They should stop doing this lets send random jackasses back in time which has already been done to death, and focus on the future war which is clearly the more creative thing to do. Lets just hope terminator 4 does what they say it will, and focus on the future.

Why should John's protector Terminator be a girl? Why shouldn't it? It damn sure draws less attention than if a guy who looks like a former Mr. Olympia is following him around. Cameron can pass for John's sister or girlfriend. She's a Terminator...she doesn't have to be massive or intimidating looking to be dangerous.

In fact, for the original purposes of a Terminator, Cameron is better designed than the Arnold models. They are infiltration units. Personally I'd keep more of an eye on the big huge intimidating guy than the cute girl. Well, ok, I'd keep an eye on the cute girl, but not for the same reasons.

About the classroom scene: When the hell has a Terminator EVER attempted to "maintain cover" when his objective/target was in sight? Answer: never. Their cover is minimal at best, and readily thrown to the side when they first have the opportunity to engage their target.

In T1, a T-800 failed to kill Sarah. In T2, a T-1000 failed to kill John. In T3, a TX failed to kill Kate. In T3's backstory, a T-850 killed future John. Sounds to me like the only goddamn Terminator model worth a damn in the series so far is the T-850.

I am mostly likely the hardest core old school T1/T2 fan here and I say the new show is very good. A huge task. Hopefully it won't get canceled because original fans are too short sighted to give it a chance.

Hey TJ, I may not agree with your views but to be honest mate I'm not going to rip into you either because you back your views up with reasons why.

I to started with T1 (though I saw it at 6 years old in 1990 thanks to my father - scared the shit outta me) saw T2 got T3 a few years back. I can see how they got where they did and I enjoyed it as a film but hated how it fucked over the last 30 mins of T2 (probably the most emotional piece in an action film) - Cont

The Sarah Connor Chronicles as far as i'm aware is supposed to bridge the gap between 2 & 3 (though i don't know how ... yet) The casting looks wierd as you've said but im enjoying it as a stand alone piece. I'll agree on how theyve fucked up the way Sarah Conor looks, just not right and as for john well yeah.

I bet jim is ow really pissed he sold the rights to the Terminator, lets just hope the future war trilogy is better and works well. Hopefully if they dont reference 3 we can forget it!

And why do the terminator characters have to overact that much? I mean Schwarzenegger did that excellent. He found the golden middle between acting (moving) like he is a machine and acting like a human. In the series they let their eyes glow, the terminator guy moves like robocop.

What do you expect from a Terminator!? Do you want a sneak attack from behing? First he is a sunstitute teacher. Second of all the Terminator is not supposed to care about blowing his cover its a Terminator. It has one mission and one mission only seek and destroy, it doesnt care about his cover being blown, it only cares about his mission.

The only things i found wrong about the classroom shooting scene were the fact that he had the gun in his leg and that he made the lame joke. Political correctness has got to stop. People are raped, murdered and beaten everyday, so now we have to not have anything like that in any form of film or tv?

By time Termintator 5 rolls around enough time should have passed to show something like that. Otherwise, once a terrible event happens no one would ever be able to show anything even remotely close to it on film or tv ever. Hmm, how do you judge when it isn't offensive? Tj, as a screenwriter I have to concur with Riyokintyu, but everything else you've conveyed I wholeheartedly agree with. (Even children's TV is offensive to someone. Violence of any form, is, off the bat, offensive.)

This show, shouldn't even involve a single terminator. It should be about Sarah and John being on the run, trying to evade law enforcement, whilst focusing primarily on character development.
