@mtlinknfl I agree the BCS sucks, however, it is MUCH more fair of a system than pre-BCS that often didn't produce a 1 vs 2 title game. Hawaii got trounced 41-10 by the 3rd best SEC team that year, so not them. Ohio State couldn't stay on the field with LSU, so not them. No matter how you slice it, there would have been a 2-loss team in the playoff that year, and LSU was CLEARLY the best, so it's fair to gripe about who got screwed, but LSU proved on the field they DID deserve to be there.

That proved without a doubt that the non-title BCS bowls are as corrupt as North Korea, but neither the BCS nor the bowl committee choose who is #1 and 2. The coaches poll and the Harris poll are independent from the BCS, and the computer rankings literally can have no bias, so whomever is in the title game has earned it.

On Interceptions AND fumbles. LSU got not one turn over except when the nose guard got confused and hiked the ball before hand, which was a mis communication. And the players you were playing most of the game was LSU's 3rd string in case you didn't know.
Oklahoma had bad luck in 2003: first you lose the Big 12 title game to KANSAS STATE of all people, then you get slapped down by LSU in the BCS title game, but I think USC should have played against LSU for the title (Nebraska lost to Colorado in the last game of the 2001 season, but played for the national title against Miami).

Just try getting through that schedule year in and year out.

Game #2 in 2007 involved the first team in the BCS to win with two losses (one was to Kentucky for God's sake) and once again played on the LSWHO home field. Oklahoma had bad luck in 2003: first you lose the Big 12 title game to KANSAS STATE of all people, then you get slapped down by LSU in the BCS title game, but I think USC should have played against LSU for the title (Nebraska lost to Colorado in the last game of the 2001 season, but played for the national title against Miami).

Just try getting through that schedule year in and year out.

@adnoel0709 Both highly questionable! 2003 USC was by far the best team and LSWHO plays championship game #1 on their home field. Game #2 in 2007 involved the first team in the BCS to win with two losses (one was to Kentucky for God's sake) and once again played on the LSWHO home field. USC has always been discriminated against by the NCAA and the BCS. The BCS is in the SEC's back pocket.

my opinion, being an ohio state fan, is that the SEC is the best followed by the big ten/pac-10. the big 12 is the conference that needs to be criticized they suck in bowl games! they have NOO defense! the next 10 years, the BCS national championship game will go to an SEC team in at least 8 of those 10, a big ten once and a pac ten once

Even though Ohio State has been in the top ten in the nation for a while they still get owned in the championship every time. LSU and then Florida. And the only reason they are so good is cause they face sucky teams like Indiana and Illinois. There havent been many good teams in the Big 10. @Juiceroids What? I dont hate Ohio State. But against SEC teams in BCS they are 1-3 against SEC teams in bowl games. Two of those losses in the National Championship. And it's not ignorant.How they play on the big stage(in this case the championship) really determines how good a football team is. They seem to take the lead and fold under pressure(in both championshp games) But besides that, the Big Ten is really mostly a weak conference except for a few teams in it. Oh and btw nobody asked you.
