  • I love this song. Every line speaks exactly how I feel

  • So glad they put this in the setlist for their latest tour :)

  • I wish I could of seen the manics in this era

  • I was there, and this song made me weep like a silly girl at the time. Okay, I was a 15 year-old girl at the time, but even so.

  • this is such a great song

  • i heard this song first in the middle of nowhere: somewhere in the desert where we were drilling , from then on i fell in love wih htis song but i did not know the name and it took me a month to find it, damn I love this song!

  • A mile empty inside

  • i just want to make this clear I FUCKING LOVE RICHEY EDWARDS!!!

  • Listening to masterpieces like this makes me wonder why the hell I even bother with my bullshit songs..

  • @PartyForTwelve Because one day it'll pay off.

  • @PartyForTwelve Totally agree, and then I play this on guitar and weep.

  • lovvveee this song

  • I was there, and fell in love hopelessly with the Manics, even more than I was already in love with them. And especially this song.

  • excelent

  • anyone have the chords for the chorus of this version?

  • @depechemode1992 I would be happy to help you.

  • @AtticusStount I think I figured it out meanwhile: forever*delayed.org.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=2021382&postcount=54

  • This is a song that doesn't get anywhere near as much credit and appreciation as it deserves, which is a shame as it's definately one of my favourites and a really beautiful song :/

  • Indeed, one of the best MSP songs ever!

  • @Lovesrichey Aye you are right, very underratted. I was quite shocked by the lyrics, at the time. It seemed to me, nobody had written a rock song about anything like that before...and there was plenty more, where that came from.

  • Fucking brilliant; best performance of this song in my opinion

  • Comment removed

  • its about loss of innocence when growing up in my opinion.

  • James Dean Bradfield suits his hair at that length i think. he looks cool and sexy

  • "I don't wanna be a man" Fucking genius if there ever was any.

  • sure you right...few could write a song like this...and fewer would have the atitude to sing

  • its about richey seeing pornography for the 1st time and he cant relate it to real love when people fuck coz they luv each other. He is the only fucking guy who could say that honestly

  • Porn is sex seperated from love. Making love is sex as part of love.

  • they could still pull this off now- wish they would play this live more...

  • James looked great in that sailor suit.

  • I wish I knew the meaning of this song.

  • It's the ultimate anti-love song. Basically Richey's saying "fuck love, it's an obsolete concept and it's only limited to physical connection, not emotional"

At least, that's how I interpret it anyway.

  • Ok thanks. I think of this song as being about a women who has given birth and then broken down. Not sure why I get that.

  • Maybe the opening verse? ;-)

I see what you mean BTW.

  • Landslide is my fave manics song, there have been few songs that mean as much.

  • Awesome version, never heard it played this well live.

  • Massivly underate song from a massivly underated album only sleepflower can top this song off Gold Against The Soul!

  • Nothing in their entire catalog can top this song! I'd give anything to hear it live again.

  • this is just so great! this is better live! lol luving seans shadow in the video! one ov the greatest live videos of them i've found on youtube! god save the manics!

  • Breathtaking

  • agreed
