it was much louder in the hatchback cause it was a hatch lol. I installed professionally i promise in the vehicle you have they would be much much louder facing into your back and not crammed against our window. ever notice how loud bass is when a guy is pulling up then when he gets there it isnt near as loud? thats because sound needs room to travel before it hits its loudest point. in your case it doesnt get the chance to travel.

Your truck isnt flexing bc the air has no where left to go in back. If you simply turn the box 180 degrees, so the subs are facing the front of the vehicle, and flip it so the ports are on top facing the front, it will do 100 times better.
