  • finally somebody did it! Thanks.

  • Awesome tutorial. Thank you so much. :)

  • You are adorable and this is so helpful, thank you so much!

  • I seem to read a lot of comments about how complicated her music is. That seems like a huge complement to her talent.

  • Adam, thanks so much! I am a musician and I usually figure out songs by ear myself! This song was tricky because you need the correct inversions for it to sound right! If you've seen other Paper Bag covers they miss the mark! For someone who claims to "not understand music!!!" you are the only one who knows exactly what you're doing! I watched your tutorial and learned to sing and play in half an hour...see my video post! Keep playing, keep teaching, you're wonderful!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for this tutorial!!!! I'm going through a HUGE Fiona Apple phase right now and I just needed to learn this song! It's amazing! Thank you, again. :D

  • thank you so much for this! :] i absolutely love fiona apple & her songs are so much fun to sing. i have actually never played piano before and when i saw this tutorial i decided to learn! ..i've already started learning a little bit of it now, and i like how it's coming. if i ever completely finish learning it [it takes forever for me to learn since i'm a very beginner] i'll post a video here of me playing it!(: thanks again! -skylar-
  • @IceCreamInOctober Thanks - good luck! Keep me posted.

  • I don't think he knows how to play never is a promise, limp, or love ridden right now. However there is a never is a promise video, more than one actually, already up :)....

  • Oh my gosh this is amazing thank you so much!!!!!!! I wanna marry you right now! haha

  • Lol I liked when you siad "I don't read sheet music, I don't know much about music I just play piano"

And its a B Dominant 7th Chord, so you got the 7th part correct.

  • you're awesome!!!!!

  • I seriously want you to play Fiona Apple's Fast as you can or Limp, that would be awesome..

  • you are great! thank you somuch... i need to learn this in a few weeks and now i can do it. thank you.

  • Thank you so much for your comment! :)

I really wish I could help you with "Sullen Girl," but to tell you the truth, that's like the ONLY Fiona song that I just cannot get into. I don't even know how it goes...

Good luck with your search! Sorry I couldn't help.

  • tidal is the only published sheet music of fiona apple. go to your nearest music store, and you'll find the whole album

  • ok thanks i forgot thati requ\ested it like a week after but i found it YAy

  • Is there any way you could post a tutorial of I Know??? I would greatly appreciate it...great job on this one. :)

  • hm. i thought it was Eminor...

  • Hm... I guess it could be... I just tried it and it sounded ok. It could work either way I guess.

  • Nice video! I wish I could play... I have a Yamaha PSR-2200 but the only thing I can do with it is turn it on :P I'd like to learn to play but i have no idea how to start. Any thoughts?

  • Hmm... I really wish I could help but as you can probably tell from watching this video, lol, I'm not a very good teacher.

As for learning to play - I've played by ear since I was 4. Basically, I just hear something, and sit at the piano and force myself to learn it. I can't even read sheet music.

    I would start by learning what keys were what (ex. C, D, E, F, G, etc...). Then, learn chords (ex. C major = C, E, and G).

Lemme know if any of this is making sense to you - message me. :)
