Motley puts effort into satisfying their fans LIVE, which they quite clearly do. Ive seen cicuses with less!!! Ya they write their songs to be catchy, while still sounding sleazy and gritty, pretty delicate balance. Their lyrics have always had meaning as to wheare their headspace was, read up on Nikki Sixx!!!

No problem at all, don't sweat it. You're right, partying does get very old. I honestly think that Motley just puts their focus into writing the music, and lyrics are not as much of a priority. However, I do think they put a lot of effort into writing choruses....not for substance, but for melody and making sure it fits like a glove into the rest of the song...catchy is the name of the game with them, I think. That's a big part of what attracts a Crue fan to their music.

Actually, I have plenty. I have a college degree, and I don't do any drugs (anymore haha). I don't think the type of music you listen to has anything to do with an individual having "substance or wisdom." I listen to Motley Crue for the MUSIC, NOT for the lyrics. If I wanted to listen to music with deep, meaningful lyrics, I'd probably be listening to rap. Nobody listens to Motley for the lyrics. I play 2 instruments and I enjoy Crue's fun songs, it's really as simple as that.
