Around 2:08 you can definitely hear something different with the sound of it. Maybe a clue as to what happened?

Dirst I thought it is like tail rotor sound coming up (gyrofailure??), but then I thought that maybe it is motor itself taking revs, like something in transmission line slips. It could be tailrotor belt too. If the belt starts to slip, tailrotor takes less power, raising motor rpm.

Sure it wasn't a servo gear giving out or getting stuck? Thats what always happens to me when something goes randomly bananas and usually its in the tail for me. Gotta buy the nice metal gear servos for that. Not saying I always do obviously. I just use what I find locally for the most part. Flying crashing and fixing are all part of the fun for me even if its a waste of some money.

Silly question, but did you ever get that heli back. There is a video on youtube where a mans heli hit a boat then crashed into the water. He used scuba gear to retrieve it.

that wasn't a gyro failure. everything on that heli was working perfectly. sorry to say you lost a perfectly fine helicopter. what happend was the belt on the tail broke. if it were me, i would dive in after it!! haha. but great flying before the crash!!

That may be. I still think it was a radio problem. I had tons of radio problems with 72mhz. Something similar happened over dry land a few weeks before this video. The tail just started to spin out of control. The Rx completely lost signal and the gyro reset that time I think. I was thinking it was that again. I now use 2.4ghz and have 2 full CNC 450 helis, I very happy to say NO problems!! Flying is fun again!

yes i could see why. i got the dx7 because i have a metal frame and the frame caused a lot of problems. i used to have 72mhz also. but with 2.4ghz everything is great. i have the blade cx2, copterx 450, i'm getting a firebird phantom on monday, and im getting a parkzone p-51 real soon. as in a couple of weeks!! happy flying!!!!

i tryed using a fm radio on a hk450 with full metal head and tail

the interferance was pretty badeven if i unwound all the attena and zip tied it to the boom it just made things worse

since using my gear from a blade 400 it has zero interferance at any distance i fly at

No bad skill about it. I have logged hundreds of flights. Something went wrong with the heli. I was on 72mhz and I was having tons of radio problems. So many that after that crash I sold all my 72mhz stuff and now im on 2.4ghz. Everything is awesome now. Oh and btw, I would like to see any videos of you flying a heli. I checked your channel but did not see any. Post if you got any. Then if your good enough you can criticize my flying.
