  • That ref is my teacher xD

  • tech is a bunch of thugs

  • I'm a huge Tech fan, but this was inexcuseable.

  • was not intentional. he was putting his hands on his hip that made is elbo go up and hit the ref. then he turns around and tries to apologize. plus why would he hit the ref that soft no point. if your gonna hit him make it hurt

  • Hey stupid. How often do you WALK and put your hands on your hips....

  • stupid alot when your tired and out of breath try gettin of the computer and into the gym

  • Hey Dik, Dick Head. Can you run 2 miles in under 14 minutes and bench press over 250lbs. Didnt think so. So get your lame ass in the gym and at the track. Dumb fuk, dont know shit about what you talking about.

  • wow thats amazing considering you never mentionded if you could do it. you just asked if i could. and if you could do that and get tired i bet you have put your hands on your hips

  • Yes, i can do it. I am a cop, and i just had a nice foot chase that lasted about 1 mile. Caught 3 bad guys at gun point. When i get done running, my hands go over my head to open the lungs. Not on my hips to bump people...

  • holy crap your my hero

  • i would be, you dumb little prick.

  • lmao ok buddy, maybe if you keep telling yourself that happened maybe one day you'll actually believe it

  • why did he walk to the ref// why didnt he step to the side. ??? why did he lift his right arm first, then make contact and left left arm..... then, not even but hands on hips, if he was so tired. U r 1 dumb shit head....

  • hey dummy, the robbed a restaurant at 10 am and got 145 dollars. in turn they will get 10 to 15 years in jail. and it did happen, so dont hate. not all police work makes the news.

  • omg, do you ever see it any other way than your way? The video with dude getting kicked in head by cop, how do you know he told him to turn his head? ahhh, i bet you know the cop that did it, huh? Also i bet your one of those fat ass cops that sit at the desk all day and feed their fatass donuts all day, it would be different if someone seen a video of you or something, but there is no proof you can do any other those things. Oh i forgot to mention im president of the united states. lol dumbass.

  • i can

  • uva fans need to go to football school

  • intentional you can see him stick his elbow out on purpose

  • All the Hokies fans trying to say it was unintentional I have just one thing to say.

GROW UP!! Take off the blinders and actually watch the vid! Of course he did it on purpose! He fricken sticks out his right elbow, he wasn't trying to put his hands on his hips at all. He didn't even move his left arm until after he elbowed the guy and thats when he put his hands on his hips to pretend it was an accident. Thats 10 year old behavior right there. A T and a talk with the ball coach about maturity.

  • It was UnIntentional, you can see he was trying to put his hands at his hips. Also, you can see he said sorry to the ref.

  • Off subject here a bit but going back to "Thugs" going to Tech lately..maybe that was a bit harsh but Brandon Ore just got kicked off the football team for 'Attitude"...way to clean house Beamer..I like it

  • No Ore got kicked off because he hasn't gone to class since he arrived in Blacksburg and now that tech has a new rb coming in as a freshmen who is supposed to be better then Ore, Beamer figured he doesn't need Ore anymore. Beamer never has and never will throw someone out for "Attitude" problems cause them he would have a whole team of walk-ons.

  • love my hokie basketball team, but he stuck that arm out early

  • dude he did not do it on purpose, you can see that he is trying to put both hands on his hips which lots of bball players do when they are tired so its not on purpose

  • oh but i bet if another team messed up you would be making fun of them the chokies play with violence and dont care they get to angry and act completely insane

  • im not a fan of the hokies that much im kentucky but i can see that that was not on purpose

  • it was intentional.. the dude messed up.. give him a break... GO HOKIES

  • too close too call... if it was intential i would of expected the arm to not be as loose as he had his

  • face it VT, you guys are turning into the next MIAMI....i used to respect yall before yall went thugish, you can thank vick for that one...i mean cmon what did he do for yall anyway besides lose a national championship and make your school look like shit

  • If you were going to try and pick on VT, you probably shouldn't have told people you were an FSU fan. Its hard to take you seriously accusing another school of being "thuggish". Pot - kettle - black, criminole.

  • Have you seen Lane Stadium lately?? THAT is what Michael Vick did for Tech..the guy was one of the greatest COLLEGE QBs ever....emphasis on COLLEGE.

  • And btw genius..my first statement was it was GETTING ridiculous..never said it has always been a thug school..

  • dude... dude... ? michael vick never did anything bad in COLLEGE!!! he never cheated on a test stole a blank check or beat someone up IN COLLEGE.. those florida schools are thug school virginia tech had one bad apple MARCUS Vick and everyone goes crazy.. every college has their technical foul in a basketball game or has someone get ejected that doesn't make them a thug school...

a little quick to jump on THAT bandwagon?

  • Vick was already involved in dog fighting while he was at Tech so why don't you shut the hell up with this Vick didn't do anything wrong at Tech bull crap.

  • really so he had a multi million dollar house while he was at tech. thats where the dogfighting took place idiot

  • No it isn't idiot. He was involved in dogfighting while he was at Tech. What now having a multimillion dollar house is a prereq for being a dogfighter? Dogfighting is something that happens in back alleys and abandoned warehouses, it's a "sport", and I use the term extremely loosely, for people of low morals and no conscience. So yes Vick was already involved with dogfighting while in college. And you are a complete and utter fool for trying to argue about it like that.

  • there is no evidence that he was involved while he was at tech. all the ref's and sports commentators said they were suprised with all the dog fighting because he was a great sport and a soft spoken person. money changes people

  • Really because Vick is sitting in prison right now because of the same guy that said he was involved with dogfighting while he was at Tech. Try and get your facts before you come on here and make yourself look stupid.

  • that really doesnt make any sense. "becuase of the same guy that said he was involved with dogfighting while he was at tech" all i know is i read the releases and his charge was dogfighting from 2003-2006

  • Tell me something do you even have a 3rd grade education because this crap you're trying to argue is idiotic as hell. Because of the testimony of the same guy that said Vick was involved with dogfighting at Tech, Vick is in prison. They just didn't have any other evidence besides that one guy's testimony, you know records and dogs, like they did at his house.

  • just let it go you're wrong. i'm not even a tech fan

  • intentional. look at washington and tell me anything those players do on the court isn't intentional. what's even funnier is that they play so dirty and then can't back it up with actually scoring.

  • okay washington had the intentional foul with kicking the guy at duke 2 years ago when he was a stupid sophmore and this year he had the one againtst duke that, if you took the time to look at, wasn't intentional at all. so don't go off calling washington a bad guy.. sure allen did something intetnional but can't a guy screw up once without being labelled?

  • I cant believe they made him sit out for this bull shit call... how dumb can they get.

  • typical hoakie, really funny to see the other hoakies trying to defend their already sucky reputation

  • And he's lucky he only got two.

  • Not really. Read the article entitled "Suspensions are inconsistent" on dailypress DOT com:

In 2002, the ACC suspended North Carolina State basketball player Julius Hodge one game for "deliberately and blatantly hitting Maryland's Steve Blake in the head."

Three years later, the conference took no further action after Wake Forest sat Chris Paul one game for sucker-punching Hodge in the privates.

  • i fuckin hate vt and that "we are vt bullshit". FOR ALL VT FANS!: your program isnt shit in anything, you just got a decent team about 8 years ago, you basketball team is trash, your baseball team in pitifull, just stop, your not a fuckin dynasty! GO NOLES!

  • This gets my vote as "douchebag post of the day".

  • yahh your definitely a bitch. i go to VT and um. guess what? we ARE VT. so go sit and spin you douche.

  • LOL its an FSU poster. How's that cheating scandal coming?

  • are yall fucking serious...you cant say VT players dont fuckin cheat. FSU was just used as a scapegoat. All VT fans do is called FSU a bunch of thugs. Thats bullshit, VT is way more thugish than FSU. AGAIN, stop acting like yall are a sports dynasty, your not shit.

  • "You're" not "your". Looks like you cheated through grammar class too!

  • plus i can go on youtube and find way more videos of your players with unsportsmanlike conduct than i can with FSU...you dont want to go.

  • KliCkKlaCkKaOs is most likely a virgin... he's never been laid... that's why we see hostility from this cunt.

  • And that was for basebn. I could of added much more but we're limited to 500 charachters.

I'm sure you have a great school academically, but for athletics i just see the "thug" appeal. And yes, the U comes to mind too.

  • Flicking fans off, stomping on players that are on the ground (louisville f'ball& duke b'ball), bar fights with multiple arrest, carrying guns, taking advantage of teens(more than just vick), and please let me remind you of VT'S melt down in Boston last year where the players acting on the sidelines just like i'd expect. You have your image, i got mine. This minor basketball thing did not come as a shock, it was more expected. Just waitin for Deron to explode again.

  • More than just Vick? The majority of the stuff you mentioned WAS Marcus Vick. Yes VT has their issues with immature players, but so do other schools.

The only thing the VT administration is guilty of is pulling several players out of bad neighborhoods, who bring some of their bad habits with them. Should VT take a stand against all players from Hampton? The truth is that Beamer and Seth graduate their players, and take kids from bad parts of town and get them college degrees.

  • For some reason my comments arent showing up correctly when they are replies... this was to dragonfire.

  • Definitely intentional. Dont let your Hokie homerism blind you.

  • It is just an isolated incident. These are good kids that are looked up to in the community. I am sure they will sit down and talk with him about what he may have accidentally done wrong.

They are good kids. The Hokies have brought this country together! Hokies (and ESPN) Rock!

  • Michal Vicks mom says he is a great kid too. But i know its not fair to compare the 2. Its just that i hear more about tech athletes in trouble than any other school. Not saying he is a "thug" yet, but this weekend my first impression of Allen was made. He has 3 years left at tech to prove me wrong....

  • Three schools, off the top of my head.

    Miami, Texas, FSU.

This is really an incredibly mild incident, from a freshman who has had no previous incidents (in high school) of behavioral problems. He lightly bumped a ref, it was a stupid decision, but it was not "thuggish."

  • miami pops into my head, no athleat that i know of has killed anyone. besides it was just a stupid expresion of emotion

  • Texas isnt a thug school...

  • dude don't judge him on 1 play i personally know jeff allen and he is a great kid. don't let this poor judgement affect your thoughts of him.

  • Definatly intensional, but i wouldnt say hes a thug. one time a ref threw a crap flag on me. A couple series later i acted like i was going for a block and whipped him out. I got away with it. Sometimes officials need to be put in check, we all know they blow calls on purpose.

  • Fits the image I have for Va. Tech athletes perfectly!

  • Many other schools have issues with players making bone-head mistakes too. I think its a bit cranky to pin this on VT, or to generalize all of virginia tech's athletes as criminals.

I really don't know what your motive was behind this post. Do you think that Virginia Tech's coaches let this stuff fly? I'm positive Jeff Allen would have been suspended by the school had the ACC not taken action.

  • this comment was directed at dragonfire's post: "Fits the image I have for Va. Tech athletes perfectly!"

  • I have been a Hokie fan for years...but I am really getting tired of the thugs that seem to play sports at this school..it is getting ridiculous..seems like every week there is something new for the university to deal with.

  • Yeah. As our sports programs gets bigger, it seems that the character of a good amount of our athletes has gone to shit. And I think we could still have a great overall sports program even if we sacraficed some 4 and 5 star recruits that are slightly thuggish, and replaced them with competitive 3 star recruits that aren't of questionable character. I like VT being the underdog anyway. It's way better than being overrated with a criminal record.

  • Thugs? What exactly makes them thugs? The fact that they are black. Fucking idiot. It amuses me when people like you run their mouths. Define to me what a "thug" is by your definition and while you're at it. Reference to me some more of these "thugs" that have played for VT and tell me what made them "thugs". People trying to make a big deal out of this, yet Heynfelt of Gonzaga gets caught with shrooms and it goes under the radar.

  • thug /θʌg/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[thuhg] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation,

--noun 1. a cruel or vicious ruffian, robber, or murderer.

    2. (sometimes initial capital letter) one of a former group of professional robbers and murderers in India who strangled their victims.

  • Are fuckin kidding me...Brandon Ore was caught with a buddy who just happened to have some Cocaine on him.."Macho" Harris had some bullets fired into his apartment( I guess that was just Random,eh?)...cant think of the name of the kid that was caught trying to cash a check from somebody else's account..don't even get me started on Marcus....but it is in the local news almost weekly....before you call somebody an idiot..I would suggest you do some research..asswipe.

  • How many YEARS does this list go back. A dumbass like you finds a couple bad people in YEARS worth of teams and all of a sudden they are all thugs. Generalizing, stereotyping idiot.

  • That list was from this past year ONLY.except Vick, of course..I live close to Blacksburg and the local news here has a new story almost every other week...so subscribe to the Roanoke Times and maybe you will be able to keep up.

  • It was definitely intentional. He turns his head right as he makes contact. He deserves to sit and I think Greenberg would have sat him even if the ACC had done nothing. I doubt he was trying to "cause harm" with that elbow tap, but I'm not sure what he was trying to accomplish.

  • Hes a freshmen that made a stupid mistake in the heat of the moment... Not one person here can say they've never done something they'd like to take back.. He'll learn from the mistake.

  • Intentional! As a VT alum this kind of behavior angers me. He behaved stupidly and childishly. I am glad the ACC is putting him on the bench. He has earned it. VT deserves better representation than this.

  • I personally think it was intentional, but I think its a bit excessive to judge a person's entire character based on one action they make when they are caught up in the moment.

Have you ever seen anything else from Jeff Allen to indicate that this was not him just getting caught up in the moment on a bad call? I know I've gotten caught up when hyped up on adrenaline and done something I normally wouldn't do. Does that make me a "thug" too?

  • If you can't keep your emotions in check and you respond violently or otherwise try to intimidate or cause harm to an individual, especially in the context of a game, then YES, you are a thug.

  • If you can't control your emotions and you act in a manner so as to intimidate or cause harm to an individual, especially in the context of a game, then YES, YOU ARE A THUG.
