good trick is to tie the top of your bridle to one of your plaits so if this does happen you have a better chance of it staying on (its in mark todds book :) )
and love how the horse is like wait a second no bridle whooooooooooop time for some bucking !
@WhitetailHurt Falls are unexpected and generally speaking, your first reaction is to hold on to what you've got. It's not the rider's fault the bridle was pulled off... it was an instinct. It looks to me that the rider was thrown over the horse's head, and her hands managed to slip the bridle over the ears. This is the most ffective way to take a bridle off, so it probably didn't hurt the 1200lb horse at all.
Lol and the latest trend in cross country riding. When things are getting a bit tough simply do a forward roll off and land on your feet. Poor girl. Sucks when you come off at competition.
The rider rode and came off cleanly, a good rider, but I think the fall could have been prevented with not leaning forward so much. The rider went into twopoint a whole stride before the jump, and maybe if the rider had waited, it could have possibly been prevented.
it happens...sometimes when you go over their head your hands catch in the crownpiece or in trying to hang onto the reins and they pull back it comes off...it happens since a correctly hooked up bridle is so tight that it won't come off if pressure is applied...for safety.
thats just what my horse did when i fell off except she had the bridle but still she ran all the way back to the start and then to the dressage field lil monkey and she done a buck but she went full speed lucky she didnt hurt herself other than over-reaching on one foot.
lol i must say you fell off the "right" way...on your feet. hopefully nothing hurt. for a brief moment there i thought the horse was going to come back but then i just see him take off
wow that was funny! i favorited it! i loved it! reminded me of when i was at a 3 day event i heard like 3-4 times in one day "we have a loose horse" lol it was funny in here listening to the people on the walkys!
hi, im making a falls vid aND WAS WONDERING IF U WANT UR CLIP 2 BE IN IT!! IF NOT, TEHN THATS OK, BUT IF SO MESSAGE ME AND IL TELL U ALL THE INFO!!! thanx a bunch!!! great vid!!

There's another vid of this same fall only from a different angle ("Fall at Poplar Place"). Kind of crazy you got two different angles of your first fall on x-country. Nice landing.
Suprisingly enough, she ran back to her stall at the barn which was forever away. someone caught her for me. Actually I ended up with a little scrape on my knee. thats it! Surely I was blessed!
ha ok i was actually walking out on the course to watch a friend and the announcer was going "loose horse headed fast towards the barn" lol i take it thats the horse!
thats the wrst fealing in the hold god dam world seeing your horse galloping of like that both my horses have goten loes on a bizzy main rode i was sick 1 because am unfit and couldnt fun any more and to coz there was a lorry comming at her

I like the x-country course it looks quite nice as a small training course. It would be good for young horses.

Haha, I have to admit I'd do that same.

Wow. I'm horrified....how does one pull off the bridle? Unless it's hooked up improperly beforehand....or otherwise badly weathered.

The rider/owner of that horse gives you permission, only if I can get a copy of the finished video.
Now whether the owner of the camera does.... thats up to them!!
