I am 15 and I unfortunately did not have the luck to grow up with this show but I can say I watch it daily. I absolutely adore this show and try to get my friends into it all the time... R.I.P Estelle, Bea and Rue, you are missed.
No offence to any fans of entertainment tonight but this progamme really just does not seem personal or touching at all, its like watching a long news report, hastily edited, i think instead of cobbling together a show like this on the day Bea died they should do what they do in the UK and take some time and broadcast a show with a more personal touch and give Bea a tribute she deserved, dont mean that in a nasty way but was expecting more is all
Her role in Golden Girls was iconic because she gave those of us who felt a little bit off, and a little bit awkward a hero. PLUS, in real life she was a champion of animal rights, gay rights, etc. I saw her live in 2000 (one woman show), and she looked at the audience when talking about gay marriage, and she said with tears in her eyes... "we're going to make it, I promise you we will make it." That stuck with me ever since. A wonderful class act.
I have always loved the Golden Girls.... and sometimes, even watching the same episode over and over again, the jokes can still make me laugh! This series is the only one that has stood the test of time..... RIP Bea.... u r timeless....
rip estelle and bea aka ma and pussycat you are reunited now... dont forget our only 2 golden girls left... rue and betty.... stay strong! love all four of you!
i missed this when it aired, so thank you SO MUCH for posting this hear for us to watch. I hope Bea Arthur and her family knows how much her fans loved her the world over. She was a class act, well respected star and actress and truly one of a kind. R.I.P. Bea, we miss you already :(
It feels like we lost our feisty Grandma...Don't know why I'm still sad that Bea has passed -especially learning that she kept her illness a secret...It's true...She did seem to not realize how loved and inspirational she was...Liza Minelli is right..Heaven is a bit funnier now that she's got there..RIP Ms. Arthur
She was so amazing. Always a true joy to watch. I don't think she ever knew how beautiful and special she just was. Hopefully she is looking down on us and discovering so.
i love the golden girls

where is part 3 with her GG-daughter?

I agree. I don't think she ever quite knew how special she was. Look at all of these major stars singing her praise. She was truly an institution.
