boys where'd he come from?

  • @TudorRose85 That was the humor in that scene lol the kids' dejected faces

  • is it me or are these uploads a bit wide ? The actors all seem to be out of proportion ?

  • @lover4him13 Yes and he felt embarassed.I adore when he enters the classroom and the mistress,Miss Wilder is turning towards the pupils with her large smile,oh Albert is sooooo disappointed!lol! He just feels very bad at ease with his costume and tie.

  • to be honest, whenever I saw the title of your 'lhotp' and then it said 'starring' i thought it was only the main scene of that character. But i guess i was wrong! so thanks for uploading!! subbed!!

  • I HATE THIS WOMANNNNNN ELIZAAAAAAAA JANE

  • 4:00 "I'm gonna be finished today, even if Harriet has to beat the workman with a whip!" Ha! Well, you being her husband, that's a little too much info! I can just see it. Ewwww, actually I don't want to go there! Oh, you must think I'm terrible! I can turn an innocent "Little House" episode into: ..... Well, I thought of a name for that Porno, but I'm ashamed! Believe me, you don't want to hear it!

  • i think they look so much younger because of braids and the little girl dresses that she wore

  • AHHH finally I'v been looking for you! I'm 13 and this is one of my FAVORITE shows! =3 I love this episode especially! Thank you so much Emotional2000 !!!

  • thank you E so much for this treat x

  • @SistersOfHope Sacrilegious is an actual word, it means grossly irreverent toward what is or is held to be sacred. But still quite funny how she is smarter than Charles so many times ;-)

  • albert is sooooooo cute

  • Comment removed

  • Ha ha Albert's face at 6: 33-6:43

  • How old is albert in this ep.

  • @ImRightHere13 I believe Laura is 1 year older than Albert. So if she is 15 going on 16 in this epi, that means Albert is 14 going on 15....

  • @Emotional2000 I believe that Laura is 3to 4 years older than Albert. In the the 2 episodes of the 4 aeason where the family moves to Winkoa, and the character of Albert is first seen, Mary's 16th birthday is celebrated. In the episode where Mary gets married, it is mention that when Mary was 2, she had run off and Caroline was expecting Laura at the time- so there are 2-3 years between Laura and Mary. In the same episode back at the house, the scene where Albert is smoking the pipe,

  • he mention that he is at ten, so he would be 11-12 during this season which would be 2 season later.

Also in the Sweet Sixteen episode were the superintendant of schools askes Miss Wilder if her best student could fill in as a subsitute teacher, she mentioned her best student was 12. Albert was not mentioned by name but he was always shown as a good student.

  • @ImRightHere13 Albert is 12 years old going on 13. Laura is 2 1/2 years older than Albert.

  • @ImRightHere13 No, Emotional is half right. Yes, they are a year apart. But, Laura is going on 15, so Albert is 13. Almost Emotional, maybe next time!

  • Could I just ask...how old is laura in this episode?

  • @arachnophobia100 Around 15 years old.

  • Ms.Olsen really reminds me of this store owner that my mom knows. Similar personality,

  • They sure did a good job in making Mrs.Oleson an unbearable character, lol. XD

  • Could you upload the episode "Little Women?'

  • Was she about to swear at 09:29? AHA...

  • HAHAHAHAHahahahaha ALBERRrrttt!

  • HAHAHA!! Caroline for the EPIC WIN!! Book, chapter and verse...game set and match!

  • ha! love to the end!

  • * applauds* caroline quoting scripture with respect to housework. :D

  • Well, it was in the First Class section of a 747 jet. She was very polite and easy to talk with.

  • I always thought Melissa Gilbert had beautiful hands. I bet the smelled good of lemon berbeana.

  • I met Melissa Gilbert when she was 20 years old and got to talk to her during an airplane flight. She was cute all over, but I didn't smell any lemon.

  • I bet she's a really nice person. I know I saw her when me and my mom went to see "LHOTP: the Musical" but didn't get to talk to her or anything. I wish I could have gotten a chance to meet and talk with her. The closest I got to her was about 50 feet away! :)

  • @DVDluvr123 : I can't believe you actually met her. How exciting! Thanks for sharing! : D

  • she was about to say "oh heaven's sake nelssssss!"

  • so cool how albert is now a member of the family, calls them ma and pa, love it (=

  • So this is where the town got it's restaurant from? I was wondering about that. must've been a small place, one restaurant.

  • LOLz @ Albert's reaction tothe new teacher Eliza Jane.. The music they played during it was hilarious also...

  • thank you so much emotional for posting this episode! lhop brings back so many good memories! i've been looking for this episode for so long! thank you so very much!

  • Hahah, the look on Albert's face when he saw the teacher = PRICELESS!

  • when did albert start callin him pa? and her ma?

  • I'm pretty sure it's in the episode called Fagin when Charles buys albert a cow and gives him so much attention and Laura get so jealous, especially when he calles her pa, pa!

  • lol,,the look on alberts face when Miss. Wilder turned around...he was proably thinking ..WTF!!!!lmao..woof woof

  • "I hope that means she's moving away."

    That was gold Laura.

  • haha,

    fellow students, friends and OTHERS.......

    so funny

  • I feel like on the show, anyone can graduate whenever they want. Nellie was the only one who graduated in this episode and laura left school to be a teacher which is weird since she was only sixteen.

  • her friends...lol Nellie didn't have any.

  • Nellie had friends but only because her dad ran a shop and had lots of money.

The only reason the kids attended her parties when she was younger was because of her dad's wealth.

Basically, Nellie has to rely on her wealth to get by in life.

  • Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! I almost got to tears when I saw this vid...30 years ago I watched this series and it had a huge impact on me...u can never imagine how huge it was...thank God.

  • One of my faves because it's about two things I love -- cuisine and romance.

  • Thanks for uploading all these wonderful episodes of Little House!! ;)

  • this is my fav ep

  • LOL 02:56

  • Nellie is so stuck up and snooty! I laugh everytime I see her in this episode! It is hilarious.

  • lol, Mrs. Oleson is so funny in this episode!

  • LOL @ Nellie's speech.. she's hilarious and stuck up at the same time lol

  • Did they extend the house? It looks alot bigger.

  • lol @ Albert when he first sees Eliza Jane. He got all dressed up only to be wrong...BUT in the episode "sweet 16" he comes over to her and asks her to dance.Did she get prettier or is he just a good sport?

  • The best example of this is "Nellie Oleson", who first appears in On the Banks of Plum Creek, and makes her final appearance in These Happy Golden Years. Nellie Oleson was actually a composite of three actual people from Laura's life during those years: Nellie Owens, Genevieve Masters, and Stella Gilbert.

  • Many fans tend to mistakenly accept the material in the books as completely factual, forgetting they are fictionalized autobiography. Pioneer Girl, Laura's unpublished original autobiographical manuscript shows the subtle differences between reality and fiction when compared to the published books. Like many writers, she sometimes compressed characters, changed names, and juxtaposed incidents in the interest of better story telling.

  • listen at 9:24 it sounds like harriet says the f-word

  • I love when Caroline tells Charles to wash the dishes and then recites Scripture! lol

  • yes, one of THE best Little House scens. lol

  • i believe at that time they graduated around 18. laura was 18 when she got married (in the book) and in the book she would have graduated too. so i think nellie is around 18. also the age when she was good to get married.

  • how old is nellie? i thought she was the same age as laura

  • I've always thought Nellie was older than Laura... I believe by a year in the t.v show.

  • nellie indeed was older than laura in the tc show from my understanding. in the book i believe they were of the same age.

  • Well there was no Nellie Olsen in real life. The character is compromised of a few different people Laura Ingalls knew, but in the book and show, Nellie is the same age as Mary, so probably a year or so older than Laura

  • i dont mean to come of rude or anything... but there was a Nellie Oleson. I have read all the books, and a few of them talk about Nellie. If you don't believe me I can scan the page of the book where it talks about her and show you. There are whole chapters about Nellie and Willie... and Mary and Laura are 2 years apart so Nellie might be in the middle of them :) ! and the books are written by laura about her life.. so Nellie did exist she wouldnt make her up

  • No, I'm sorry but you are wrong. Nellie Olsen was not a real person in real life. She was made up of about 3 different people that Laura Ingalls knew growing up. The Olsen family are just characters in the books. Laura made them up to make the stories a bit more funny and interesting. You can look it yo yourself, there is no history of the actual Nellie Olsen anywhere. Not evertything in the books and show actually happend. Its for entertainment purpose only.

  • Actually, no she didn't. All of Laura's characters in her book are real. I visted the Walnut Grove Laura museum and there was a grave for Nellie on display in pictures, I have the pictures at home in an album that we took

  • You can argue with me all day long, but Nellie Olsen was NOT a real person. Not everyone in her books were real. You can google Laura Ingalls and a ton of stuff comes up about her, but nothing on Nellie Olsen because she never exhisted, shes just a character. The grave you saw must of been a prop for the books. Do some research online about it. You'll see that she was not real, she was a mixture of annoying people Laura Ingalls knew.

  • Meh whatever, I enjoy the show and books I really don't care.

  • Nellie olsen was real she just had another lastname.

  • There was a girl that Laura knew named Nellie, but her name was Nellie Owens, not Oleson. "Nellie Oleson" was really three different girls combined- in the books set in Walnut Grove, she is based on Nellie Owens and another girl named Genevieve Masters, and in the later books that are set in South Dakota, she is based on a girl named Stella.

  • Thank you! I was trying to tell that to another person on here and they just wouldnt have it! lol

  • lol =)

  • I know. I saw the fight. You were totally right cause I went on the internet and looked it up and it told about the three different girls right there! She was messed up!

  • almanzo is SOOO HOTT

  • SMOKIN! lol : D

  • @xXbball16Xx my friend says he is SOOOOO UGLY i am like ur rude he is HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • @xXbball16Xx AGREED!!!!!! Almanzo is one of the HOTTEST guys in history!!!!!! He's got a good attitude as well, he's got it all!!!!!! And i love that low noise they play when Eliza Jane turns around. Hahaha! it sounds like someone smelled a skunk or something!!

  • almanzo is mad sexy!!!!! <33 =D

  • This series is great! Ironically, I used it in a Youtube Poop. I used the episode where Laura likes Jason, and Nellie's phonograph talks like a gangsta!

  • At 9:06 everyone gets up to see Nellie's graduation gift and Willie is just sitting there! ROFL ROFL. Hmm how o ld is Nellie anyway? 16? 17?

  • Probably 16...

  • when I was small we had to live almost like little house our bathromm was outside(out house)that was like 1970..it was hard we had no food my dad shot a deer in the summer to feed us..my parents had 16 kids well we made it to grow up..

  • Wow! What an incredible story... Thanx so much for sharing your life with us LHOP fans... You are truly an inspiration! And I am glad things worked out for you in the end... : )

  • almanzo's a HOTTIE!

  • Totally! X D

  • THIS is my favorite episode!!! Dean Butler was perfectly cast for the role of Almanzo. I was hooked from the first scene (help me, somebody)...

The sad part about this episode is that it's the last big fight between Nellie and Laura.

The best part is when Pa goes over to Almanzo's house -- you've got classic Michael Landon/Melissa Gilbert chemistry working there.

  • Very true! When Dean appeared on the show, I was like he's HOT as well as CHARMING! I couldn't get enough of his character. It was like love at first sight. As for ML and MG, I loved when they had scenes together. There were simply fantastic as Pa & Laura Ingalls...

  • In Laura and Nellie mught fight Laura wins :DD Shes smaller than Nellie :D

  • yeah in the mud fight, thats why you dont fuck with short people... lol!

  • Luara is around 14 or 15 here, but she doesn't look it. Becuase she is wearing the same clothes and has the same hair style that she had when she was 8. She looks about 12 to me, but she is definatly supposed to be older.

  • Agreed... She does look much younger than she's actually supposed to be portaryed...

  • Melissa was 15 at the time this episode aired. There are differences: (1) her teeth are finally straight and (2) she had beautiful LONG hair that I'm sure was pure hell to make into neat pigtails. Yes, she was young, but WAY too old for pigtails at this point. In fact, it looked ridiculous because at the time she was on the MotW EVERY week -- looking like a modern teenager! "The Miracle Worker" (starring Melissa) aired a month after this episode on NBC and (deservedly) received critical acclaim.

  • 38106chick what is MOTW?

  • Movie of the week

  • What was MotW?

  • Please tell me if the outhouse is the bathroom.

  • yes it is

  • It must of been scary if going to the outhouse at night... Thank goodness for modern times...

  • I wonder if the outhouse is the bathroom.

  • You look just lovely lol

  • Why does it start with the little girl (who?) running to the outhouse.I just stopped it when she ran in there.

  • I love how Charles tries to be sexist right here "Carol, doing dishes is not a man's work" and Carol sets him straight.

  • grrrr i'll try it agian, does anyone know how old Laura Ingles is suppose to be here

  • In REAL LIFE, Laura met Almanzo when she was entering her teens. I could be wrong, this IS TV we're talking about.

  • Laura was 15 when she first met Almanzo. She started working as a teacher at 16 shortly after her birthday and they married when Laura was 18, and Almanzo 28 Years Old according to some of the "Old School Books".

  • ok that went through but my other comments didnt what gives

  • fdmgxj

  • OK WHERE DID MY COMMENT GO?

  • Tee Hee. xD I love this video. I love how Laura get's into so much trouble in Part II, also. xD

  • that would have killed albert if the teacher turned around and it was Dave Chapelle LOL

    It's Eliza Jane Bitch!

  • how on earth did she clap her hands so fast 7:30

  • me to i love this show a lot this show is so nice to watch

  • I think alot of people do too they just don't want too admit it! Michael Landon really impacted Family Television. If I had the money I would get Michael Landon Jr. 2 direct a television series(family) hes into directing now.
