The whole Iraq invasion was a ploy by Bush/Cheney to oust Saddam Hussein who wanted to use other currency besides the US Dollar when trading oil. Cheney (heavily involved in Haliburton) also profits from war as one of the biggest suplliers. Like so many wars it was fought for the benefit of the rich with the money of the middle class and the blood of the poor.
