Isn't it ironic how Hemp is legal to grow in countries like Canada, the UK and etc, yet the amount of drug use in those countries isn't nearly as high and pervasive as it is in the US. Hemp has been used for industrial purposes including paper, textiles, biodegradable plastics, construction, health food, fuel, and medical purposes. On top of that, it's not the Hemp plant that people eat, but the Hemp seeds. I eat the Hemp seeds raw and they're absolutely delicious.

lol, Its the SAME PLANT. Both are just specialized hybrids/subspecies of Cannabis Sativa- one bred to grow taller and produce longer/stronger fibers, one to grow shorter and bushier to produce sappier potent buds and flowers.

I just feel like they shouldnt be making apologies for it and trying to distance it from marijuana; people need to grow up and understand how all-around beneficial the plant is, PERIOD.

Well I'm pleased to see people are discussing Hemp in a positive way and that the cultivation of Hemp in the US seems to be a possiblity. However I would like to point this out. Omega 3 is a superpolyunsaturated fat, which means that it is very heat sensitive. Heating and pasturising Hemp will create free radicals, which cause tumours and eventually cancer. I would not describe these products as health products but 'health gimicks'. Eat Hemp raw and certainly not irrediated. So grow your own.

They are different in that hemp is a specialized subspecies of Cannabis Sativa bred to produce little to no THC and stronger fibers, while MJ is a specialized subspecies bred to produce more THC and bigger buds.

No you will not fail a drug test if you consume hemp food products. I consume hemp seed and hemp oil on a regular basis and get yearly drug screening done, which is mandated for all city employees where I work. The plus side of consuming hemp has been that my hair and finger nails have become healthier looking, which to me indicates the nutritional benefits of hemp are contributing to my overall health.
