haha i have a 97 cougar with 45 thousand miles on it. picked it up for 1500. can someone tell me simple things about the 4.6 that would add horsepower?
Camming the 4.6 is pretty far down on the list, stock they have a good lift. Upgrade no PI heads, preferably 98 and up Explorer heads with manifold. Underdrive pulleys is an easy 10-15 HP. Order Underdrive pulleys off summit for a 96-98 Mustang 4.6, they are the same. Anything after that is big money.
nice man, I have some videos of my '88 XR-7 and my '96 XR-7 doing some nice burnouts too.. I love these cars. nice smooth ride, lots of room inside and go like hell if you know where to put your money.

The car is a 1989 cougar with a v8 swap. The video was taken in 2009. The car has had a lot more work done to it and still appears stock.
