  • how does this compare to traktor pro 2?

  • YOU MEAN THIS AN UPTADE M-Audio TORG 2 SOFTWARE PROGRAM RIGHT

  • Avid have really stepped up their game with Torq 2.0 - I've been roadtesting it for the last month or so and it's a major improvement to 1.5 - very stable, it looks great and works a treat. Will be playing with it at Ministry of Sound this friday :)

  • ...Good. Now update the Xponent!

  • what laptop u think hes using

  • @djbobbyjam - Hp Envy 17 with Beats Audio

  • i don't get why everyone keeps saying the GUI is ugly. as an owner of Traktor Scratch, Serato Scratch Live, and now Torq (not to mention Final Scratch, and tester for Mixvibes) i've seen a lot of DVS systems....and i can honestly say it's not a bad looking interface. i'll admit it could use some more color separation but it looks better than SSL by far. toss in the fact that it's completely custom skinnable, it's not even an issue worth pointing out.

  • I've tested Torq 2 which is a real technological upgrade !

I've been using Torq 1.5 for 2 years with an Xponent and I wouldn't exchange this configuration for any other one but with Torq 2.

I never get why a part of the DJ community was that agressive toward Torq and the Xponent.

OK the look of it is not the most beautiful but in term of efficiency, ease to use and inovation , it's fantastic.

with Torq 2 , it goes to another level up.

  • TORQ did not work it's bugs correctly. Still crashes! That's why the DJ community is harsh with AVID and Torq. They have great ideas but I don't trust it 100% when I'm playing in a club.

  • Torq 2 Little 2 Late, I think. It was so cutting edge when Torq first came out, but M-Audio really dropped the ball on staying ahead of the competition with updates. As a result, even Ableton jumped ship.

I know that the demand from the general DJ market wasn't there, but Torq could have been the platform for the rest of us that were ready to push the creativity envelope.

I guess I'll buy the 2.0 update, but I'm not holding my breath, after 1.5 left a bad taste in my mouth. Hope I'm wrong.

  • torq aahh my first dvs still use it and its bpm detection is more accurate than traktor but cant wait to see NI's update

  • My favourite feature is that Torq is now completely skinnable - so if I don't like the standard interface I can just make my own, with only the controls I need.

Anyway, check out the preview/demo - it's still a beta - but gives a good idea of what's coming soon. Loving Torq 2.0 compared to 1.5!

  • @wrosenbl12 Agreed. Im usually function over form... But its just not appealing to the eyes.

  • Download the software, installed it, and started it up for the 1st time on my iMac running Leopard 10.5.8 and BAM!... nothing. Tried a second time and BAM! nothing but a 'Torq Engine Warning' message saying "Torq GUI process does not respond. Please be patient..." Well, my time lapse is 15m 34s and counting..

I've been dealing with torq since it's creation. Love M-Audio the customer support, hate the product. It should just work.

Come on Avid. I'm glad my Ferrari don't break down this often.

  • the UI looks really confusing/messy : /

  • @Persianbmw94 It's a little full, that's true. But it's definitely not messy. Just logical. But you can hide what you do not need.

I'm using Torq now for about 3 years at home and at my gigs. It's stabil and works very good. I like alot. And I like it, that it#s going to be updatet!
