I wish the music didn't sound sooo produced. It almost sounds like a back track of the original recording, and her more mature voice over a dated sound. I think if it were to have been a bit more raw it might've been more powerful.

It's just my opinion, but Olivia Newton John is many magnitudes of measurement higher at her worst than is American Idol at its best. She's aged gracefully, she's a wonderful singer, and this song is a musical creation the likes of which American Idol contestants and contest winners alike can only distantly and remotely hope to rival.
That would be difficult to perform by yourself on a stage that big for an audience that large, especially with a subtle song like this one, but she totally pulls it off.

Don't go presuming to know anything about how I was raised. The best parenting can result in poorly behaved adults, and vice-versa. IF you weren't such a know-it-all you might recognize that before throwing around "facts."
Say whatever you want, I have read numerous medical Journal articles that have looked at how people turn out after being raised in an environment wher certain things are considered ok. And what most studies published to date show, is that people who are raised in an environment where the use of derogatory language is ok, tend to not only use derogeratory language and if they have children those kids think it is ok as well.

The only thing I will say with regard to this comment is that the way a person talks and the language they use says more about them than u would believe. Personally, I would never even think about talking like that especially in an open forum anyone can read. In my professional life, I have known people who have lost extremely well paying positions and endorsement deals for saying way less than what u have said and for using language that dosen't even come close to the language u have used.

I was not implying that you were going to lose your job over the use of crude language, and I'm not worried about the kids either. I just don't think that any kind of language like the type used earlier should be used by professional people. We owe it to ourselves and those that love us to refrain from that type of language otherwise, other people start using it and then it becomes acceptable. And, we as professionals and role models should strive to make sure that we are better than that.

Two things, I purposely used the word gauntlet because one of the definitions of gauntlet is, "an open challenge" according to Merriam-Webster. Say whatever you want, I have read numerous medical Journal articles that have looked at how people turn out after being raised in an environment wher certain things are considered ok. And what most studies published to date show, is that people who are raised in an environment where the use of derogatory language is ok, tend to not only use derogeratory language and if they have children those kids think it is ok as well.
