  • When is the best time to smoke weed via joints?

  • Brilliant ...ZZZzzzzzzz

  • Does it bother anyone else that he didn't eat fries?

  • He's eating Heinz ketchup. He's from Pittsburgh. I love this video. Real weird.

  • Andy Warhol, you look a little down in the dumps. Maybe instead of eating a hamburger, you should have rolled up a joint...

  • Im..speechless

  • The only reason I know the name andy warhol is because of the doors movie and the gay actor that played him always creeped me out, so when I saw a vid of the real guy I had to watch it Lol JIM MORRISON!!!!!!!!!!

  • @5150gamer doors movie kicks ass

  • He ate that burger like a faggot.

  • I'm really high, and that burger looks amazing right now.

  • Regarding the ketchup placement: To know the truth would mean death.

  • Andy eats a burger - Take 32

Uh, Andy - try to keep your sleeve out of it this time - OK buddy ?

Right ... OK, Roll camera and ... ACTION !

  • Comment removed

  • the video honestly scared the shit out of me.

  • Exactly !

The power of Andy Warhol's ART is Timing and the Action.

first Punk he was with His Velvet Underground and showed Us how to Sell a Copy of an Advertisement.

  • He made a youtube video in 1981.

  • i go from videos on hot boxing to andy warhol eating a fucking hamburger damn i need to straighten my fucking life out..

  • Andy Warhol was fascinated with the concept of fame. That was what all of his work was about. He surrounded himself with an entourage of attractive young up and comers who he called his "Superstars". He coined the term "15 minutes of fame." You all just watched four minutes of a man silently eating a hamburger because he was a famous man. Get it? There. I explained the art. I'm sorry you guys weren't able to think hard enough to understand it for yourselves. Please shut the fuck up.

  • @heiligensheiny I skimmed through it. :l

  • im stoned right now, and that made me super hungry for a cheeseburger

  • wow he looks so comfortable eating a burger. not awkward at all

  • @saradelovely haha

  • Waste of my time. This scene alone means nothing. Doubt anyone's claiming this to be art. Seems like just a random scene from a film.

  • i wanted to learn how to roll a crazy joint but now i think im jus gonna go make some cheeseburgers

  • @BeatlesSuperstars im entitled to my opinion, as are you, but my opinion wasnt directed at anyone, yours was directed at me. so fuck u bro. if youtube was an actual place where people could talk shit face to face, your ass would be kicked bro.

  • this guy eats like a little BITCH

  • @JusAnotherStoner this guy was a little bitch

  • @tinyhousewife LOL, again!!!!!!!!

  • @JusAnotherStoner LOL!!!!!!!!

  • art in it's truest form.

  • why did you take off the bun? and who the heck takes off a bun and then puts ketchup on the wrapper?

  • SO MUCH FOR ART

  • WARHOL PREDICTED 15 MINUTES OF FAME FOR EVERYONE...HELLO YOUTUBE.

  • Now I'm hungry for a burger!

  • Either he was pretty small, or McDonalds burgers were bigger back then. At least it looks that way to me.

  • its amazing how this is considered art...guess i gotta lot to learn

  • It's ART, right?

  • andy warhol sucked so many dicks in his lifetime. so gross.

  • andy warhol sucked so many dicks in his lifetime. so gross.

  • every sound pisses me off

  • I wanted to see him roll a doobie.

  • this is fucking weird

  • andy would rather eat at mr. chows

  • Also of great interest is the fact that he doesn't finish the hamburger, and, in fact, he removes the top bun halfway through. He makes a point of wrapping everything back up as well, around the remaining food, as if to say, "this is all going to the same place; it's all garbage now, and just because I didn't feel like eating the rest of it". Now, that's a pretty salient comment on our attitude towards our surplus of cheap, available food!

  • @jeffhinkle100

that's just a thought from you as an individual, most allegorical meanings behind no one will ever know unless the artist himself tells you. Art is too difficult and too complicated to find the hidden meaning behind it. I choose not to try and search for the meaning that much unless I truly enjoy the piece of art and want to know so much more. I just marvel and the brilliant idea that artist came up with and how intriguing it is.

  • @jeffhinkle100 I completely understand what you're saying though, that was just my thoughts as well.

  • Andy Warhol shows us that art as individual expression is no longer possible. The true artist must now cease trying to be "original" and instead find integrity through comment on the idealised past or appropriation of the present. The "death" of God and the comfortable despair of the modern West demands that escape and indulgence not be shunned as artistic "sins".On the contrary, meaningful art is that which does not strive for meaning, but simply exists and allows the viewer to say what it means

  • @jeffhinkle100 rofl

  • @jeffhinkle100 I would say that the man simply enjoys a cheap hamburger.

  • Warhol was not a genius cause you were bored enough to watch him eat a burger. All he ever did was rip off existing fame and design.

  • I don't really think its because hes a "genius" per se but hes just pointing out the obvious. That when any famous or idolized celebrity does even the most simplest of things than everybody will watch and be amused like little 5 year olds. Thats my interpretation of it.

  • Why leave the top of the bun off of the burger if he is going to put ketchup on the side? I don't trust him.

  • @oldagetraveler lmfao

  • @oldagetraveler So people would wonder why. Quoting him;

If you want to know about Andy Warhol, just look at the surface of my paintings and my films and me, there is nothing behind it.

  • @oldagetraveler I think he took the pickles off right before he replaced the bun haha

  • I do, and I am mr RenderUntoCeaserthanks!

  • Clearly the hamburger represents the oppressed human spirit and he himself represents time and how it eats away at us. Clearly.

  • I GET IT NOW

it doesnt mean anything because he never created any real art

  • i god i'm on a diet. and now after seeing this oh well. i'm going to sonic.

  • I really like this you just have to understand wow.

  • I feel like a failure as an artist for not understanding this.

  • @BeekersSqueakers

it is not in the actions of an artist to try to understand something

  • longest four minutes of my life.

  • if you watch the whole video, you're a homo.. I skipped to the part when he said, My name is Andy Warhol, and I just finish eating a hamburger.

  • hes so cute when he eats.

  • burger king's advertisements have always been rather intriguing

  • Watch me eat a burger everybody? no diss intended

  • what a fuckin feminine bitch

  • he would have appreciated that

  • What a strange man. But, I don't think anyone really ever truly understands a genius.

  • @dtwood1 Especially when what they do is pointless.

  • the most amusing man eating lunch i have ever seen.

  • he's going to get asburgers for that

  • 246 people missed the like button.

  • im about to eat a hamburger.

  • I want a burger...

  • IM CONFUSED. someone explain... now.

  • Lmfao, was he racing through time after he finished the burger and put it all aside? hahaha

  • Only Andy can eat a hambuger better than Chuck Norris, (but he still wouldn't make it out alive!)

  • This is so stupid, he's just eating a hamburger. It's ridiculous how people think there's a deep meaning behind or something.

  • @zebracactusshark Yes some people may look into a deeper meaning of this but I think you are supposed to take it as it is. I guy eating a damn hamburger and he made it famous. Can you do that? It is what it is. Don't call it stupid when you pointed out yourself what he was getting across. He's just eating a hamburger. Sit back and enjoy ; )

  • @zebracactusshark I don't think Mcdonalds thinks this is stupid, specially the marketing department, think beyond the box.

Btw. do you have any thoughts of eating a burger anytime soon, wondering why!

  • @aptpupil77

Take a look at the bag the hamburger was in. It's from Burger King, not McDonald's.

  • I think this made me a vegetarian

  • to map what drugs andy did, one must first chart what drugs he did not do, and then the remaining would be what he did, and it would look alot like the like to dislike bar. dislike being the did not do.

  • fake. andy warhol was a vegetarian.

  • so that means this burger was meat?

  • It's hard to explain how many thought just went through my mind right now.

  • was the bag one of the items sold at auction

  • If I did not know any better I would say they need to give him a urine test.

    LOL :)

  • i suddenly have a craving for fast food

  • @TheMcPavan same here dude

  • what the fuck. this is amazing. why did he take off the top bun then add ketchup right next to the sandwich? This video has brought more questions than views

  • @midgetboi707 -yup i caught that to.

  • personally i love this video, and i find myself watching it very often, even though i know it's only andy eating a cheeseburger. i love it.

  • i dont think he was messing with people. i think he's trying to draw comparisons to how people feel about drugs such as pot, and how people view them as destructive, with how destructive fast food is, which at the time was considered wholesome. the four minutes of him eating is to meditate on that fact. also, it reminded me of how sick that type of food makes me.

  • were all pavlov's dogs, if you didn't know this was going to be just him eating a burger, you would continue watching thinking eventually as something always does on tv something will happen but it never does.

he was demonstrating the power of film i think you'll sit and watch but not know why.

    TL;DR TROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLINNNNNNNNNNN'

  • really boring.. I am surprised he didn't burp as fast as he ate it. I bet he saved the packaging too.

  • this guys a freak

  • @surfingcoolguy123 you shouldn't call people freaks solely because you're incapable of understanding their genius. thanks for playing, try again later.

  • Man, why did I just watch him eat a burger... It was so interesting

  • It doesn't come out.

  • The man is a genius. he was able to fool so many peoplewith his trickery. I bow to him for that lulz

  • I like the part where he ate a hamburger.

  • @dangeroftime LOL

  • Andy Warhol was a weirdo. That probably helped make him a great artist.

  • why add that hes not rolling a joint if hes not rolling a joint....

  • @music7adore Because he's obviously not rolling a joint. Duh.

  • he wasnt really a creep, just difficult to understand to a lot of people. this video made me really fucking hungry for a burger

  • Warhol was the biggest troll ever.

He got god knows how many people to sit and watch him eat a hamburger for four minutes.

    The man was epic.

  • @Karlfalcon I think it's just a trend.

  • @Karlfalcon Or was Leth the troll?

  • @Karlfalcon Hell yeah. If you can get famous for painting soup cans and shit, you must have something going on. LOL.

  • The guy was a huge CREEP!!!

  • love this

  • @samshanksamshank

He may have been finished eating without eating the whole burger.

  • @UserRED13 wisdom.

  • @xbitemexxx Why, thank you. It seemed easy to me.

  • @UserRED13 Yeah some people try to read into shit like this wayy too much haha.

  • @xbitemexxx I guess... as an artist, I read into a lot of things. I just think some people may overdo it. It's hard to explain.

  • @UserRED13 I get it, I'm an artist myself. Addressing and discussing artwork is an art in itself, I just get peeved when people want it to be something it's not, it should be void of all personal issues.

  • @xbitemexxx I understand where you're coming from. At the same time, I think people's interpretations to art can be special because of how they can relate to it.

  • @samshanksamshank Yeah, because if we just sat and thought about how wasteful we are that would do us so much good.

  • .....i'm hungry now =.=''

  • Now I want a hamburger.

  • He got you all to watch him, now go out and watch the rest of the world. Not too diff.

  • very entertaining :D

  • what a dumbass

  • ... why does he take off the top bun and fold the rest in half? I mean... the video made perfect sense up until that point...

  • It makes it more meaty and yummy that way. I can hardly believe you haven't ever done that yourself.

That was the best fast-food advertisement I ever saw in my life. I want a Burger King hamburger now.

  • AMERICA. thats what i get from this vid.

  • Interesting.

  • I dont think theres anything to "get". Maybe there was a crazy party going on in the next room and he told someone he was going to roll a joint and taped this. Or its an anti drug message. Could mean anything really.

  • I Like the uncomfortable minute or so from 3:20 to 4:08

  • He looks like an old Chris crocker LOLOLOLLOL

  • i get it cuz he's hella blazed in this video

haha jk this is hella random

  • I dont get it

  • You gotta be blazed to appreciate this

  • Where were the fries?

  • or the hersey's pie and the coke icey?

  • okay so I appreciate good art, and I'm a pretty big fan of Andy, but i dont quite get how ppl think this is artistic. It is very American, and very simplistic, but how is watching Andy Worhol eat a hamburger art? im not bashing, just curious...

  • @Chubbysoccer your curiosity is telling (or whatever). Don't try to over analyze man. This shit is like 30 years old, it's meant to be a mind fuck for people who'd be like "THIS IS ARRRT????? WhART????"

  • i think that it's the scrutiny of his natural and personal idiosyncracies which differ from person to person to make this. i wouldn't have put ketchup or squashed the bag. it's just anything normal.

  • @Chubbysoccer art is based on interpertations right? My interpertation is it doesn't matter if you a average joe or a eccentric artist or how you eat the burger, a burger by the king still taste alright.

  • Probably the best art he ever made...

  • He is lilly dippin in the ketchup... c'mon Andy, dunk that shit!

  • well. he was gay. and that's a feminine dip if I've ever seen one!

  • @drumlord420 he wasnt gay

  • dude. Andy Warhol was gay. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art and minored in Art History. Do some research before you debate.

  • No sir you are wrong. I met Andy Warhol in the 70's and he was straight as a board. I don't know what classes you took in college that discussed the sexuality of Andy Warhol but they were incorrect.

  • Does it matter? Would he be a different person? I don't think whether or not he's gay is the issue... but it's whether or not you guys have a problem with gay people. This video has absolutely nothing to do with Andy Warhol's sexuality, and to bring it up at all in the comment of a video of the man eating a burger... well that's insecurity if I've ever seen it.

  • I really like his style. Just this week I sat in a Burger King eating lunch next to a lot of marginally employed (at best) people and people on jury duty. I was shovelling down a giant $6.95 combo meal thinking 1. that it was way too much food for one sitting, 2. that Heinz ketchup is a godsend, and 3. that I could steal a giant handful of napkins to defray $1 off my general expenses. So, since I'm probably too lazy to write up or film my thoughts beyond this post,I'm glad Warhol made this film!

  • dude i think that guy is toasted... i mean honestly

  • What is this I dont even

  • It's so subtle but it's right in front of you. I guy eating a hamburger from a fast food joint. The bag, the box that the hamburger is in, the ketchup that is tough to get out of the bottle. So American.

  • what the fuck is this, and why the hell is it on the internet

  • he eats fast lmao XD ugh that man was so fascinating and hilarious...he was just interesting overall =]

  • yawn

  • motion art.

  • hahah who he hell dips their hamburger in ketchup?? gotta love andy

  • @jasminr70 I dip my burgers in ketchup =>

  • same here. I also dip it in bbq sauce

  • i do.

  • I will next time.

  • andy warhol was an enigma. very interesting man.

  • I don't know why, but I feel like a..

(leans forward to the computer screen..)

    buurgeerr kiiing...

  • wow,art was really easy to make back then, lol

  • It's a screen test for a Burger King commercial with Andy Warhol doing a theme he's known for in his films--I don't know if it ever made it to the public (in its final edit) for television; @ 0m2s in the lower right corner for 3 seconds are the letters S/T (screen/test) and @ 0m31s is an audio beep for to do for synching the start.

  • this is totally a andy warhol... watching some of his work before... there probably isn't a meaning behind any of this... it is just true andy warhol... fantastic

  • BRAVO!

  • I don't get it.

  • Pretty fantastic

  • was that supposed to be art?

  • Could it be that the hamburger represents life, and how many people say they "live," or in this case "eat the hamburger" when in reality, they just throw half of it away?

    I feel high...

  • This made me hungry for some reason.
