  • how can the kkk be a growing issue when the KKK group is getting smaller and smaller?

  • So many nutjobs in the world today: KKK, Black Panthers, La Raza, PETA; etc, etc, etc.

  • @Smackdxwn The KKK is actually quite large and active, just underground as @IconMatthew1 said White supremacy is a growing issue, fueled by internet sites and recruiting efforts. Just ask any cop in your town whether the KKK is still active. If they only have 50 members, then all 50 came to the rally the KKK had near my city like 10 years ago. The KKK and their terrible practices shouldn't be forgotten or ignored. That's how they will gain more power, and that's how history repeats itself.

  • @alirolls ahmen

  • PETA isn't accusing AKC of being like KKK. They are using the image of an abhorrent group to get a message across. I don't agree with using that image. But I do agree with the message, which is: "Please question your assumptions that purebred = better. Please don't support breeders, who are a major contributor to the 4,000,000 pets euthanized in the USA every year." If you care about dogs or cats, next time you want a pet, adopt. Never, ever buy.

  • @alirolls as I said I agree with the message but the imagery they used made me lose sympathy for them and their cause.

  • @IconMatthew1 agreed. stupid move on their part.

  • 4,000,000 pets are euthanized in our country each year. 25% of pets in shelters are purebred. Breeders' livelihoods come from, well, breeding. Care about dogs? Next time you want a pet, adopt. Never buy. After reading the stats (google "statistics about unwanted dogs in usa"), I think you will see why I am sympathetic to PETA's criticism of breeders & their questioning of the "purebred = better" message the AKC markets, even if I don't agree with PETA's use of the KKK image for shock value.

  • i was atchualy showing in the show the year they did that i got people very offended and they went way to far the kkk (peta) needs to get there facts right before they do stuff

  • peta has every right, to use the KKK. you dont need to take it personally, seriously, get over it. peta has a better point then you. :)

  • @Smackdxwn lol obviously your a white dude

  • @IconMatthew1 so? something wrong with that?

  • @Smackdxwn not at all, it just means you just will never truly understand what the KKK symbolizes. Try as you might no offense you just won't get it.

  • @IconMatthew1 okay, i think your completly wrong here, theres like 500 members of the KKK, left. so stop being offended over something that happened like 50 years ago. seriously. its the past, get over it.

  • @Smackdxwn KKK still exists in fairly large numbers actually they just arent as vocal as they used to be. This is what I was talking about.

  • @Smackdxwn But its very offensive to use africans! Seriously do you have any idea what they did to use back in the 50's and 60's?

  • @brb1006 Perhaps you should look up what African Americans have done to the Native Americans.

  • i agree with you. but though my research i have found that peta has killed more animal's then the race track's and abuse cases!!!

  • i can guarantee you that if most peta members found out that their daughters were pregnant by a person of color, they would have a major problem with that. since peta wants to make comparisons, they should compare themselves with the german nazis for all of the dogs they euthanize each year.

  • I am all for ethical treatment of animals and humans alike, but the attempt to liken dog breeders with the KKK is just too far. If anything the unsaid implication is that those persecuted by the KKK (blacks, Jews, gays) are equivalent to dogs. That I have an even larger problem with than the charge that the breeders are like the KKK. Humans and animals are different, and if I can only save or affect one life I will always choose the human over the animal.

  • I watched a documentary on one of the founding women from Peta and I am convinced the whole organization is fucked. I like many of you have respected animals I have kept and cared for, and I wouldn't go out of my way to mistreat any animal (or human being for that matter) but these people in this organization are EXTREME. Like you said they have their extremism in common with the KKK. Incidentally both groups were started by Democrats.

  • lol..ahh i love peta and their crazy antics..but this REALLY shocked me..

they like pushing peoples buttons..i love it =]

although i dont think they were right this time..

  • PETA lost all respect as far as I'm concerned!

And I love your line "No dalmation ever called me a N***er".

    Amen to that!!

  • lol thx

  • PETA is out of control. Their antics and shows they put on overshadow the message. So yeah they get publicity but no one ends up talking about the message

  • PETA is crazy. I'm against animal abuse but for PETA to dress as KKK members at The Westminster Dog Show & accuse them of being like the KKK is outrageous.

  • i agree with u

  • I can't believe they did that! I'm a vegetarian, (yup, living off soy beans and nuts Matthew :p) and I do support treating animals good, but I would NEVER compare dog breeders and enthusiasts to murderers and psychopaths! That is completely insane. I don't like PETA either - they're handling these kind of issues badly, and it's because of them that people like me are often met with suspicion :/

  • hey I'm not against vegetarians but yeah PETA needs to know that what they did crossed the line

  • I agree with you %100 I can't belive that PETA did that! this is the first time I heard about that.

  • That would be okay then, even mutts have health issues...

Has anyone seen Peta's comic books for kids where they tell kids that their Dad is a murderer because he goes fishing?

Peta has also renamed fish "sea kittens" Ha ha. They are CRAZY!!! How can anyone believe anything they preach?

  • I agree with most everything you have to say here, BUT you are wrong about purebreds being "sick" or unhealthy just because they are purebred. That is what Peta and groups like them are trying to brainwash the general public into believing.

  • I think he meant more that SOME purebreeds can be unhealthy like any breed.

  • i honestly do think it was uncalled for, for them to do something like that it was a dumb stunt to pull

  • I hate PETA..I do understand what they are doing but they just go way too far. The KKK thing was too far as usual. stupid idiots. There is nothing wrong with expressing opinions or standing up for a cause. But damn.... And i was about to comment asking if your washed your hands before putting them in your head lol. PEACE

  • lol figured someone would be wondering.

  • if no one else said anything you know i would have been the one

  • Your doing a pretty good jod cleaning there Matt, not bad, cool vid!

  • Thanks knew my aunt would flip if she came home to that.

  • Wow!!! Thats crazy but i do believe it. Peta is out of control. People think racism has ended. Racism aint even about color. Its about destroying our morals. Its all good tho man i clean up dog puke to. Just part of the responsibilty sometimes.

  • i really like the video description haha

    and yea peta is crazy.

although i completely disagree with how farms treat their animals and stuff... peta is extreme but they do even it out since the other side can be pretty extreme too.

  • yeah I mean PETA has good intentions but their methods are too extreme.

  • yea, id have to say pretty much anytime anyone tries to use the kkk image to get their point across that's a bad choice.
