Which means it'll be Johnson and Routt this year. I think the Raiders will eb better for it. Routt generates more interceptiosn because people actually throw at him and he takes some of them to the house, so does Johnson. I have to say though, I'll miss Asomugha dearly. :(

If he's running a go or a fly route, then you turn and go with him, that's the point of the turn, it's when he breaks your cushion, not when he makes a cut for his route. If he's doing a go, you are meant to turn and go with him for that deeper ball.

Wow Nnamdi is really the best CB out there. He's so sound when it comes to stopping that ball from getting to the reciever's hands. Look at 0:36, most DBs would risk that play and go for the pick while nnamdi easily bats it down.

also,when your a corner knows he has no safety help(cover 0 or cover 1 with safety shaded to other side of the field), i would suggest playing press man to man coverage so you can jam the WR and slow him down. chances are in cover 0, there is a blitz to force the QB to get rid of the ball quickly however, if you are playing off coverage in cover 0, you are susceptible to stop and go routes especially if you like to gamble like dominic rodgers cromartie.
when playing man to man(press or off),key thing to remember is what type of coverage,cover 2,cover 1 or cover 0.with cover 2,you definitely have safety help deep so you can jump the short routes,meaning you can probably play in press coverage.with cover 1,you may or may not get the safety so its best to play halfway(3-4 yards off the LOS).keep in mind if you don't have the safety help,you should probably not jump routes.cover 0, no safety, do not wait to open your hips so you don't get beat deep

If you open your hips on time, the receiver can run a slant or an out, but you will still be in position to break once your hips are turned. If you are playing cover 1 turn your hips toward the sideline when opening as long as you keep your outside leverage. If you are playing cover 0, backpedal stem with the receiver maintaining your inside leverage and cushion until he commits to a slant or an out, because you have no safety help.
Nnamdi Asomugha for sure. just think of all the top corners in the league and look at their pass rushing or overall defensive talent. the jets had the #1 overall defense and the eagles are always top 5 or 10. I dont understand why they dont utilize Nnamdi's full potential nobody is saying he is a bust Nnamdi no doubt is a Top 5 CB in the league nobody can argue with that. But Revis loves the challenge of taking on the best WR's. People say QB's dont throw towards Nnamdi yeah thats true cause hes not covering the best WR on the field.
Just look at the WR's hes guarding the Defensive Coordinator doesnt have him guarding the best WR's hes defending #2 & 3rd WR's its not his fault its coaching.
Nnam is by far the best CB in the league. Look at the film, & see what side QB's favor with Nnam across from them. You know they're going to do what ever possible not to throw Asomugha's way.
Only use this technique in cover 1 or man 2, if in cover O - break on the up field shoulder instead of underneath, because if you don't have great recover speed the stop and go will kill you. Also, in cover 1 if you have a slow safety or one who doesn't have your back often their diving over the d-line on play action - break on the up field shoulder in case of stop-n-go routes. Hell just use this technique in man cover 2.

If he's running a go or a fly route, then you turn and go with him, that's the point of the turn, it's when he breaks your cushion, not when he makes a cut for his route. If he's doing a go, you are meant to turn and go with him for that deeper ball.

This past year alone only 10 completed passes against and 30 attempts thrown his way. cant get more shut down than that. QBs fear him and have to revise their offensive gameplan because of him. Hence the Pro Bowl Achievement. And he has excellent qualities not only on the field but off the field also. Total Package NFL Player.

Wow Nnamdi is really the best CB out there. He's so sound when it comes to stopping that ball from getting to the reciever's hands. Look at 0:36, most DBs would risk that play and go for the pick while nnamdi easily bats it down.

also,when your a corner knows he has no safety help(cover 0 or cover 1 with safety shaded to other side of the field), i would suggest playing press man to man coverage so you can jam the WR and slow him down. chances are in cover 0, there is a blitz to force the QB to get rid of the ball quickly however, if you are playing off coverage in cover 0, you are susceptible to stop and go routes especially if you like to gamble like dominic rodgers cromartie.

when playing man to man(press or off),key thing to remember is what type of coverage,cover 2,cover 1 or cover 0.with cover 2,you definitely have safety help deep so you can jump the short routes,meaning you can probably play in press coverage.with cover 1,you may or may not get the safety so its best to play halfway(3-4 yards off the LOS).keep in mind if you don't have the safety help,you should probably not jump routes.cover 0, no safety, do not wait to open your hips so you don't get beat deep

If you open your hips on time, the receiver can run a slant or an out, but you will still be in position to break once your hips are turned. If you are playing cover 1 turn your hips toward the sideline when opening as long as you keep your outside leverage. If you are playing cover 0, backpedal stem with the receiver maintaining your inside leverage and cushion until he commits to a slant or an out, because you have no safety help.

Nnamdi Asomugha for sure. just think of all the top corners in the league and look at their pass rushing or overall defensive talent. the jets had the #1 overall defense and the eagles are always top 5 or 10. Bailey has a nice pass rush in denver and woodson had a top 5 defense in the league. now look at what Asomugha has to work with and QB's still won't throw anywhere near him. That's respest tight there. put him on any of the other teams in the league and everyone would be talking about him

Revis got smoked by Tedd Ginn, and Nnamdi gave up a TD to Jackson in week 1 and Bowe in week 11, one of the 6 catches he gave up against Bowe that week. the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest, the LEAGUE has little to do with who plays in the Pro Bowl. u cant just a corner by picks and sacks like other positions u have to look at things lik qb rating when balls are thrown a corners direction. QBs had a QB rating of 35 when throwin to revis leading the league. i put woodson just under revis. and asante samuel probably has the zone in the league. so my rankings are.

Only use this technique in cover 1 or man 2, if in cover O - break on the up field shoulder instead of underneath, because if you don't have great recover speed the stop and go will kill you. Also, in cover 1 if you have a slow safety or one who doesn't have your back often their diving over the d-line on play action - break on the up field shoulder in case of stop-n-go routes. Hell just use this technique in man cover 2.
