@Heart111ful well if you MUST know, semen is slightly alkaline (it has to neutralise the acidity in the female reproductive tract), so it'd probably turn up a slightly dark green.

the main problem with me and chemistry is everything that looks good goes for a taste test! like colbalt chloride, that kool-aid that keeps changing colour (In the video) etc.
You can use purple cabbage and do the same. Cut the cabbage soak in water and filter. then experiment with any substance you have at home. i.e. vinegar, shampoo, antacid, or check out your own tap water vs bottled.
universal indicator is very clever, we were playing around with it at school. universal inticator on its own is green, if you add an Alkakli ( eg limewater we were using ) it will turn purple but if you use an acid ( we were using hydrochloric acid ( the stuff in your tummy )) it would turn red if there was more acid than alkali in it, the more of acid or alkali you put in the difference the colour changes, it ranges from yellow to brown, green is neutral, while blue is the hardest to get.

Yellow=PH 6
Pink=Ph4
7 is neutral
lower then 7 is acidic
Higher then 7 is basic
