In love with British classics...I just hate the idea (esp Hollywood!!!) changing the classical stories into modern time settings (like Romeo + Juliet, and the Great Expectations starring Gwyneth Paltrow)

As it's a three-part miniseries, there's no excuse for cutting out the bulk the first graveyard encounter -- one of the best scenes in the book. But it's beautiful visually, and I like the kid. Fingers crossed.

In this case, since Pip has been given chances to succeed and (**spoiler alert**) will great a great inheritance, there are now people how have 'great expectations' for him.
