Oh poo with knobs on to all you stick in the mud, would be organists. This lad is giving it all from his heart and mind which is what music is all bout. Critics are a dime a dozen but few have the balls to put it where it counts, out on the line . This guy is having fun and making music while you sit and nit pick.I've been playing organ and piano way too long now and I love to hear a fresh approach and interpretation and if that sticks in your starched collars and whale boned corsets so be it.
make sure you give all the 16th's the same value. Some of them seem rushed. Also, I would suggest replacing some of the 8 foots on the pedal with 16 foots. Also, stricter tempo because in Bach's time, there was a very, very strict tempo. But you're getting it! Good job, and a great piece. One of my favorites.
I learnt to play on this organ under Michael English, when I was head choir boy at St Georges. It is a stunning instrument. Glad to hear it's still sounding grand. I used to play this piece as well....though rather quicker and with many more mistakes!
Thanks, I've been given the same advice from a few people already :p. I'm hoping to re-record it soon though, and post up a better version, so keep an eye out. Thanks for the feedback. :)
I prefer this piece played at this speed. Many organists play it at breakneck tempo for some reason.

I love a fast tempo, and this prelude can be played BIG.

Despite the irregular tempi a few places. I love the tempo. Most organists play this piece way too fast. Thanks for not playing it that way.

very clean playing! But the tempo is a bit slow and irregular! But it is never the less there!
