Did you know that flying an airplane is hard but making an airplane to fly is harder? that we, aeronautical engineers who loves to design planes, produce new kinds of planes have higher salary than pilots, yes pilots are more popular than us but hey, without us, the builders, there would be no planes itself and pilots today :p

@shanz83 that's true. a lift force caused by the difference in air pressure keeps the plane up.

engineering is still beautiful cuz u can create what do pilots use. As long as the engineering done well, pilots will be able to use better planes. So what's the difference? Since engineer, who is profficient about the whole "engine", why belittle it? only difference is getting on the seat of pilot. And parents should not force their dreams they cannot achieve on their children no matter what. No one would enjoy a life which they didnt chose

I don't understand Jeremy's dad for being disappointed when he says he doesn't want to be a pilot but an Engineer for building airplanes cause Engineering is obviously a great career..

That's not true in Hong Kong actually. Engineering has no good prospect compare with the others as finance or business.... Maybe engineering in Singapore is much better...
