no, el motor no se fabrico en la argentina, es de ee uu. aca se lo evoluciono en las carreras..

No es 100% argentino. Esta basado en OHC de la AMC de principios de los 60 que se dejo de hacer por su baja confiabilidad en el desgaste de la leva. El slant six se fabrico desde 1958 hasta 1983 y todos los autos patrulleros de la policia que ves en las series clasicas de los 60,70 y 80 estan con ese motor (el Slant Six). Informate bien, investiga, no te quedes con lo que "me dijeron, me contaron" . Es unanime la reputacion del motor mas duradero que existe.

si!! ese slant anda barbaro.. con respecto a la reparacion, tenes varios niveles, depende del desgaste del motor.. podes cambiar los aros (segmentos) y repasar las guias y acientos de valvulas.. probar la bomba de aceite, seria cuestion de ver.....

siguiendo con lo de antes, si rectificas a cero.. repasar cigueñal, cilindros, arbol de levas, botadores, bujes arbol de levas, balancear el conj. poner pistones de alta (sin pozo en la cabeza..) valvulas, guias acientos, luego juntas, bomba aceite, nafta, agua.. aca en Argentina cuesta aprox $3000.00 pesos argentinos.. saludos!!

Muchas gracias por contestar, soy joven y mi abuelo tiene un valiant74 Stock y pues ando queriendo comprarle el carro pero no me animaba por el motor, pero veo ke tiene potencial y al ver este video me gusto el sonido ke tiene. una ultima duda obviamente el carburador ke trae no es el original y kisiera saber ke modelo y marca es para tomarlo como una guia y ya en un futuro y con mas experiencia meterle un motor mas grande o un turbo.

desde mexico?? que grande!! te mando un abrazo.. lo del tema del carburador, aca son de los mas comunes, son holley de la serie 2300, de dos bocas, en este caso ese motor tiene dos de 36 mm, yo en mi slant tengo dos de 40 mm, un poco mas grandes, aca en argentina era equipo original de fabrica, este motor venia con 174 hp!!!

el motor tiene hecho el plano del block para comprimir un poco mas, no recuerdo cuanto... despues lo demas, tiene hermanado el multiple de adm y esc., escape silens, leva rt 244ª permanencia.. nada mas... igual anda hermoso..
