oh my god, they are sooo cute! reminds me of my bird, he died a few years ago, and he was the bossiest bitch in the house! soo adorable, and truly a part of the family, it's amzing how an animal with such a small brain can exhibit such a strong personality XD.

I've never since seen a bird that looked like him, he was really speciel, spectacular icy blue!

My parakeet who is currently ill (took him to vet and got more medication though) is in a smaller cage right now with a heating pad while he's recovering. I am going to play this clip a lot, and make a bird music playlist for him on here so while I'm gone, he can listen. I think he really enjoys listening to this. :)

how do u keep him from flying around like crazy? without clippign their wings? also how long does it take to teach a budgie to speak-wht bout 2 budgies?

@nicollettePerfect Without clipping their wings, you really can't. I'm not sure about budgie training in that area. Teaching them to speak is easier with only one, because you can focus more attention on it. Some budgies never learn to speak, others pick it up quickly, sort of like humans. Just be patient with it and try your best, patience is key.

Hi, the room is just for the birds, if you watch my other videos you can see the whole room. It makes the birds lives so much better than just sitting in a cage with nothing to do. They have a good time and are very happy.

I've been asked to give a home to two male budgies, brothers, who are 4 years old. I really dont know what to expect because I don't know the history. Has anyone else taken an older bird? They're bonded together but I wondered if I had any chance of their interacting with me? The adoption is going to happen either way. Just wondered. Also if I should do anything special?

@jeffsma1 Good for you to take in the budgies, I have taking in an older budgie and it turned out good, my budgies live as a flock, some fly to me but I do not try and tame them. If you only have the two of them, they can possible be friendly to you with time. It could happen but as long as they are together they will be happy. Make sure they have toys and out the of cage time. Good luck with your new budgies.

They have to be tame, my budgies do not like to be petted. You have to tame them to step up on your hand first, but they may never let you pet them. It takes time and patience to try. You may have to have their flight feathers trimmed to tame them to step up if they don't already.

Talk to them alot and other them some treats like millet or something they really like, and go slowly and try and pet their cheeks.

Sorry to hear about your birds, I had two parakeets awhile ago and when one of them died, the other got so depressed he died not too long after. I don't know if it was related, but he just looked so sad to live without his buddy. :-(

Hi, I don't see any reason not to keep your other budgie. Play the radio when your not home so it is not silent in your home, or you could always get another budgie.

@neewafa Hi sorry for the late reply, you should open the cage door and let the budgies come out themselves and let them explore, put a nice piece of millet in the cage when you want them to go back in and they will get the hang of it. They will go in when they are hungry or tired.
