what was the operating system on the computer before? linux? i have a linux one and wanna install windows on it.. can u please tell me if its possible to do or not? tnx
You could also mount the ISO onto a large enough Flash Stick around a 4gb in size, and run the installer off of it. I have done it with various Linux distros, and even WinXP ;-)
it has to be a good 4 gig, i have a "4" gig drive, thats actually about 3.6 gigs, which is like just short of what you need, luckily i also had a 3.9 one lying around
One can install from within winxp (etc) , albeit losing Partitioning options - so just partition beforehand. Copy to USB Stick and thats it . run setup.exe
Yeah. I was amazed by just how easy everything was.....from downloading the ISO file to organizing the partitions...it was pretty flawless..and even better...Windows 7 rocks!!
