This is the way it is supposed NOT to be done! If they fall they may drown under the weight of their backpack. The waistbelt has to be undone and the shoulder straps loosened. Crazy leader!
indeed, that is right. i trained with them to loosen the backpack from the shoulder within a second and rather worked with the stability of a good seated backpack - anyway, i was ready to jump within a second as well :)
