  • Quite simply: A perfect video. antnhec at top form.

Coming out of the dance into natural walking is not easy to do and its done here without error; its one example of how well this video is made.

  • Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed it.

  • Thanks for sharing. rReally enjoyed it.

  • Nice idea

  • That couple in the wheelchairs, bless 'em!

FYI: The music is composed by Sergei Prokofiev

  • thanks for sharing this!!!!!

  • Absolutely wonderful!!!!

  • Love it! And congratulations to all those who took part - nice moves!

  • yessss!! ballet should never be constraint to the theatres!!! hahaha

  • except in this case ...

... and then to some closet way, way in the back of that theatre

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! Five big stars! *****

  • Excellent.

The music made me scared lol

Seriously tho, it was very dramatic music, and went well with the video.

    5 Stars.

  • What a riot!

  • Excellent! Really enjoyed the video - it was really entertaining and made ballet look fun!

  • This is absolutely lovely! Five stars very well deserved! And congratulations to the Corps de Ballet :-)

  • Bravo! Really enjoyed this one!

  • Amazing camera work and the opening scene is whimsical. I found the production quite entertaining. Why can't we get this kind of entertainment on the telivision?!

  • love it!

  • Wonderful!

  • Very nice!

  • This could be next next craze.... like the "Freeze" stunts around the world. We could have a thousand Grannies in trafalga square that on que burst into some magnificent coriografied dance routine and then just dissappear into the crowd. Excellent

  • Scary! Looks like you found the cast of Michael Jacksons thriller walking about up there in Newcastle!.. By the way... did you get copyright permission from the composer?

  • Excellent, thanks for posting it to me ; )

You should put it into a competition!

    All the best

    Steve

  • OH MAN, I LOVE wrinklies doing neat things! Actually older folks having dignity and fun. It ain't all about baby cakes ruling the universe. Classical music can be SO dentedly

b o r i n g ..... but there are a few pcs that are worth it and you got it manzo, NICE

  • This is such an amazing video! What a beautiful idea!

  • This is absolutely fantastic! Bravo!

  • wow that's nice! it's really rare to see people move freely and dance in the streets - and not just marching one by one - nice video! beautiful minds! (btw: if you can't dance freely, you're simply not free!)

  • Wow..nice!!!

  • What program u use for that? its great

  • Absolutely beautiful. I am proud to accept this video as a response to my little effort. Thank You.

  • Actually it's prokofiev. It's called the Dance of the Knights. Tchaikovsky did write a score for R+J but very few companies use it although the love theme has been used in scores of films. :)

  • very nice indeed. thank you!

  • The video is great! I love the music. Can someone reply as to what the music is from.

  • prokofiev romeo and juliet..thanks for nice comment

  • Thank you so much! I love it! Great film too!

  • Ok, am trying to find this music but cannot find this particular piece. Can you tell me who arranged it and who performed it? I know you said Romeo and Juliet but from which scene, etc?

    Thanks

  • It's the part of the ballet where they have the party, and Rome has snuck in, the music is the backgroun for the ocurt dance...It's called enter (something)...

  • music is by tchaikovsky

  • This is really cool. It's funny, you can tell who is or has been a dancer in their life by the way they execute the movements.

  • I'm so pleased I found this....just beautiful.

  • Fantastic! I'm so glad I found this. What a treat. Thanks for celebrating the grace and beauty that only comes with age. I'll share it with my loved ones.

  • this is great, would be brill if more people saw it and realised the poeential in all of us no matter what the age

  • Something about this is so lovely. Thank you for making it.

  • very interisting!!!

  • hahaha.. lovely. :).

  • That was excellent! 5 stars!

  • Thank you for taking the time to make me aware of this video. I have a friend who has a dance website and I am going to send this video link to her because she loves everything to do with dance. Her mother was my dearest friend and she loved music in all its forms and I know, if we could, all of us would join in the dance. thx

  • nice

  • Brilliant, i love it!

  • This was the exact same music for my ballet class. Mmm... the memories....

  • Most Glorious video plus the great Prokofiev, many many thanks.

  • I've seen this vid a few times, and thought there are vids with older people on, this one is really diff and i htink has wide appeal, people seem to like it, I can't see why it hasn't been featured yet...

  • Charming video, charming people! I loved it! thanks!!!

  • Thanks for sharing this. I think it says a lot that they all seemed to enjoy dancing in public for the camera like this. Before we know it we're swallowed up by age. And yet our youthful self still lurks inside us. Your film reveals something truly beautiful.

  • I agree. One of the lovely things about getting older is the gradual loosening of ego and the rediscovered fun of just playing.

  • well done.

  • thats so cool.

  • great video nice job

  • Wow, in the US, you would have to PAY people to do that.

  • how did you get that many old people to dance in the middle of Newcastle? any way sweet as man. SWEET AS.

    that's AWESOME.

    and brilliant. <3

seems quiet, was it early or late?

  • It was mid-day, but I think we scared people away

  • Nice work, you obviously dont live in America hehe no one in the streets would do this, great job.
