  • thank you, please keep updates comming. people must know this through media to create awareness and knowledge on this.

  • Once again, thank you for your videos. And, I hope you will have the time to create informational videos on the new miRNA and SCNT technology, in particular, the work of Dr. Lorenz Studer.

  • verry nice accent ! forr rreal !

  • I want to LIVE Forever :(

  • That'd be boring, I'd rather live as long as I want instead.

  • Very interesting and informative!

  • Did you know that the body has stem cells in many compartments besides just the bone marrow? The bone marrow are the easiest to manipulate or extract but there are stem cells in the dendate gyrus of the brain as well...although you would not want to isolate those :)

  • I have a question.. does this mean we are tampering with nature and trying to be God! I dread to think that man will create babies, body parts etc artificially. No one is supposed to die and no one is supposed to be ill. Its a horror story!

  • that's not what he proposed.

  • are you smoking crack? see i told Tom not to bother putting up videos because people are too dumb to understand them. What a perfect example

  • light house ... i think ur light is dim. i said "i have a question".. and i think it was for cellmedicine. i have the right to ask questions and expect an answer. u keep ur butt to urself and let him do the talking. u are a perfect example a dimwit too

  • ashle - If you want to talk, specifically to cellmedicine, just click on his name at the top of the page. I've spoken to him a number of times, without interruption from others.

    UBB

  • I don't see much wrong with what you said because you said bone marrow stem cells, if you said embriotic stem cells then there would be a real backlash

  • companies and government will only impliment this if it is necessary for you to become a more efficient worker, it will have nothing to do with love but will be fashioned as ingenuity, however keeping you impaired is big business they may already use this technology at the top while we scurry through health insurance crap and standardized medical assistance, med-school is a mind controlled sifting process to create a whitecoat priesthood of robotic false messiahs

  • amen brother..you should listen to the band called "warsaw pack" they sing about the "whitecoat priesthood of robotic false messiahs "

  • this makes me think of the most recent family guy episode where he has a stroke and he gets a shot of stem cells and he comes out of the clinic and asks the guard by the door how long was he in there and the guard says five minutes and Peter goes "why are we not funding this!?"

  • well done. well said. great mind.

  • I like how he says heart attack.

    Howlick Attalik.

  • well thats an issue in itself; to make the world a better place close Israel, stop ethnic cleansing and apatheid in Israel and reinstate Palestine!

  • would you not agree that people of all races get heart failure????????

  • so stem cells are going to fix everything

    whats the mpg

how fast do they make you honest

make the world a better place, not the human body

  • yo i like the video cauz it has a point. the concrete point of how to make the world a better place.

i agree that Tom should not waste he time tryign to educate the world...since the world doesnt listen to genius

  • Indeed, he made this video in like 5 minutes...anyone who can sit down and just go off on issues like this should be supported !! way to go Cellmedicine... c u in Davos

  • Tom ????

    Good for You buddy!!!!

  • wow who would want to be romanian...i would say its more of an Israeli accent

  • i know the guy...he says he is romanian...but that aint no romanian accent !! good content nevertheless

  • What's with the accent?

  • the accent is sexy

  • If we save eveyyone, that is going to die, will we not exacerbate overpopulation? In the next 50 to 100 years, that is going to be the #1 cause of strife, hunger, mental illness, etc. We will become like the rats in those experiments.

  • great idea Maltus...why not ban all medical research ? while we are at it, lets get some nuclear wars going on to decrease the population...ever hear of going to space??? we will colonize space within our livetimes

  • ya, why not try to colonize space? Plenty of room there. As long as we have food and air (greenhouses on ships wouldn't be a bad idea) we can do it. Energy might be a problem.

  • sorry, bad phrasing, I meant "the procedure of".

  • this is ethically not right. we could do all you said and help and research BUT you are still playing God, and that isn't right

  • How can something taken from your own body and injected back into you own body be unethical.

  • honestly its still the concept. it didnt happen naturally, and its only the start, once abortion unfortunately becomes legalized, we will say its ok to use those stem cells also. its all conceptual

  • Nothing that we do happens naturally. We can have a fake heart. Is that natural? We develop and research synthetic medicine and products that are not natural.

And we also have organ donation, what if we have stem cell donation? If you die you can choose to donate your stem cells.

I do kinda agree that its unethical to use fetuses as stem cells BUT they would go to waste. If that could save a person then why not use it to save that person?

  • i presume we should not administer antibiotics because they are not natural either right? let the world starve since new methods of agriculture are not natural either..

  • if it a persons time to go, thats it. this is why overpopulation is such a problem.

  • go and @#$@# yourself cptickid...say that when your loved on or yourself is on the deathbed !!!

  • at that point all you can do is pray.

  • you got it !! ha ha

  • here is a paper describing bone marrow therapy for the heart

yelda et al. Tohoku J Exp Med. 2007 Oct;213(2):113-20

"These results demonstrate that intracoronary stem cell transplantation ameliorates heart failure symptoms and improves left ventricular function and perfusion"

  • wow skatergirl how is that for an obscure journal? either you are from Thoku or you dont read enough

  • go and @#$@ yourself, here i was trying to be helpful and add an intersting paper and you complain that it is not a science or nature paper???

  • well i was just thinking that papers from Lancet such as Strasser H, Marksteiner R, Margreiter E, Pinggera GM, Mitterberger M, Frauscher F, Ulmer H, Fussenegger M, Kofler K, Bartsch G.

Autologous myoblasts and fibroblasts versus collagen for treatment of stress urinary incontinence in women: a randomised controlled trial.

    Lancet. 2007 Jun 30;369(9580):2179-86.

    are more convincing

    i like your passion

  • Then how could an increase in and individual's capacity to heal contribute to the over-all goal of improving the quality of life world wide? can it deal with problems of poverty and war?

  • We thought that healthy people are less likely to start wars and more likely to be more productive, maybe we were wrong?!?!?!

I guess a vague, non-direct answer, like lets plant flowers would have been a better topic, right?

  • hahaha. well stem cell project is excellent. But if we want it to achieve its optimum results to the vast majority of people around the world, maybe we have to consider other aspects like the political, social and economic status which have been influencing the progress in medicine for centuries.

  • you are so right my friend. politics has literally stopped medical research for a thousand years in the dark ages...

  • I like the proposition.

  • blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, listen to me because i am right, you tube is jacked up on silly people having their own little ego trip... please listen to me and confirm that i am correct so as to give my ego a boost because i aint got much apart from my ego, and so the waffle continues... for ever and ever...

  • just like you saying this comment, you require attention, just like the poster. well done on being a hypocritical cretin.

  • Hmmm i take it you are not english! i was fully aware of the irony of what i wrote, this is called having a sense of humour, i apreciate that text cannot portray this, if you read what i wrote properly you would have realised the hypocracy was the joke, at least you did notice it was very hypocritical... are you german or american? all the best

  • Well Stem Cells would probably lead to some good advances in medicine but I don't quite agree with where Stem Cells come from.......dead unborn babies...

  • My Dear Purenathan,

We are talking in this video about using your own stem cells. New medical procedures that harness the body's own healing powers. Hence the controversy...it is difficult to patent these approaches so people are not making them widely applicable.

  • also stem cells come from babies ambilical cord....

  • A potential answer to improving the health of individuals, but for all individuals? Like you said, economically reasonable methods need to be developed; however, an even income distribution will have to be achieved before this is feasible. Unless there is funding from the govn't,only the rich will be able to afford it, increasing the gap between the wealthy and the poor. Improving the health system should def be a priority, but other measures should also be taken to balance the global economy.

  • Excellent! i have always liked the idea of cell research and regenerative medicnines. Keep making the world better!

  • I see that Cellmedicine is at it again, working to promote education and knowledge of scientific advancement in the area of stem cells. But i say...why do you waste your time? no one cares. people like the status quo too much and are too indoctrinated to listen to your ideas

  • yo man you dead on bro...best way to deal with that @#$@ is to abolish it..

  • Sure, stem cell medicine would make the world a better place, but the people your answering to are worried about THEIR economy, not peoples health.

  • Healthcare is a huge factor of the worlds economies, and the condition of man. Do you get health benefits, many people dont? If you pay out of pocket or your company pays for it, you are contributing to the economy.

  • I find it interestign that no one else talks about these "bone marrow" stem cells. Many times I have heard people talking about embryonic stem cells and how stem cells are unethical. WHAT IS UNETHICAL ABOUT a blood transfusion?

  • Tago tago what a good interpretation...wonder what autologous means..i guess your own...i like the videos that these guys put up...hope they win in Davos

  • How can the rulers of the world support an approach that reduces the profit margin? It is better to keep people on steroids to treat symptoms than to cure actual disease. For the profit im saying of course

  • Wow after about a minute my head exploded!

  • yuppers i hear u bro gotta listen to it like 5 times...but its kewl

  • I greet this video as an optimistic step towards advancing knowledge in the area of regenerative medicine. However the true advances will come when small molecule drugs are developed that actually stimulate the body's own stem cells so that the stem cells do not need to be even taken out. Companies such as Fate Therapeutics are tackling this problem.

  • Fate Therapeutics does not even know what compounds they are developing. Why not use the example of Stem Cell Therapeutics (sss.v) who are actually in Phase II of clinical trials using pharmaceutical activators of endogenous stem cells?

  • What is the combination pharmaceutical activator that Stem Cell Therapeutics is using clinically? This is news to me

  • A combination of erythropoietin and chorionic gonadotropin. Apparently this has some effect in the animal models of stroke, so they started to use it clinically. Beautiful idea, two drugs already in use, they just combined the treatment for a third patented product !!

  • This is a video that strongly describes a health care/policy issue that is not properly addressed. Adult stem cells are widely known to have strong positive data however there are not enough incentives for corporations to promote approaches with your own stem cells that are natural. I support this video as one of the best ones for presentation to the world leaders
