  • gay bacon strips & gay bacon strips & gay bacon strips & gay bacon strips

  • I made okonomiyaki with this video and it was delicious! Thank you for making it.

  • i wish we had vietnamese people who could make a show like this. :x

  • Looking at the dog now and the dog from this video makes me realize that he has become even more behaved :D

  • That looks amazing, *drools* but I wouldn't put Octopus in it. (For one thing, I don't think there is any place in Arkansas where I could find it) I'd probably put a bunch of Catfish in it, or more shrimp XD

  • anything I can substitue granulated dashi with?

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THAT, AND CAN I GET A PIECE!?

  • ああああああ。。。たべたいです!

  • OMG! the real cooking mama XD with a dog !

  • i love how it's like a subliminal message @ 1:57. they;re trying to make you crave it even more lol

  • awwwwwwwwwww dog really wanted some okonomiyaki!! francis is a great doggy host <3 he's so cute!! This is the only cooking show I love with such an adorable host and the cute grandma!! It reminds me of my family's home cooking ^-^

  • Awww! poor dog wanted some food

  • Aww. LOL the dog really wanted some.. LOL You are so awesome to watch!

  • Very complicated! I'll just go to the okonomiyaki restaurant on Charles Street in Toronto.

  • Why is there a french dog speaking English teaching us how to make Japanese food!?

    I'm so confused! @_@

  • In case you can't find Japanese mountain yam try adding a table spoon of mochi flour (glutinous rice flour) which you can find in any Asian super market. Plus: you can use the rest of the flour to make the dango from another video!

  • I love Okonomiyaki! I looks so tasty and you can just put EVERYTHING in it!

  • THE DOG IS TOO CUTE!

  • 2:55

    next level okonomiyaki flip maneuver

  • japser

  • EVIL BONTIO FLAKES!!!!!!!!! didn't know what they were when the lady told us it was traditional to put them on.

  • is there an alternative to the wheat flour?

  • @drugal regular flour? i was just going to use instant pancake dough...

  • bacon strips & bacon strips & bacon strips & bacon strips

  • I tried to make Polish pancakes didnt go well

    So i will try japanese

  • It's funny that dog is always relaxed or bored, but with this dish he is like, "GIMME!"

  • octo-pass! Lol

  • 英語下手だなー...his Japanese sucks...

Okonomi means whatever you want so you can add kimuchi, cod row, rice cake, cheese, squid etc.. Instead of octopas!

    Enjoy your dish!!

  • Dog: Awhhh I want that!!! Could I have a taste

    Lady: (-_-')

  • 1.57 subliminal pancake!!

  • he's like "Bitch feed me!"

  • Can you really "coarsely chop into fine pieces" ?

  • is there an alternative meat i can use instead of octopus, i have a family who i like to cook this for but she is allergic to octopus. Any ideas anyone?

  • thats just so mean to the dog....i mean the smell and all that...shitty owner

  • @jase223 I don't understand how it's mean. the dog would probably be more bothered if it wasn't allowed in the room, I'm guessing you're not qualified in animal care or a dog trainer so please don't talk rubbish :S The dog likes to sit there.

  • @jase223 Haha I bet your animals are ALWAYS removed from any good smells in your house. Yes.

  • oooh this one is Oishi yo!!!!

  • That puppy squeaking at the end was cute annnd Octopus is not really my cup of tea.Cool idea for a meal though. =)

  • @MarieFace You can add anything you want to okonomiyaki as long as the basic batter is the same. One of my favorite okonomiyaki combos is pork and kimchi!

  • wow! nice

  • what is dashi soup?

  • watching these videoes makes me huuungryy

  • @1000whitedusts Dashi is basically seaweed and bonito (fish) and is the basis for Japanese soup broth, for one. It's a classic Japanese flavor.

  • The quick glimpse of the finished dish you see at 1:57 isn't "subliminal messaging."

It was spliced in to be used as the video icon... Back then, the video icon had to be at a certain point of the video.

  • @Japanime20 i have its a bit anoying

  • so at what part do you cook the dog?

  • ist it ok if i don't put the shrimps and sakuraebi?

and what is dashi? i mean, if i don't get that, what alternative can i use?

  • Has anybody else noticed that in these 2008 videos they show a quick glimpse of the finished product in the middle of the video?

  • @pipeetin true... rather than making it, i'm hungry and want to take the okonomiyaki and eat it..

  • could we use chicken meat instead of pork?

  • Cooking with dog? SERIOUSLY ????

  • I really hope you guys noticed "dried bonito frakes" under the ingredients.

  • @lindelazer yeah i never add that part lol :D

  • @lindelazer What's wrong with that ? Bonito is somehow like tuna but considered better (and he probably meant flakes).

  • "coarsely chop into fine pieces" PARADOX 1:20

  • Subliminal Okonomiyaki..? xD min 1:57

  • I replaced all the vegetables with bacon strips, and bacon strips, and bacon strips....

  • That dog is adorable at the end haha. This looks great I'm going to try my own variation yum!

  • Want to eat Want to eat .... 食べたい、食べたい

  • Reminds me of ranma 1 2...

  • @ohbbyxx That's the only reason I tried making it. :) Didn't come out so great though :-O

  • why the hell do they always use pork meat, but great ideas

  • @Maanalove because bacon is fuckin smart!

  • @Maanalove - Pork is cheaper out there than beef or (I assume) chicken.

  • @Maanalove Why not pork? I think the texture and flavor of pork in this case is more suitable to okonomiyaki than beef or chicken would be, but I've seen okonomiyaki with chicken, pork, beef, seafood, only veg, noodles, etc.

  • Poor dog. He really wanted some okonomiyaki there at the end. He is such an excellent host. Hasn't he earned a nibble?

  • eahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... too heavy of a meal for me.... but amazing Cooking technique

  • I hope they get a camera for christmas

so we can watch their videos in HD quality :3

  • octo-pus hahaha

  • Wow, now they got sponsors, they getting paid.

  • LOL! I've never seen that dog whine for the food she cooks. Usually he is well behaved but in this case not so. I think Okonomiyaki is his favorite meal! It must be delicious :D

  • @LarryTait

He smells the 'bacon' (Im guessing the sliced pork is very similar to unsmoked bacon)

  • 2:12-2:15 silkie eggs... I should've known

  • This is the Osaka style. I love the Hiroshima style! :D

  • Who cooks with a poodle in the kitchen?! Oh and Sanriko, you're not alone.

  • We seldom put seafood in Osaka. Just cabbage and pork. You can also put noodle under pork, which makes Okonomiyaki Modan'yaki.

  • it looks so damn good, aarrgghhh !!

  • this episode reminds me of ukyo in ranma 1/2, lol

  • @liiliable lol she's the reason i looked this up x3

  • this is like omelette with a lot of stuff in it

  • Is "slice pork" bacon?

  • como los de ukyo :3

  • The yam looks like cheese :3

  • @Ximetama Look for asian markets in your city, there must be at least one :)

  • ありがとうございます。 good idea. what a good host

  • POOR DOG!! :D

  • I WAS ALL =____= UNTIL SHE ADDED THE BACON YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • @juunataku u don need bacon for it to taste good,

  • lol dog always wants some food! XD

  • for any one who lives in london you can eat this in bricklane.....

  • slice porc = bacon???

  • @Ruiguo666 Sliced fatty pork isn't bacon until its been cured. That pork is just thinly sliced and hasn't been cured, thus it isn't bacon.

  • i should be studying for my chemistry test tomorrow but no, i need to watch videos of food :/

  • Okay, can I eat my screen now?

  • Awww. Poor little Francis wants some okonomiyaki. Hopefully she gave him some. :3

  • I have probably watched this one video 15 times over. I want to try this so bad! I live on an island in Canada and it's sometimes hard to find unique supplies. Time to Internet shop!

  • @xxInvisibleMoon lol i know i'm random! XD and yes, we otakus are like that. ^^ sorry, it's our nature so please just ignore it ok?

  • It's called Savory Pancake in Harvest Moon Back to Nature xD

It looks delicious. . Seriously. . I would eat my screen off!!

    But, the only problem is. . , I don't eat pork. .

  • @yukiharvestfans I can't eat beef. USE CHICKEN! xD

  • @WindMaid chicken would be nice too! :D

  • @yukiharvestfans In Indonesia we also have substitute from pork :D Chicken, seafood, beef and even cheese XD Man, the okonomiyaki in this video looked extremely good!

  • @kyokonkyochin oh wow, are you THAT desperate so you have to be that rude?

  • @83myaccount The fuck. lol

  • @JoyeuseXI No i am serious, it was hard to watch.. but that was my best explanation

  • @JoyeuseXI No i am serious, it was hard to watch.. but that was my best explanation

  • @83myaccount

Okonomiyaki tends to have a lot of filling bound by the fluffy/chewy batter. It's supposed to be chunky. If you like it with less filling, you can make it that way, too. Okonomiyaki's one of those foods where nearly anything goes. If you go to a place specializing in this dish, you'll see a lot of different combinations available on the menu.

I personally think the okonomiyaki sauce and mayo are usually applied way too thick, though.

  • @fuuchan27 you know around here were i live does specialize in that kind of food, but it makes be happy to hear is an anything goes kinda thing. I love mayo... i made a tuna melt pizza yesterday with mayo. thanks though, i can't imagine what i saw i this video but i can imagine my own.

in the end was that fish flakes, the movement made me think there was something alive

  • Ukyo

  • i love the look she gives the dog then the camera at the end :D

  • *Is drooling*

  • That sliced pork looks alot like BACON

  • I can watch her slicing vege all day without bored. She slice like a pro :-) the doggy wants to eat too! Gv some to it

  • Is not it unsanitary to cook with a dog next door?

  • @MrBetovenforever

The dog isnt *on* the food.

  • Ukyo from Ranma½ make it looks so easy........

  • @SymphoniaKarin Haha I was just thinking that. She was obsessed with it. I don't like Octopus but it looks like Francis wants some.

  • how to make okonomiyaki sauce? without putting sake...

  • the first that i thought is that hygienic?

  • @iynn512 Why wouldnt it be..?
