I downloaded PMD Editor, but ti says I need DirectX3D 9. I downloaded it but it still says I need it. AND, whenever I open up the program, there are no words, just boxes....

For boxes: You need your system locale to be Japanese. Go to your control panel > Regional blah > Advanced. Language for non-unicode shiz must be set to Japanese. If you are using XP, it might not be there. So you'll need to go to Languages instead, choose the install East Asian languages; it will ask for your XP CD thing. Repeat the above.

For first problem, I have never encountered that. ;n; Make sure you have .NET framework 2+. If you are using the newest versions (0.0.6.x), you need SlimDX and most likely an updated .NET framework. (I don't use the newer versions and am clueless about it.)

hey anyone know how to DELETE somthing on a model (in my case a hat)

On PMDEditor, just open the view window [open drop down (V) go to first option (S)]

On view window, go to (V) then open (W). Click on third circle. now you can check boxes. These are for knowing what part you are selecting. (you may want to double click on the view window or go to (V) again then (S) to open another window with check boxes things. check the one in the mid of the already-checked ones.) so ... (cont).

So. now you have your checked boxes for the part you want to delete! (in your case, a hat) right click on that line to open some options... Choose (P) click yes. tada.
