@berezin99 Yeah, I'm sick of watching PP hockey. Whatever happened to 5-on-5 back-and-forth hockey? They've really ruined the game. And they say all these changes were to add excitement and scoring. I don't know about the scoring, but the excitement level is way down. Goalies are restricted (remember some of the laughs when goalies would end up in no-man's land), no diving calls so players now dive when they feel something touch them. bleh! I could go on... It's sad, but you're right.

@GovOfWolves I agree. You cannot have zero tolerance rules in a contact sport. People talk about the supposedly wide open 80's. I saw a replay of an old Oilers Flames game from the 80's. Lots of obstruction.

But funny players weren't collapsing to the ice or feining death like they do now. And the game was alot more intense and hate filled then today's pansy game. This year it appears they're letting a bit more go, but nothing sickens me more than to see players diving all over the ice.

I'm a born and bred Leaf fan, and was in their system years and years ago. Of course I remember this game, but one of my biggest criticisms of the Buds is their penchant for signing 'retreads.' Good or even star players, but well past their prime. Roberts, Balfour, Newiendyk, Mogilny, Leetch, Murphy...etc. All super players with some gas left in the tank, and we loved them. But to go out and grab the cup from 29 other teams, you need to have top caliber talent at the height of their careers.
