  • DOOM

  • BRB, going back to the 80's and put this stuff in the fight with ganondorf

  • @Tylander22 i was thinking the same exact thing!

  • would be amazing as pokémon nintendo music.

  • @MrsBassleiche Yeah, sounds like it could be at the Elite Four, or something.

  • lol the drums make it sound funny, in a good way.

  • 0:33 lars looks like fred durst or somthin lol

  • why boss music? lets have this epicness as the whole level

  • lol epic bossing music

  • i think i can put this in my Mega Drive

  • sound slike doom

  • haha, sounds like an old gameboy advance with pokemon final theme lolol.

Just to say it like this: BOOSS THEME!! 0:58 LOOOL.

  • A WILD JAMES HETFIELD APPEARD!

  • its like a boss fight in super mario bros.

  • anyone wanna play DOOM? lol.

  • reminds me of fighting with bowser in super mario

  • MEGAMAN GET:

    D. MAGNETIC

  • The one person who didn't like this song is probably Fred.

Remember kids, don't do crack and get your physicals.

  • @Lthall29

WTF Has crack and kids to do about the song?=o

  • nintendo rock band!

  • this would go great with a 8-bit modern warfare

  • METALICA FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Super Metallica...

  • ITS PENDULUM

    or am I confused?

  • cool...

  • its like a metallica game!! lol XD

  • Woulda been awesome to Doom. It's EDM.

  • omg...this is DOOM!!!??

  • @thrashaholico although similar, the music from doom was based on a different metallica song, not this one, as similar as it sounds

  • Super Hetfield! Only super nintendo! Get ur today!

  • remind me first level in doom :)

  • It seems that EVERY program people use to convert this song to 8bit misses a note. A note that is played multiple times:

In between "end of passion play" and "crumbling away" there is a short riff of 6 guitar notes. This riff is played many times in each verse. But EVERY TIME the riff comes up, EVERYONE'S 8bit-converter program misses the last note, without fail

There's actually several other notes that are played wrong, but it would take too long to point them all out

    Also, it's still awesome

  • It all depends on the MIDI program used.

  • @TARINunit9 your right

  • pokemon metallicaized

  • You know what guys? We're making a Metallica video game right now haha. :P

  • that is badass! I would play it!

  • 3:20-3:39 could be game over music or title screen

  • Start sounds like something from Road Rash, then when it gets into it, it sounds like Doom!! :D

  • Doom music ftw : D

  • @LehdaRi

    Lmfao I know right?!

  • xD appears Doom

  • lol castlevania

  • argonnath2,i have tabs of music, from Doom's first level, and im promise you my stupid freind,IT"S NOT COPY AND MASTER OF PUPPETS NOT USE IN GAME!SHITHEAD!!!

  • this sounds more like 8 bit

  • Its 16 bit !

  • @schimpl95

sorry but I'm pretty sure that's 8 bit "The Day That Never Comes-Metallica (16bit cover)" in the related videos IS 16 bit but not this.

  • this is 16-bit

  • the beginning sounds like Doom!!

  • I've always wanted to make 8 bit versions of Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Pantera......and all the other greats and put those audio files in the doom coding on my computer so I can play the game with those guys' songs. Wow....what a run on sentence!

  • well music from doom's first level are copyed from Master of Puppets

  • Wrong. It is based on No Remorse. Listen to it. I've played both riffs on a guitar, and E1M1 has a different organization than MoP. Much closer to No Remorse.

  • This sounds actually cool! I could imagin, even James Hetfield would love it!

  • That would be amazing. :D

  • New Browser's music.

  • it sounds like the old doom song

  • Metapod - Metalpod - Metallicpod - Metallicapod

  • WUT

  • ICWATUDIDTHAR.

  • Muhahahaha

Evil music from Mortal Combat and Contra ahahaha.

    Dendy forever

  • blastoise used hydro pump

    metallica's uses enter sandman

    blastoise is now unforgiven! x]

  • lol wut

  • DOOM much? xD

  • midi

  • midi + Gashisoft = This. Read my older replies.

  • A wild METALLICA appeared!

    Go! Blastoise!

    Metallica used Frantic.

    Its attack rose!

    Blastoise used Hydro Pump

    The attack missed.

    Metallica used Ride the Lightning

    It´s super effective!

    Blastoise fainted.

  • lol

  • Metallica used Seek & Destroy

    It´s a One-hit KO!

    That missed.. XD

  • hahahahahahhahahahahahhaha

    lolololololololololol

    P.S: hahahaha

  • Metallica uses I Disappear, Metallica disappears.

I lol´d so hard when i come out with that xD

  • Thats what she said.

  • lllooolll niicee

  • Game Boy!!!!!! ^^

  • Speaking of Doom, I first heard this song while playing some custom map over ZDaemon a few years ago. (I never thought to use Bittorrent to download discographies, shut up)

Also, you could probably make that Metallica wad using ZDoom's scripting abilities.

Another thing: How is this music 16-bit? It sounds pretty 8-bittish to me. 16-bit would be using a crappy soundfont to render the MIDI file.

  • Where can i find GASHISOFT?

    Love this!!! :D

  • @PapercutAssasin

    Google my friend.

  • the very first part smells like DOOM XD

  • HOLY CRAP THIS IS RAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is epic boss music!!!!

  • so true :D

  • Sounds very alike indeed!

  • Yeah!! :D I immediately thought the same thing :D

  • this is not a true 16bit, if you see some games like the WWF Wrestlemania Arcade the guitar sound looks like a original guitar, Spiderman, X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, SSF2: The New Challengers, Mortal Kombat 3 all this games have a soundtrack that looks like real guitars, basses, Drums, Piano etc...

  • please see my older comments.

  • VENUSUAR GO!

  • ---it feels like an old pokemon game in the beggining. like a fight...pretty funny. nice video dude!

  • I love the lameness of the drums! True 16-bit style!

  • He meant this sounds like from a 16-bit era game, e.g. on the SNES.

  • Not even remotely. Have you ever heard music from a Super Nintendo game? Go listen to something from Chrono Trigger, Super Castlevania IV, Supre Metroid or Mega Man X and tell me that this sounds like that.

This is more like a bastardized 8-bit version.

  • 6:08

    Epic dump face!!!

    XD

  • WHILE playing the bass!

    *that takes skill...*

  • this makes me want to go out and fire up my snes and shoot some gimps DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

its just too bad this did feature in doom 3 at some point would have been a great parody

  • Ever heard if a program called "Guitar Pro"

Who's converting the original sound to this "16 - 8" BIT sound or what ure calling it. cant see anything special but this to be honest.

  • Yes. I know exactly what Guitar Pro is. It's what makes it into the MIDI file, which is what I took and put into Gashisoft.

  • In response to the comments about this sounding like something from Doom, well... you're right. Bobby Prince "covered" several metal songs for Doom and Doom II.

Anyhoo, nice mix you got here, lolerz.

  • the beginning sounds exactly like the 1st level of doom

  • Hahaha yeah that's what I thought as well, then scrolled down and saw your message.

  • Metallica FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • old fashion MIDI tracks...LOVE it....

  • at some parts the "singing" was just a high pitched beeb. really good job otherwise though.

  • Yeah, I noticed that too. Annoying as hell.

  • First things that come to mind DOOM 1 and Tetris i didnt think it was posible but u combined all my favoruit things METALLICA DOOM AND TETRIS I LOVE IT

  • THIS IS 16-BIT NOT 8-BIT !!!

  • I was thinking the same thing... Sounds almost identical and I have ALWAYS thought the same thing, ever since I was little.

  • This is some epic shit! Great work!

  • It kind of sounds like Bowser castle music.

  • Bowser is replaced with Bob Rock XD

  • thats just awesome!!!!!! that does sound like it would be on a video game

  • is it just me or does the start kind of remind u off a pokemon battle :D

  • I totally does! XD

  • Up to the first min sounds like something out of pokemon red/blue, lol.

  • classic

  • I'm playing sega genisis AND listening to metallica!

  • ya doom

  • Yes. Doom seems to be the famous one here. Someone should find a way to put this and other Metallica songs in place of the other music (although doom's original music is badass too.) We can rename it Doom - Metallica. You can choose to be James, Lars, Kirk, or Rob. If you beat the game on easy you unlock Jason. If you beat it on Hardest you Unlock Cliff. Ron McGovney isn't important enough to be in the game. And the final boss of the game is Bob Rock for fucking up Metallica a little. TEH EDN.

  • Oh and Bob Rock's sub boss is Dave Mustaine XD

  • DOOM! ==D=D=D=D

  • DOOM

  • LARS

    used ST. ANGER

    It's not very effective...

  • Next move: Use shitty but somehow cool drum sounds.

  • kirk Hammet uses "ride the lightning" ..... it's super effective!!!

  • im thinking of playing it in a megaman gameXD

  • A wild James hetfield appears!

  • fucking lol

  • imagine playing mario with that background music

  • It would fit sonic better,

  • sounds like the music of the old game "doom"... :D

  • Was thinking exactly the same thing!

  • i see what you meen ^^ i can imagin this on doom when your fighting the last boss or something. but i thought of mario and bowser first ^^ duno why XD

  • Sounds like the music of a level of Contra..LOL

  • lol fuckin awesome

  • this is music where you can hardcore dance to xD

  • sounds like Doom

  • yeah it sounds like e1m1 (the first level)

  • Probably because e1m1 is based off this song. All the tracks from Doom are based on famous metal tracks.

  • no remorse...

  • i dont know why.. but this reminds me of Super mario fighting Bowser, in the old games :D

  • that would be some awesome if you come to bowser castle and their would come this music!

  • holy shit it does!

  • haha this is so awesome!!

Now I want to ride down Hollywood Blvd. blasting this:]]

    Great song:]]

  • i like it

  • mario paint!

  • Not Mario Paint.

  • I know but it sounds kinda like mario paint

  • imagining........

  • imagine walking into bowser's castle in a mario game and sudenley this came on...

  • lol it would be awesome if this was on the nes for mario games

  • some of the fake guitar heros (cheap copies made in china) had master of puppets in them and THIS SOUNDS EXACTLY as you can hear them in those pieces of crap (if my english is bad, sorry)

  • haha. Your English is quite good. Thanks for the comment, and I'll have to look up these Chinese copies...thanks for telling me about them :D

  • haha mint!

  • lol nice

  • If you read some earlier comments you'll see why I called it 16-bit

  • Sounds liek a badass legendary pokemon battle.

  • Against James Hetfield....LOL

  • I choose you, The Thing That Should Not Be!!!

  • Use Dark Deception and Kill the Light!

  • Use 57878 minute solo and sick double pedals!

  • James Hetfield uses Fade to Black. It's super effective!

  • YES SO TRUE, This is going in my modd

  • the first pic looks tight

  • I know! Thanks for the comment, I love Google lol

  • This reminds me a whole lot of Doom. The style, when done 16-bit, is so close. If you haven't heard any Doom music just go look for Robert Prince (he also made the music for Duke Nukem).

  • damn lol. I accidentally keep removing comments, because I go to reply to them but whenever it's your video, you have more options...so If I DO accidentally delete your comment...It's nothing personal...Unless your a bitch

  • FUCK YEAHHH. haha this reminded em of POKEMON!! just awesome man, aweosme!

  • Thanks! i hope this video gets to be more famous...It's working it's way up

  • This is 8 bit at best. 16-bit tune out the boop&bop noise and adds something that kinda progressive.

  • Yeah I can see where it is 8-bit. Just thought it was too complex to seem 8-bit and more people would say "there is no way this is 8 bit"

  • awesome.

  • have did you get the songs in to MID file

  • If you just go on to google and type in the name of the song, then just put MIDI at the end of it, you will most likely find it.

  • Just imagine playing super mario at 5 years old and hearing this shit you would be having it stuck in your head during nap time...

  • lol that would be hilarious. Imagine yourself at 16...hello metal head

  • i like it a lot

  • This should be in Rock 'N roll Racing video game, it would be soul ripper ;d

  • This is 8-bit The gameboy sound is 8-bit

16-bit is like sonic the hedgehog and megadrive music.

  • I guess you could say that...but I thought it sounded A bit too complex to sound like it came from a gameboy lol

  • Have you never played pokemon? I know its old but its got nice tunes on the gameboy!
