Right, when people say teh German soldiers were better squipped and better trained yet the Russian conscripts were badly trained and armed they're being... well subjects to exaggerated facts in history books to make differenciation between the side easier.

While the German weapons were good, the Russian weapons can still kill, and co can a Russian conscript, no matter how badly trained. They just need to know how to aim a weapon and how to pull the trigger.

You forget something... the Russian Winter, that was what really kept Operation Barbarossa back. The Germans military pushed the Red Army back to within sight of Moscow. Then the winter set in and the Russians could fight better in it, that began the slow defeat of the wehrmacht on the eastern front.

Have you ever seen the winter on germany? I assure you, it fucking freezes too. It can be below -30. They knew what was winter. They lost a war because of the soviet soldiers that kept fighting even when there was no more food and some of them started to eat their leather clothing, not because of snow

German Army was not prepared for the winter. They probably knew what the winter was gonna be like, but they didn't have the supplies to keep themselves warm (or fed for that matter) Add to that the fact that the Russians kept thowing conscripts at them (plus some people who actually knew how to shoot) and it turned into a complete clusterfuck for the Nazis.

well the only people allowed to curse at Stalin are the Soviets imo. Cause these the are the only people who suffered from him. Yeah, but he saved the asses because the Germans attacked him. He originally signed a pact with indicating a ceasefire. If Hitler did not break it, Stalin would not defeat Germany.

Stalin made the packt only because his troops were not ready for war yet. He would attack Nazis sooner or later Hitler knew this and made the first move. It was a wrong move thinking he could attack Russia before it exccelled. He forgot Russians fight better in shittier conditions.
