Amazing camera work and the opening scene is whimsical. I found the production quite entertaining. Why can't we get this kind of entertainment on the telivision?!
This could be next next craze.... like the "Freeze" stunts around the world. We could have a thousand Grannies in trafalga square that on que burst into some magnificent coriografied dance routine and then just dissappear into the crowd. Excellent
Scary! Looks like you found the cast of Michael Jacksons thriller walking about up there in Newcastle!.. By the way... did you get copyright permission from the composer?
OH MAN, I LOVE wrinklies doing neat things! Actually older folks having dignity and fun. It ain't all about baby cakes ruling the universe. Classical music can be SO dentedly
b o r i n g ..... but there are a few pcs that are worth it and you got it manzo, NICE
wow that's nice! it's really rare to see people move freely and dance in the streets - and not just marching one by one - nice video! beautiful minds! (btw: if you can't dance freely, you're simply not free!)
Actually it's prokofiev. It's called the Dance of the Knights. Tchaikovsky did write a score for R+J but very few companies use it although the love theme has been used in scores of films. :)
Ok, am trying to find this music but cannot find this particular piece. Can you tell me who arranged it and who performed it? I know you said Romeo and Juliet but from which scene, etc?
It's the part of the ballet where they have the party, and Rome has snuck in, the music is the backgroun for the ocurt dance...It's called enter (something)...
Fantastic! I'm so glad I found this. What a treat. Thanks for celebrating the grace and beauty that only comes with age. I'll share it with my loved ones.
Thank you for taking the time to make me aware of this video. I have a friend who has a dance website and I am going to send this video link to her because she loves everything to do with dance. Her mother was my dearest friend and she loved music in all its forms and I know, if we could, all of us would join in the dance. thx
I've seen this vid a few times, and thought there are vids with older people on, this one is really diff and i htink has wide appeal, people seem to like it, I can't see why it hasn't been featured yet...
Thanks for sharing this. I think it says a lot that they all seemed to enjoy dancing in public for the camera like this. Before we know it we're swallowed up by age. And yet our youthful self still lurks inside us. Your film reveals something truly beautiful.
thaks fro comment, checked out link, it's very imaginative and I urge people to go see your above link. Thanks if you do pass on link, it would be great for the people involved if lots of people come and viewed as they were very brave to do this in the streets...
Great. I really appreciated the age demographic of the dancers and the shot of the two spinning individually (arms in 1st) and then together. The editing there was very cool. I'm gonna watch some more.
well the people in the film really did it, we helped them find their form... if you could let peolple knwo about it, would be great..thanks for the comment
Quite simply: A perfect video. antnhec at top form.
Coming out of the dance into natural walking is not easy to do and its done here without error; its one example of how well this video is made.
