I am sorry to say that you have been wrongly informed. This song is based on Origina Haryanvi Folk "Lei Ber Banan ki Ot, Mein to tere Paas ne Khari" and it was my father Late Sh. Surender Soni, who incidently scored the Background Music for this film, who gave this tune and only the Sthai tune was taken. MD Roshan and my father worked together at AIR, Delhi before Roshan went to Bombay and it was at his insistence that my father went to Bombay but came back after a few months.
