Okay, here is the real story of the cover. It is a picture of a "Door Knocker" of an old manson on the Upper Eastside of New York. It was sold to Creed Taylor, the owner of CTI Records, by Pete Turner. Most of the CTI covers over the years were from Pete Turner. The Bob James Album was produced by Creed Taylor, Rudy Van Gelder was at his best as the engineer. I was a VP of the Label.

Love this entire album.It's a classic.Very 70's feel to it.Brings back memories from my childhood when my parents used to play it all the time.That cover STILL freaks me out though ! Lol.
