im curious did you find it struggled to go up and down any hills? I plan on building a pair of these for my wife and myself to go to some trails but I dont want the thing to have a heart attack on the way up a 30 degree slope. We only weigh about 200 each.
@DreamsMemories it has allot more low end than the china 2 strokes. however it will die out and burn the clutch on steep hills. mind you im 270lbs, you can always put a 55t sprocket or bigger on the rear and it would climb hills like a truck
@bubblerings i rode it on the trails like that all the time. i took it out with my buddies on there mini 90cc dirt bikes and mopeds and i can keep up fine. i have sold this bike long ago though so im not sure about its current state, but i put over 1000kms on the kit before i sold it with no problems
if you want to see more dip mud watch my videos bicycle muddying videos prefer the part 3 that at the end it has a dip spot and part 1 hope you have fun please subscribe
@AdrainAttack3596 im not sure. the engine itself has a gear box reduction inside. its probably somewhere around 1:20 and then it runs to a sprocket on the gearbox which is a 9 tooth and then a 44 tooth on the back wheel. it was a great little motor.
@586guest2 I don't see how that's possible because 7000rpm/20=350*(9/44)*75.36(24in tire circ)=5395inch/min=449.59ft/min=.0851mi/min*60=5.108MPH and I'm pretty sure you got going a lot faster than five miles an hour.
@AdrainAttack3596 haha well i was taking a wild guess, im not really sure of the ratio, but the engine screams at about 50kph so maybe you could work backwards from that? say 50kph@7000rpm
i would love to make one of these but this sucks what i hear about the transmissions, are the transmissions on these bad, why do u need a transmission, i would just run it through the bike itself
@newpage123 they dont mean transmission like in a car, they mean the gearbox, and you need the gearbox otherwise the back sprocket would need to be the size of the tire. my transmission has lasted well over 6000kms so far,
Good video the engine is ok but the transmission bell hear will strip fast i have tried 2 kinds of these no name transmissions and they both strip, check your bell gear often.

Wow, now that it's broken in... do you regularly take this bike out for these trail beatings!?!
I only ask to find out if the kit and motor can take it.
Great job, and great choice!!!
If your recommendation is still that it is a Good buy, I want one!
Thank you for sharing all of your postings.

I like the part at like 1:14 When you just like cross the screen and then immediately come back the other way.
Jw what's the gear ratio on this ride? I see you hit some pretty impressive speeds for using the equivalent of a large weed wacker engine.

@AdrainAttack3596 I'm confused on my math but it must be either 1/3 or 1/6 working backwards.

I find it odd we have both modded the same giant bike, in different ways.
And that you also own a cady... I have a 74.
