Thanks for the info. Starting to feel a little better with my T2i but I'm still learning. What would be the best setting for taking video/pictures of my kids basketball games? Also, do you have a video that is more in depth than this one about the camera and taking good pictures/videos?
@robdrums69 Thanks for the feedback, but the information provided is correct. The T2i does record 1080p @24fps. Excerpt from Canon's website: "Video can be captured at a number of resolutions and frame rates for numerous applications. It can capture 1920 x 1080 Full HD video at frame rates of 24 (23.976), 25 or 30 (29.97) frames per second, for up to 4GB per clip. Other recording sizes include HD at 1280 x 720 (50/60 (59.94) fps) or SD/VGA at 640 x 480 (50/60 (59.94) fps)." Do you own a T2i?
@robdrums69 24fps is the most sought after frame rate when filming, as this is the frame used when filming movies. 30fps is not actually smoother, but more rigid. 30fps is used primarily for News, Sitcoms, interviews, etc, as this is a required format for TV. The faster the frame rate, the more detail you capture in movement. Hope this helps...thanks!
hi, i recently got the T3I i have been trying to figure out how to crop an image, like zoom in on it, within the camera and keep it that way. how do i do it?
hey, shawn, thanks a lot for doing this! i just bought my T3i yesterday and still a little confuse about the system but ur vid clear it out for me so thanks again!
I have the T3i and trying to find out how I can zoom using the zoom in and out buttons (the + and -) buttons instead of zooming using the lens. It works when zooming in and out on pictures that I have already taken in preview mode but I just can't figure out how to zoom in and out using those buttons in picture mode. Thx for your help.
Hi, I just purchased my T2I today and each time I go to M or TV mode my screen and pictures I take are all dark. All the other settings are fine do you know what's wrong?
@BinghamVlogs sorry for getting back so late. This would require you to slow down your shutter speed to 1sec or more. You would have to compensate by lowering your ISO to its lowest setting (i.e. 50-100). Additionally you'll have to adjust your aperture accordingly (depends on how much ambient light there is).
@davidmogen This will depend on what lens you have and if you're using an external flash. Also are you shooting during day indoors or at night indoors? If you use the auto setting on your camera while shooting indoors it will most likely force your popup flash to fire. You'll need to use a wide aperture lens, such as a 1.8-2.8. Hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions. Thank you!
@TheSuperSyahmi What SD memory card are you using and what camer are you using? Make sure, at a minimum, your SD card is a "Class 10 SDHC". If yours says "4" on the card, this is your problem. If it says 6, it could stop as well, as you may have a lot of movement in your shot causing the transfer bit rate to go up. thanks!
@KreativeVueTV hey thanks alott ! :) mine one is Class 10 SDHC , kingmax ,
my camera is EOS 600D , n why it happens ? that "movie recording have been stopped automatically" when I start record , after a few seconds that stuff comes out -.- ok thanks for help :)
@TheSuperSyahmi You may have a defective memory card. Try and use another card and test it out. Oh...what size memory card are you using 4, 8, 16, 32?
@TheSuperSyahmi it's because the camera automatically stops recording once the file has reached 4 gb, all you have to do is push the little "start recording" button again.
eos rebel t3i is what I have. I have no idea what anything means! I can't even record videos off this camera! lol Do you have a tutorial on what everything means on the camera and how to do the simple things like record video? Thanks for your time!
@jgo057gmail Sorry you're having so much trouble. I believe you have a dedicated button for video. What specifically are you experiencing the most trouble with?
Thanks! T3i was my choice I wish this was out about a month ago, looking forward to recording tips. Also would like a review for best walk around lens for 3Ti. 18-200mm?
you'd think cause of the editing and the way the video quality looks, you would think this would be a big youtube channel. just saying you deserve more views
@MetallicaCub3 Thank you for the support, I would greatly appreciate it if you shared with your network of friends. It's tough, but I'm thankful for you and everyone else who watches and subs. Thanks again for your comment, let me know if I can be of assistance to you.
One bug thing is the digital viewfinder..is it a big con?I heard it speeds everything up , well the translucent mirror does, faster focus in live view
So its really up to me..Sony is supposed to be better image quality wide being newer (snapsort).I don't mind video much since I may Get a used Sony wx9 fire video and second camera, add I was pretty happy with the Sony hx7v video qualitu I had which I lost.
@guitargodslash89 I think at this point, for your needs, the Sony may fit the bill. In either case it is a good way to begin your photography endeavor. Try the sony out, it definitely won't prevent you from taking some nice images. As you progress and get better with your photography, then you will most likely consider something in the future. There is no doubt whether I think you'll be satisfied with the Sony, it is more than capable of producing good images. Thanks again for you comments!
Thanks for answering! Well,I can't affotd the t2i or t3i, i'm looking to spend under 500 for body with lens (t1i) or abit above with Sony.I enjoy Sony s intelligent auto and featutes I had a hx7v,but I want sharper images not soft ones,so dslr should help.I like the look of the t1i mote..it'd not easy.i also want a 50 mm 1.8 lens

...digital for me. The view finder, although handy, is digital and not a pentaprism. Although roughly priced the same, the T1i will serve more of your beginner DSLR needs. The Sony is geared more towards the consumer that does not want to spend too much time on the manual features. I would probably recommend considering the T2i or T3i. Are you looking to move into DSLR photography as a series hobby? Sorry for the harsh comparison, your feedback please. Thank you!
@guitargodslash89 Hello and thanks for watching! This is tough one to answer as it is an odd comparison. I've never been a huge fan of sony dslr's, although not against them. The A35 has a lot more advanced features than the T1i and would be a little more on the pro end when considering some of its features, such as: 7fps, slighly higher ISO and Megapixels, HDR and 3D capability. If this type of camera appeals to you, then Sony has the T1i beat. My beef with this camera is that it's too...

@KreativeVueTV - just not sure why you would put 24fps as highest framerate then if it does 30 fps as well? 30fps is smoother motion..
