It is very clear what happened. 500 Cook fans voted 25-30,000 times each. Do the math - that is 12 million. A bunch were bragging the next day. You would think that all those votes from one number wouldn't be possible but it was. Even though David Cook actually won, he really didn't. We all know who really won.
I have a theory why David A. didn't win--a large # of David A's fans were under 16--the phone lines didn't open until 9pm, and they stayed open until 1am. There's no way that parents would let their 10, 11 and 12 year olds stay up that late continuing to vote. At the time, I was 46 years old ... I voted 1,500 times (no lie!) for David A., and it took me close to 3.5 hours. I finished at 12:30pm. Think of all the college kids and 20-somethings who were pulling for Cook. They voted more for him.
Yes, David Archuleta won round #1, #2, #3, ALL THREE rounds, was declared the best singer of season 7, 2008. That alarmed the AI prods/excs, control to make the other David the winner took hold. They continue to use control by placement of Archuleta's videos thru YouTube, to make Cook appear the winner with higher views. Archie still popular. Are their egos fragile, they have to prop Cook up, next to low view videos of Archuleta? Power to control to stroke egos took Fair/Honesty out the window
@marilou1130, because they wanted David A. to be the runner-up. It was cut and dried. It also happened to Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry, Adam L. and David A. But you know the facts that all those runner-ups are more populair then the winner. Does it us something????? David believes in God so much that's why his fans are most loyal fans. They will support David in thick and thin, and they will always love David A. as love as can be.
